Justin Bieber's Team Insist Calvin Klein Ads Weren't Photoshopped, Threaten Lawsuit

Justin Bieber was recently revealed as the new Marky Mark, a.k.a. the new face of Calvin Klein. But now there are claims that the photos of a bulky Biebs in his underwear were Photoshopped.

Website BreatheHeavy.com released the allegedly unretouched photo of Bieber as a GIF, which suggests that his muscles, bulge and hands have been increased in size. An image from a behind-the-scenes video also shows him with less body hair than in the official ads.

Bieber's team has denied any use of Photoshop on the ads, according to a letter obtained by TMZ claiming that the photo from BreatheHeavy is fake. His team also apparently sent BreatheHeavy a cease-and-desist letter, requesting them to remove the GIF and admit to falsehood. The website has since responded, deleting the image from Instagram, apologizing to Bieber and retracting their claims in the following statement:

Team Bieber sent BreatheHeavy a cease and desist letter because of the alleged un-retouched Calvin Klein photo we posted, asking we remove the picture in question as well as provide a retraction.

Because BreatheHeavy is not about making anyone feel bad or intentionally stirring the pot (and are definitely not here for lawsuits), we shall retract the story per request.

We sincerely apologize to Bieber for the hit to his ego and to the millions of tweens on social media we upset.

Calvin Klein also posted a photo of a shirtless Bieber to their Instagram on Friday night with the caption, "Can't touch this."

Can't touch this. Flashback to @justinbieber live onstage during #fashionrocks. #mycalvins #fbf

Major congrats are in order for none other than Kim Kardashian West!

The 34-year-old has landed her second Vogue cover, this time for its Australian edition. But instead of being decked out in a wedding gown and cuddled by husband Kanye West, the reality star went with a more natural look for the glossy's February issue.

Kardashian shocked everyone with her first Vogue cover, so there is sure to be some reaction from both supporters and less enthusiastic readers alike. But love or hate her, there's no denying she looks gorgeous in an all-white ensemble and natural looking makeup.

Between this, breaking the Internet and landing Elle UK's January cover, it's been a pretty great few months for Kim. Who knows, perhaps maybe we'll even see a smile out of her sometime soon.

Here's the 1st look of my February cover with Australian Vogue!!!!

Nick Verreos Sees a Marriage Between Fashion Geeks and Computer Geeks

Former Project Runway contestant and designer Nick Verreos stopped by the Samsung Blogger Lounge to talk about the future of wearable technology. Essentially, there's no excuse for not being fashionable.

He showed off a Swarovski crystal with a built-in device to track your heart rate and burned calories.

Says Verreos, "An actress could be wearing this on the red carpet, and know how many calories they worked up from one end of the carpet to the other."

As a fashion designer, Verreos had some preconceptions about what CES attendees would be like, and was shocked to see "skinny jeans, hipster beards," and other examples of metrosexual confidence. "You guys are stylin'" he said.

Maggie Gyllenhaal Looks Better Than Ever In Strapless Golden Globes Dress

Maggie Gyllenhaal is no doubt known for her boho-style, though depending on who you ask --it's not always so spot-on.

At Sunday night's Golden Globe Awards, the actress wowed us in an elegant Miu Miu dress that showed off her incredible figure. Gyllenhaal, who is up for a nomination for her work in “The Honorable Woman," paired her strapless rose number with a pink pout, studded earrings and gold, jeweled clutch.

The actress looks better than she has in years, though we might've gone with another choice for her shoes, as Gyllenhaal's bright purple heels add a peculiar, mismatched pop of color.

The last time we saw Kerry Washington on the Golden Globes red carpet, she debuted her amazing maternity style. Now a year later and eight months after giving birth to her daughter, Washington is back and looking better than ever!

The "Scandal" actress took a bit of a fashion risk in a metallic, color-blocked Mary Katrantzou gown for Sunday night's festivities. While the dress doesn't scream Old Hollywood glam, we love that she has the confidence to pull off a nontraditional design with so much grace. Plus, her makeup is absolutely flawless. Right?

Check out Kerry's look below. Do you love it?

“I’m just humbled,” Aniston told Entertainment Weekly after the nominations were announced in December. “It’s just all happening so fast and so beautifully. The Globes are a big fun party and it’s so fun to celebrate with your peers. My friend Emily [Blunt] is nominated so I’m excited for her. We’re just going to have a fun night.”

Aniston won a Golden Globe in 2003 for Best Actress in a Television Series Musical or Comedy playing Rachel Green on "Friends."

We'd nominate Robin Wright for a Golden Globe Award every year for her captivating performance as the wife of a corrupt U.S. congressman on Netflix's "House of Cards." Plus, she knows exactly how to turn heads. But this year, Wright left us desiring more.

