The Freedom to #SimplyBekini

$
0
0
The celebration of the birth of our nation is upon us, and we are all breaking out the red, white and blue to celebrate the fact that we're able to live free in this great country.

But how many of us are really feeling free this Fourth of July? And how many of us are feeling ashamed to get out there and be who we are because of the number on the scale? Shouldn't we all feel free to rock our stars-and-stripes bikini, even if we don't have the perfect "bikini body?"

Tess Holliday's new #simplybekini campaign is a great reminder to us all that there's no such thing as a perfect body and that we should start enjoying our lives to the fullest, no matter what kind of shape we're in.

"There is no such thing as a perfect body and the hardest barrier for women to overcome is themselves," said Holliday in a recent People Magazine article.

Why spend the best months of the year hiding and feeling ashamed of who you are, even if you're not in the best shape of your life?

2015-07-01-1435768341-1926982-Insta_SimplyBekini.png

I put this principle into practice on a recent tropical getaway, feeling more comfortable in my bikini than ever before, despite the fact that I'm heavier than the typical "bikini body" prototype.

Don't get me wrong, it's great to start a new diet or fitness routine in order to become more healthy. It's also totally amazing if you want to take a few weeks -- or months, or years -- off from the gym because that's not working for you right now. Each of us has a right to be the person we are in the body that we have, here and now. Feeling "bikini ready" is something that everyone has the ability to do, not just those who slave away at the gym (although there's nothing wrong with doing that!).

The definition of independence is "freedom from the control, influence, support, aid or the like, of others," according to Dictionary.com.

Being an independent citizen means that no one, not that bully from grade school, your disapproving family member, your pushy friend, that scary trainer from the gym, your rude coworker or anyone else has the right to make you feel like you aren't free to be who are and to flaunt that body loud and proud.

Every body is a bikini body, and every person has a right to feel beautiful, happy, and loved in their own skin. Whether you have a six pack or just downed six donuts -- we are who we are, in this moment. Nothing more than that is guaranteed.

We are so lucky to live in a country where we are free to be who we are, wear what we want, love who we want, and do what feels good for us.

Rather than getting caught up in body shaming yourself out of a good time this Independence Day, get out there and enjoy life. Soak up every second of it, and share it with the people in your life that you care about. Forget the haters and let freedom ring!

Two Double-Mastectomy Survivors Walked Topless Down A Runway For A Powerful Reason

It was a powerful moment: the event was a fashion show that sought to challenge normative ideas of gender and beauty, and there, walking the runway were two double mastectomy survivors, both topless and wearing nothing but underwear.

The two women are cancer survivors Emily Jensen and Melanie Testa, and they were modeling the creations of Play Out, a New York City-based company that specializes in gender-inclusive undergarments. The show took place during Rainbow Fashion Week, a weeklong event that’s part of NYC Pride.

Abby Sugar, co-founder of Play Out, told Mashable that the point of the show was to challenge gender norms and empower people of all bodies. She said she also hoped to spread awareness about “flattoppers,” or women who have undergone mastectomies and have chosen to remain flat-chested.

"We wanted to … show that you can be yourself, no matter your gender presentation or after a cancer diagnosis,” she said. "We also want to … keep breaking down barriers in terms of gender expectations. It's underwear, no matter your gender presentation or sexual orientation (gay, straight, bi, pan, etc.), we should all be able to wear whatever underwear makes us feel sexy and affirms our sense of self.”

Earlier this year, Play Out released a powerful photo campaign featuring double-mastectomy survivors. Both Jensen, founder of Flattopper Pride, an organization that supports LGBTQ breast cancer survivors, and Testa took part in the series. They said at the time that they hoped the campaign would serve to empower other survivors.

"Living in a society that does not reflect the image of my body [type] -- breast-less, scarred, affected by cancer -- has great consequence and influence to those who are newly diagnosed," Jensen told HuffPost in May. "Not all women choose reconstruction or feel that it will make them whole again; some feel quite whole without breasts and without the need to wear breast forms. I choose to embrace my body as is and blithely proceed with grace and dignity. My hope is that other women will see these images in their time of need and that they will feel empowered and informed about flat reconstruction as one option among many."

Flattopper Pride was also born from a similar sentiment, she said.

One in eight women [in the U.S.] will have breast cancer in their lifetime. Fifty-eight percent of those women will not have reconstructive surgeries. That is a huge percentage of the population that is flat, yet people are shocked to see flattoppers,” Jensen told HelloGiggles in a recent interview. “Flattopper Pride began as a result of my realization that people like me had nowhere to turn for support, or even for a compassionate ear.”