The 48-year-old actress posed on the red carpet with her ex-fiancé Ben Foster in a black, cropped long-sleeved top and sheer midi skirt with lace-up detail. While it's great to see the two lovebirds reconnect, we're not crazy in love with Wright's all-black look aside from that flawless pixie.

Golden Globes Best Dressed 2015: See All The Stars Who Stole The Show

The Golden Globes red carpet is like a glorified fashion show, with stunning gowns and amazing heels galore. As the event that kicks off award show season, the pressure is most certainly on. Many celebs were up for the challenge and completely wowed us in some dresses for the ages. We were so distracted by all the beautiful looks, we almost forgot that the red carpet isn't the entire show.

The theme of the night appeared to be yellow dresses, with A-listers like Naomi Watts, Jenna Dewan Tatum and Leslie Mann really standing out from the pack in the bright hue. Another consistent trend was strapless necklines, which were seen on Viola Davis, Reese Witherspoon and more, with stunning results.

Check out our picks for best dressed at the 2015 Golden Globes and let us know if you agree.

Golden Globes Hair & Makeup Was Filled With Surprises

Celebrities on the Golden Globe Awards red carpet sported some knockout looks. After last year's parade of the over-the-top glamour, it was quite refreshing to see stars eschewing the norm and tailoring their hair and makeup to fit their unique style.

Rosamund Pike, Kristen Wiig and Sienna Miller gave us bob envy with their blunt, blonde haircuts. Deep side parts were all over the heads of actresses, including Allison Williams, Reese Witherspoon and Jessica Chastain. And we were shocked to see Jennifer Aniston rocking an updo! But it wouldn't be a red carpet without lots of smokey eyes, glossy nude lips and side-swept waves.

Check out our list of the best and worst beauty from the 2015 Golden Globe Awards and tell us if you agree.

BEST: Rosamund Pike

rosamund pike

Pike may have been the first big-name actress to show up on the red carpet, but she also had one of the most beautiful looks of the night. Her razor-sharp angled bob framed her heart-shaped face beautifully. Her lashes looked long and lush, fanning out towards her peachy cheeks and glossy lips painted in Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Ingenue Lipshine.

BEST: Zosia Mamet

zosia mamet

The "Girls" actress secured a spot on our best list for the very first time with gray-blonde locks styled in soft curls. Top-lined lids and light pink lipstick added the finishing touch. Keep it up, Mamet!

BEST: Jessica Chastain

jessica chastain

There should be an emoji created just for Chastain's radiant red hair. The Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture nominee looks like a real-life Jessica Rabbit with side-swept waves, metallic bronze eye makeup and coral lips.

BEST: Kerry Washington

kerry washington

Washington may have left us a bit underwhelmed with her dress, but the 37-year-old made up for it in the beauty department with her signature smoldering eyeshadow, matte face makeup and a stained berry pout.

WORST: Taryn Manning

taryn manning

There's nothing wrong with letting your roots show, but this is just outrageous. The sharp contrast in Manning's hair color washes out her complexion and clashes with her gold eye makeup.

WORST: Jennifer Lopez

jennifer lopez

We thought our eyes were playing tricks on us when J.Lo hit the red carpet sporting highlights that bring back awful memories from the early aughts and cake-y eggplant eyeshadow and bronzer.

WORST: Camila Alves

camila alves

Another shock to our system! Alves debuted new blonde highlights with a pompadour hairstyle that aged her well beyond her years.

WORST: Jemima Kirke

jemima kirke

Kirke is suffering from a bad case of "raccoon eyes" due to the messy application of her smokey eye makeup. The shadows make her piercing blue eyes seem even smaller.

Jared Leto is a rockstar, award-winning actor and apparently, a hairstyle maven.

While we couldn't get enough of his long, ombré locks during last year's award season, looks like he's got a new plan for 2015. Enter the year of the braid, which Leto wore while he presented the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress to Patricia Arquette.

Of course, braids are NOTHING new, because hello, they've been around forever. And who can forget Cary "French Braids" Fukunaga, right?

Anyway, we're just going to drop this gem here, as we literally have zero words, just fangirl screams.

Ever-gorgeous supermodel (and your pretend best friend) Chrissy Teigen had a rare thing happen to her at the 2015 Golden Globes: she wasn't exactly ready for her close-up. But, because she's just the chillest, Teigen was ready to make fun of herself, too. First on Twitter:

The red carpet at a major award show like the Golden Globes provides A-listers with an excellent opportunity to show their sartorial prowess, but unfortunately not all celebs hit it out of the park this time around.