Find out more about Flattopper Pride here; and visit Play Out’s website to learn more about their underwear, which the company says are designed to appeal to all genders. Play Out told Mashable that the company is planning on expanding its product line to include plus-size products, and new items including tank tops and bandeaus.

$

0
Headwraps have gradually started to take over the space in our closets once occupied by wide brim hats. It's hard not to gravitate towards these accessories, especially in the summer when they help to keep our hair and scalp stylishly protected from the sun.

Celebrities such as Solange Knowles, Kourtney Kardashian and Eva Mendes are known for sporting beautiful headwraps. It's not easy to recreate their perfect styles, though, so we teamed up with The Wrap Life founder Nnenna Stella to create easy headwrap tutorials featuring her gorgeous line of hand printed goods.

Check out the GIFs and step-by-step instructions below for four fabulous and fool-proof ways to tie a headwrap.

1. The Gigantic Bow

Step 1: Start by gathering your hair into a topknot. Place the headwrap at the back of your head, making sure the fabric is lowered to the nape of your neck. Then, pull ends towards the front.
Step 2: Tie the wrap into a knot at the center.
Step 3: Fold the fabric until it creates an oversized bow.
Step 4: Hide the ends of the wrap by tucking them into the bow flaps.

Step 1: Pull your locks up into a high bun or Afro puff. Fold the headwrap in half and place it at the back of your head before pulling ends towards the front.
Step 2: Tie the wrap into a double-knot at the center.
Step 3: Tuck the ends of the fabric underneath towards the nape of your neck.
Step 4: Slide the fabric back just enough until it has the feel of a headband.

3. The Spiral Headband

Step 1: Pull your hair into a high ponytail or bun. Fold the headwrap in half so that it's lowered to the nape of your neck.
Step 2: Pull the fabric towards the front and off-center, then tie into a knot.
Step 3: Combine the two separate ends by twisting into one large spiral rope.
Step 4: Tuck the spiral on one side at the nape.

Miley Cyrus Kisses Victoria's Secret Model Stella Maxwell In Hollywood

It seems the rumors that Miley Cyrus is at least more than friends with Victoria's Secret model Stella Maxwell could be true

On Tuesday night, the 22-year-old singer was spotted passionately kissing the 24-year-old model while taking a break from filming a music video in Hollywood.

The pair were pressed up against a trailer as they made out, seemingly unconcerned with who witnessed their public display of affection.

Rumors of their relationship started last month after they both started making appearances on each other's social media accounts.

In a recent interview with V magazine, Maxwell joked that the pair met through Grindr, before explaining the two were introduced by Cyrus' close friend Cheyne Thomas, and went on to say that it was friendship at first sight.

Cyrus, who recently launched a nonprofit organization to help homeless LGBTQ youth, recently opened up to Paper magazine about her sexuality

"I am literally open to every single thing that is consenting and doesn't involve an animal and everyone is of age," she said. "Everything that's legal, I'm down with. Yo, I'm down with any adult -- anyone over the age of 18 who is down to love me. I don't relate to being boy or girl, and I don't have to have my partner relate to boy or girl."

Cyrus also spoke of telling her mother she was interested in women. "I remember telling her I admire women in a different way. And she asked me what that meant. And I said, I love them. I love them like I love boys," she said. "And it was so hard for her to understand. She didn't want me to be judged and she didn't want me to go to hell. But she believes in me more than she believes in any god. I just asked for her to accept me. And she has."

Cyrus who publicly dated Patrick Schwarzenegger, Justin Gaston, Nick Jonas, and was engaged to Liam Hemsworth, previously said that not all of her relationships were "straight, heterosexual" ones.

The History Of Sneakers In High Fashion In One Short Minute

The rise of "Normcore" has proven that comfort is king, even when it comes to fashion. Any sneaker enthusiast will tell you, that sentiment has rung true long before the days of trendy Birkenstocks and overalls.

A new exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum titled "The Rise Of Sneaker Culture," which runs from July 10-Oct. 4, 2015, features about 150 sneakers and examines the role the shoe has played in our society. "The Rise of Sneaker Culture is the first exhibition to explore the complex social history and cultural significance of the footwear now worn by billions of people throughout the world," the museum said in a release.

In honor of the new exhibit, CNN released "A Brief History Of High Fashion Kicks" Wednesday. The awesome video provides an overview of sneakers involvement in fashion and is a pretty rad history lesson, too.

In The Future, You Could Control Your Shoes' Color With Your Phone

Black sneaker not really gelling with your outfit? Pop open an app on your smartphone and add a streak of yellow.

+rehabstudio, a company that makes innovative marketing campaigns, recently unveiled its concept for the "Shift Sneaker," a shoe comprised of material that can communicate with your smartphone and shift colors on demand.

A look at how the Shift Sneaker would work. (Source: +rehabstudio)

"Shift Sneaker explores what might be possible in the near future based on various existing materials, which currently only have industrial applications, and forecasted materials like phase change fibres and meta-materials, which are still to be made," Mike Veitch, Managing Partner at +rehabstudio, told The Huffington Post via email.

In theory, there are a lot of clever applications for a smart shoe that could change colors on a dime. +rehabstudio posted a few ideas on its website: You could take a selfie to automatically swap the color of your shoes to match your clothing; a "running pack" could make the sneakers glow different colors depending on whether or not you're on pace; a "cycling pack" would keep folks safe at night with bright, glowing colors.

Don't get too excited, though. The sneakers are still very much a theoretical concept. You won't see them until phase-change fibers and meta-materials are actually manufacturable for consumer products, Veitch said. But when that happens, he imagines these high-tech kicks might cost about as much as an average shoe -- and generate more money from color packs on your smartphone, of course.

For now, wearable technology like the Apple Watch or Android Wear smartwatches might represent the best opportunity for chameleonic fashion. The DressWatch app lets you snap a picture of your clothes and change your smartwatch's face to match the color palette, for example.

And "adaptive" surfaces might soon crop up in the world around you. Veitch told HuffPost that +rehabstudio is currently making smart storefronts a reality, meaning you could get a personalized experience the moment you walk past a shop window. Neat!

Matt Damon Has A Ponytail, So Your Summer Just Got Better

Matt Damon may have reached maximum badass levels in the "Bourne" films, but his hair is reaching maximum badass levels right now. Ladies and gentlemen, Damon has a ponytail -- we repeat, a ponytail.

matt damon

During a Thursday press conference for the 2016 film "The Great Wall," Damon showed off his signature casual style in a button down shirt and jeans. But the real fashion moment came courtesy of his long hair, pulled back into a low pony.

Just when we thought men with long hair was a trend of the past (aka, 2014), Damon is bringing back the look with as much enthusiasm as Jared Leto's braid.

Oh, and for guys who are looking for a new 'do, growing out those locks may not be a bad idea. Celebrity groomer Diana Schmidtke told the Huffington Post that long hair is the easiest style for guys. Think of the versatility: man buns, braids, top knots -- the list goes on.

Plus-Size Vlogger Doesn't Care If Her Bikini Body Makes You ‘Uncomfortable'

$

"Why is it that someone else can dictate that you are not allowed to put something on your body that makes them uncomfortable?"

Such is one of just a few questions worth asking when it comes to what women choose to wear near bodies of water. YouTube star and plus-size fashion vlogger Loey Lane is fed up with nasty comments that degrade plus-size women for wearing bikinis. And she decided to do something about it.

Lane recently posted a video expertly shutting down the body-shamers. She poses important questions like, "Why [should] someone who is larger...have to cover more square inches of their body?" and why fellow beach-goers comfort level has anything to do with what she chooses to wear.

Lane also addresses the common, yet still absurd assumption that bigger women who show off their bodies are asking for feedback on how they look. She says, "Any woman, no matter her size, any man, any human being, they’re not looking for your approval or your praise of what they’re wearing."

Lane's bikini body haters have no right to tell her -- or anyone else -- whether or not they should sport a swimsuit. If you have a body and a two-piece, BAM! You've got yourself one beach-ready bikini bod.

This Makeup Artist's Monster Transformations Are The Scariest Things You'll See Today

Special effects and makeup artist Emily Anderson's Instagram page is one you won't be able to unsee. But we're not sure whether that's a good or bad thing.

The 23-year-old's account is filled with hauntingly awesome makeup transformations turning Anderson into monsters, gremlins and villains. Armed with lots of water-based paints, highly-pigmented shadow palettes and patience, she's morphed her upper body into three-dimensional versions of Doomsday, Medusa and Gizmo.

emily anderson makeup

Anderson honed her makeup artistry skills at the Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles and on the sets of film, TV shows and music videos, including "Lizzie Borden's Revenge," "American Horror Story" and David Guetta and Nicki Minaj's "Hey Mama."