One too many stars showed up in dresses that looked like costumes. A-listers like Lana Del Rey and Keira Knightley fell flat in ensembles better suited for Halloween rather than the red carpet, while Melissa McCarthy and Zosia Mamet's outfits just left us scratching our heads.

Golden Globe Awards Hair Was All About The Deep Side Part

The hair and makeup at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards was filled with twists and turns, but there was at least one trend that dominated the red carpet: deep side parts.

This dramatic sectioning of hair is a simple transition from the typical middle part, and it complements various face shapes and hairstyles. From Lorde and Katie Holmes' sleek ponytails to Diane Kruger and Allison Williams' glamorous waves, deep side parts are perfect for showing off your "good" side.

See which stars rocked the deep side part trend at the Golden Globes.

Actors may dream about winning a Golden Globe, but when it comes to color they actually wore to the event this year, silver is the clear winner.

Stars brought fierce glamour to the red carpet with sequins, rhinestones, feathers and more. Some nailed it, some... did not. But there's no question that silver sparkles are in this awards season.

Take a look at all the people who wore 'em to the Golden Globes this year.

We Spotted Lots Of Pretty Pleats On The Golden Globes Red Carpet

The Golden Globes red carpet was filled with all our favorite fashion trends: eye-catching embellishments, bold colors, elegant accessories, sexy cutouts and more.

The one trend we weren't expecting to see was...pleats!

Besides the fact that they aren't the most flattering, the accordion-esque details can also skew very young (think: Catholic school uniform). However, there was nothing juvenile about the fabulous folds we spotted on Sunday night's red carpet. From Jessica Chastain's ultra sexy knife-pleated gown to Lupita Nyong'o's flouncy floral number, we were impressed by how glamorous and chic pleats can be.

Check out the pretty pleated looks from the 2015 Golden Globes below. Are you a fan?

Golden Globes 2015 Tweets From Women Prove Amy And Tina Should Host Forever

$

We'll admit, our Golden Globes countdown has been an emotional affair. As we prepared to watch beloved funny ladies Tina Fey and Amy Poehler host the ceremony for the third and final year, we relived some of our favorite moments, listened to Lionel Richie's "Once, Twice, Three Times A Lady" on loop and brushed up on some of the most badass women in entertainment this year.

This year, Poehler and Fey addressed the landslide of recent sexual assault allegations against Bill Cosby head on. They lampooned gender stereotypes while reminding us just how pervasive they are.

If this year's Golden Globes taught us anything, it's that women are dominating TV. Our small screens have been filled with women of color, young women, gay women, women with mental illness, transwomen, women with good intentions and women motivated by greed over the last year. Put simply, women make for great TV.

It has also been a historic year for women in film. Ava DeVurnay became the first African-American woman ever nominated in the Best Director category for "Selma." Also nominated for Best Picture, "Selma" explores critical moments in the civil rights movement with increased attention to roles of women in one of the most important eras in American history.

Some highlights from the 2015 Golden Globes included:
--Amy and Tina listing the amazing credentials of Amal Clooney, whose husband George Clooney received the for the Cecil B DeMille lifetime achievement award. Finding such a remarkable woman to agree to marry you definitely a lifetime achievement. (Clooney seemed to agree.)

--"Jane the Virgin" star Gina Rodriguez taking home the award for Best Actress in a TV Comedy. She thanked showrunner Jennie Urman for "making me your jane." Women in Hollywood = more women in Hollywood.

--Benedict Cumberbatch photobombing Meryl Streep and Margaret Cho.

--"Transparent" creator Jill Soloway thanked her mother and transwomen and men everywhere, dedicating the award to the memory of Leelah Alcorn, an Ohio trans teen who committed suicide in December.

--Kristen Wig and Bill Hader proving they should definitely host the awards next year.

--Amy Adams celebrating strong female voices accepting the award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy.

--A man won a best actor award for playing a woman. Jeffrey Tambor accepted the award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance in the role of Maura Pfefferman in "Transparent."

--Jane Fonda joking that "It's nice that men at last are getting the recognition they deserve for being good at comedy!" as Lily Tomlin laughed along.

--Julianne Moore winning Best Actress in a Drama Motion Picture for "Still Alice," despite being told "no one wants to see a movie about an old woman," as she recalled in her speech.

--An honorary mention goes to the trailer for the third season of "House of Cards," which premiered during a commercial break. Because Robin Wright is so damn fierce.

We gathered some of the best reactions from women on Twitter to the 2014 Golden Globe Awards:

The Most Feminist Moments Of The 2015 Golden Globes

$
0
0
If the 2015 Golden Globes taught us anything, it's that women's stories matter -- and girls truly do rule. This year's Globes gave us one badass feminist moment after another. (We are convinced that allowing people to eat and drink at an awards show makes everything better.)