She began dabbling with monster transformations back in 2014, and picked it up again in March. "I was inspired originally by body paint that pro wrestler Finn Balor had worn actually," she told The Huffington Post. "I ended up having the chance to do his body paint for a match in San Jose for Wrestle Mania Weekend."

To help seamlessly blend the makeup out into the crevices and folds of her skin, Anderson uses a total of four makeup brushes and sometimes the BeautyBlender. For more heavy duty long-wear makeup looks, she reaches for airbrush paints.

All of Anderson's monster transformations seem incredibly complex to achieve. "The raptor was pretty complicated because of the angles involved, but some of the Disney scenes or Gizmo took more detail," she said. "I try to challenge myself each time so they are all a little difficult or complicated for me to work out in some way!"

emily anderson makeup

When it's time to take it all off, she swears by soap and water for the water-based paints, 99-percent alcohol to remove the airbrush and alcohol colors, and Neutrogena makeup remover wipes for anything that's left over.

See some of Emily Anderson's most gruesome transformations below and head over to her Instagram page for more looks.

Which of These 5 Dating Personality Types Are You?

$
0
0
Have you ever noticed that people follow distinct patterns when it comes to their dating habits? Have you identified your own pattern? When it comes to dating, most of us can be pretty predictable and fall into one of five basic dating personality types.

There is no positive or negative here. Your dating personality can change, and oftentimes it will over the course of our lives. Humans are complicated, of course, and it's possible to recognize characteristics of more than one type in yourself, but one will probably stand out for you more than the rest.

If you're single and hoping to get into a relationship, knowing your own type and the type of those you're meeting and dating can save you a lot of confusion and heartache!

So, which one are you?

1. The Avoider

As the name suggests, Avoiders avoid! Common characteristics are:

  • Not being proactive about meeting more and new potential partners.

  • Getting easily frustrated and giving up when beginning to date or thinking about dating.

  • "Half-assing" online dating efforts and flakiness when it comes to nailing down concrete plans.

  • Generally uncomfortable flirting or putting himself/herself "out there".

Avoiders want to have an organically unfolding connection with partners; they hope that a suitable partner will appear without any special effort on their part. When they do date, they usually date those they know through friends, work or school. Avoiders believe (or desperately hope) love will "just happen." They can easily find reasons to disqualify potential partners, and feel intimidated by intimacy, especially when they are being pursued.

Tips for the Avoider:

Avoiders need to stop avoiding and start dating. New thinking takes practice - you're not likely to magically wake up one day and find yourself going on lots of dates without a concerted effort to do things differently than you have before now.

Get the support you need- a friend who can hold you accountable can be a great way to keep you on track when you feel like throwing in the towel. Online dating, singles events or working with a professional dating coach or matchmaker are all ways to jumpstart your love life. If you practice your dating skills you will greatly improve your confidence and de-mystify the process of dating. If your new actions feel uncomfortable, take that as a good sign!

2. The Dreamer

Dreamers have a very active imagination when it comes to their love lives - even when they're not dating at all. Common characteristics are:

  • Prone to elaborate fantasies about a crush or being reunited with an ex.

  • Becoming fixated on one person, even if that person hasn't demonstrated a concrete interest in dating you.

  • Tendency to compare potential partners to the "ideal" partner you imagine - an ex, crush or vision of the "perfect" man or woman.

  • Unwillingness to date anyone unless you feel instant chemistry and passion.

Dreamers believe in love at first sight and feel that anything less is a waste of time. They don't easily move on if their attraction to another is not reciprocated or the other person isn't seeking a relationship. Dreamers can easily be taken advantage of by someone who enjoys their attention but isn't interested in being a partner. They can be highly critical of those they're not already emotionally invested in and see their crush as nearly perfect. Dreamers can spend a lot of time frustrated by the inability or unwillingness of their "dream" partner to materialize or commit to them.

Dreamers tend to be very well suited to monogamy, since they are so single-minded about the object of their desire. The problem arises when the reality doesn't live up to the fantasy the Dreamer has created, or when the relationship is over or hasn't even begun - a Dreamer can stay single for a long time because of an attachment to an unavailable partner.

Tips for the Dreamer:

Similar to Avoiders, Dreamers need practice dating other people. And they need to focus on becoming their own fantasy. What are the qualities you desire in others? Are they present in you? Can you cultivate them? Oftentimes what we greatly admire in others is a clue to what we desire for ourselves. Dreamers also need a reality check - if you find yourself putting someone up on a pedestal (particularly if you're not in a relationship), take a step back. Don't indulge the fantasy but look for the reality of your current situation.

Dreamers should adopt the Avoider strategy and additionally, focus on cultivating personal passions in their own lives.

3. The Martyr

Martyrs can find themselves in the same unfulfilling relationships and romantic entanglements over and over. Common characteristics are:

  • Dating those who "choose" her or him, even when they're not particularly interested in that person.

  • Getting into relationships with those who mistreat or take advantage of her or him.

  • Making excuses for their partner's poor behavior, especially if they have a difficult past or childhood.

  • Becoming quickly committed and "serial monogamy" - can find it hard to say no to a new relationship for fear of hurting the other person's feelings or being alone.

Martyrs can be very empathetic, which is a wonderful quality. However, they can too easily lose their own sense of self worth and diminish their own needs and desires. Unfortunately, it's easy to justify a relationship with an incompatible or even abusive partner if you're not able to believe you deserve more (which you do) or that you can find another person who wants to date you (you can, trust me). Martyrdom can easily lead to masochism if you're not careful.

Tips for the Martyr:

If there is one thing the Martyr needs to focus on, it's their sense of self-worth. If you are a Martyr, it's probably a good idea to take a break from dating until you are able to choose your partners from a position of confidence. The goal here is not perfection - it's knowing that you have something special to offer and you don't have to settle for anyone who doesn't excite you and fulfill your needs. Remember - we all deserve someone who wants to be with us for who we are, not just because our partner couldn't say no.

4. The Nurturer/Protector

The Nurturer/Protector is attracted to those they can care for and protect. Common characteristics are:

  • Attraction to the "potential" in others - maybe an unrealized talent or admirable personality trait.

  • Often "rescuing" partners from some distress - financial trouble, addiction, an abusive or otherwise toxic relationship, or a difficult period of life such as a job loss, health issue or death of a loved one.

  • Can become involved with people at a drastically different stage of life - someone who is much younger or has fewer resources than the Nurturer/Protector to handle their current situation.

Nurturer/Protectors, unconsciously or consciously like a "project". They pride themselves on being able to see a side or an aspect of a person that most others can't see. They secretly (or not so secretly) hope that they can love or encourage their partners into lasting change or breakthroughs. This relationship dynamic can lead to resentment on the part of the Nurturer/Protector, who can feel frustrated that their efforts are unappreciated or don't achieve the results they are hoping for. There is also a danger of unconsciously setting your partner up to continually need your protection and support.

Tips for the Nurturer/Protector:

This dating type can result in well balanced relationships when the person being nurtured/protected is on the same page and enjoys this dynamic. If, however, the Nurturer/Protector finds her or himself in out of balance relationships that lead to resentment, and heartache, take a step back. Look at the commonalities of those you've dated - are you always paying the bills, or helping someone find a new place to live, or providing a safe landing for them to exit a bad relationship? The best way to create a new pattern is to shine a light on the existing one and making a new decision going forward.

5. The Charmer

The Charmer is a highly socially intelligent person, and is generally characterized by:

  • Natural charm and magnetism that easily attracts others.

  • Feeling energized by the initial phase of attraction and seduction.

  • Feelings that monogamy is unnatural/unrealistic (at least for them).

  • A series of short relationships or no relationships at all beyond initial days or weeks of seduction.

Charmers love the thrill of the chase (or being chased). They are naturally adept at attracting many potential partners. They can be impulsive and fall in love easily and passionately for a short time. Monogamous relationships tend to be a rare or short-term event for the Charmer who is especially addicted to the novelty of new attractions.

Tips for the Charmer:

Charmer, know thyself! Society might frown upon your charismatic, noncommittal ways, but there is no one way to be in this world. The key for you is to use your powers for good, not evil. Your number one rule should be honesty, honesty, honesty. Starting with yourself. Do you want to have a lasting relationship? If so, pump the brakes and don't fall into your usual habit of moving at lightning speed.

If you don't want a commitment, be upfront and take responsibility for the impression you might be conveying by charming new prospects so effectively. You probably have left your fair share of broken hearts in your wake and a lot of those could have been avoided if you were upfront from the beginning (before sex) about what you were looking for.

Those non-Charmers out there have responsibility too, since in many cases we turn off our logical brains in the face of the rush of adrenaline a Charmer can provide. Just as the Charmer should avoid saying what they know the other person wants to hear (unless they mean it), everyone would be wise to take words and actions into account when our hearts are involved. If it's meant to be, taking it slow won't stop your relationship from happening.