There were some less-than-ideal parts of the show (i.e. Kevin Hart calling Salma Hayek "aggressive," Jeremy Renner's creepy joke about J.Lo's breasts, the entire North Korea bit), but overall it delivered serious lady power -- after all, four out of five of the shows nominated for Best Comedy have female showrunners -- and some deeply powerful acceptance speeches.

We rounded up the 11 most feminist moments of the night:

1. Tina Fey poked fun at the props given to male actors who undergo physical transformations for roles -- and simultaneously got in a jab at bullsh*t beauty standards.
"It took me three hours today to prepare for my role as a human woman," she quipped.

2. Patricia Arquette gave a beautiful shout-out to single mothers and all that they do.
"You placed in my hands the part of Olivia, an under-appreciated single mother," she said. "Thank you for shining a light on this woman and the millions of women like her and for allowing me to honor my own mother with this beautiful character."

3. Amy Poehler and Tina Fey threw some serious shade at Bill Cosby.
Our girls didn't hold back when alluding to the more than 20 women who have come forward with allegations against Cosby. When describing the plot "Into The Woods" Poehler joked, "Cinderella ran away from her prince, Rapunzel was thrown from a tower... and Sleeping Beauty just thought she was getting coffee with Bill Cosby." Fey then proceeded to impersonate Cosby, quipping: "I put the pills in the people! The people did not want the pills in them!” Zing.

amy and tina

4. Joanne Froggatt used her acceptance speech to elevate the voices of rape survivors.
"I received a small number of letters from survivors of rape," she said. "One woman summed up the thoughts of many by saying she wasn't sure why she'd written but she just felt in some way she wanted to be heard. I'd like to say, I heard you and I hope saying this so publicly in some way means you feel the world hears you."

5. Amy Adams reminded us just how much female role models matter.
"It's just so wonderful that women today have such a strong voice. And I have a 4-and-a-half-year-old and I'm so grateful to have all the women in this room; you speak to her so loudly. She watches everything and she sees every thing. And I'm just so so grateful for all of you women in this room who have such a lovely, beautiful voice."

amy adams

6. Gina Rodriguez made it clear why having diversity on TV matters -- specifically positive representations of the Latino community.
"This award is so much more than myself. It represents a culture that wants to see themselves as heroes," the "Jane the Virgin" actress said. "My father used to tell me to say every morning: ‘Today is going to be a great day. I can and I will.' Well, Dad. Today is a great day. I can and I did."

7. Tina Fey pointed out just how damn impressive Amal Clooney is. (George is a total trophy husband.)
Fey pointed out that Amal is a "human rights lawyer who worked on the Enron case, an advisor to Kofi Annan on Syria and was a appointed to a three-person commission investigating rules of war violations in the Gaza strip. So tonight her husband is getting a lifetime achievement award.”

8. "Transparent"-creator Jill Soloway drew attention to the discrimination still faced by trans people on a daily basis. Everyone deserves to live their truth regardless of their gender identity.
“This award is dedicated to the memory of Leelah Alcorn and too many trans people who die too young," she said. "And it’s dedicated to you, my trans parent, my moppa. You’re watching at home right now. I just want to thank you for coming out because in doing so you made a break for freedom, you told your truth, you taught me how to tell my truth and make this show. And maybe we’re going to be able to teach the world something about authenticity and truth and love. To love."

Jeffrey Tambor gave a similarly powerful acceptance speech, thanking the trans community for "letting us be a part of the change."

9. Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda put to rest the "woman aren't funny" line once and for all.
"It's nice that men at last are getting the recognition they deserve for being good at comedy!," said Fonda. "We can put to rest that negative stereotype that men just aren't funny," remarked Tomlin. (We really could not be more excited about their upcoming Netflix show.)

10. Maggie Gyllenhaal broke down the idea that all great roles for women have to depict "strong" women. Complicated women FTW.
"I've noticed a lot of people talking about the wealth of roles for powerful women in television lately," she said when accepting her award. "And when I look around the room at the women who are here and I think about the performances that I've watched this year what I see actually are women are sometimes powerful and sometimes not, sometimes sexy, sometimes not, sometimes honorable, sometimes not, and what I think is new is the wealth of roles for actual women in television and in film. That's what I think is revolutionary and evolutionary."

maggie gyllenhaal

11. Julianne Moore's win proved that older women's stories must be told.
Moore won the Best Actress in a Drama Motion Picture award for "Still Alice," despite being told "no one wants to see a movie about an old woman."