Kourtney Kardashian Posts Gun Range Photo After Kim Calls For Gun Control

Here's some fun sibling rivalry for you. The day after Kim Kardashian called for more gun control, her sister Kourtney went and posted a photo of herself at a shooting range.

Don't mess.

A photo posted by Kourtney Kardashian (@kourtneykardash) on

Kourtney captioned the photo, "Don't mess," and it's hard to tell if the message was meant for Kim, though the timing is certainly strange. What's more is that it's not even a new photo, as Gossip Cop pointed out.

It's actually a screenshot from a 2007 episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" where Kris Jenner brought Kourtney, Khloe and Kim to the shooting range for target practice. On the episode, Kim was nervous about shooting guns, but suddenly felt "empowered" once she started accessorizing with safety gear. The episode later showed her learning to shoot a massive assault rifle.

The subject of the purchase of guns has been a plot point on the family's reality show several times throughout the series. And while Kim also spoke out when her stepparent Caitlyn Jenner decided to buy a gun for protection on a 2013 episode after the family members were the victims of a swatting prank, Kourtney's throwback Instagram certainly strikes as a little shady.

Blogger Takes Off Her Makeup To Reveal The Ugly Truth About Online Harassment

You look disgusting.

That's the title of beauty blogger Em Ford's latest YouTube video, a three-minute feature that's about far more than lipstick and mascara.

Ford, a 20-something from London who suffers from adult acne, has been posting photos of herself without makeup for the past three months. In the video, she washes off her makeup to highlight the disturbing online harassment she faces. She includes a smattering of the horrible comments she receives on social media daily, like "ugly," "revolting," and "I can't even look at her."

She decided to share the video in an attempt to challenge societal preconceptions of beauty.

"Over the past few months, I've received thousands of messages from people all over the world who suffer or have suffered from acne, an insecurity or self confidence issues," she wrote on her blog, My Pale Skin. "I wanted to create a film that showed how social media can set unrealistic expectations on both women and men. One challenge many face today, is that as a society, we're so used to seeing false images of perfection, and comparing ourselves to unrealistic beauty standards that It can be hard to remember the most important thing -- You ARE beautiful."

The video has racked up over 400,000 views since it was posted on Wednesday.

Paris Hilton Reportedly In On Plane Crash Prank, Might Be Better Actor Than Previously Thought

You wouldn't know it from movies like "Repo! The Genetic Opera" and "The Hottie & the Nottie," but Paris Hilton might actually possess some serious acting chops. That is, if she was actually in on that horrific "near plane crash" prank, as TMZ claims.

The website has obtained documents from the Egyptian production company behind "Ramez in Control" ("Ramez Wakel Elgaw"), which reveal not only was Hilton not their first choice for the stunt, but that they had sent their offer to the reps of other American celebrities, offering a big payday to participate. Sources told TMZ the production company was offering somewhere in the million-dollar range as a fee for a willing celebrity.

According to TMZ, the document details how the entire stunt would go down, mirroring exactly what happened during Hilton's experience.

The production company went as far to assure the reps of American celebs that they had the full blessing of Dubai officials, who would be monitoring the show and providing them with security.

Many regular viewers of the show were quick to claim Hilton was in on the prank from the beginning, despite how terrified she appeared in the video, claiming it was common knowledge that celebrities fake their reactions to these stunts.

However, when a TMZ cameraman caught up with her on Wednesday, she continued to act as though she had no prior knowledge of the stunt. "I think they went a little too far with the prank," she said when asked what she would say to the show's producers. "There are things that are funny and that was not funny."

And when asked if she had plans for legal action she replied, "We'll see what happens."

The Huffington Post has reached out to Hilton's reps for comment.

Demi Lovato has a hot new song and a fierce look for summer.

The former Disney star performed her new song, "Cool For The Summer," at Z100's pool party at the Gansevoort Park Avenue in New York City on Wednesday. Lovato wore a black bra top, high-waisted denim shorts and thigh-high gladiator boots for the performance.

The 22-year-old jumped in the pool with all her clothes on to get closer with her fans, who were hanging out in the water. She posted an Instagram taken with her friends in the bathroom afterwards.

Lovato dropped "Cool For The Summer" Wednesday. She hit back at critics claiming her song is a rip off of Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl" and Jessie J's "Domino," tweeting: "[S]ounds nothing like it and with all the advances we've made in the LGBT community... I think more than one female artist can kiss a girl and like it."

The song shot to No. 1 on the iTunes chart.
