Lindsay Lohan Poses Nude In Bed For No Tofu Magazine Cover

Lindsay Lohan isn't afraid to show some skin. Not only has she posed for Playboy, the actress also channeled Marilyn Monroe in a sensual boudoir shoot for New York Magazine

The 29-year-old has shed her clothes yet again, this time for No Tofu magazine.

Lohan appears nude, save for a white bed sheet, on the cover of the fashion magazine's latest issue. In the image, shot by Ellen von Unwerth, the "Mean Girls" star gives the camera the ultimate smize as she sits on the bed, blond locks tousled around her shoulders.

The accompanying spread, set on the Greek island of Mykonos, features Lohan wearing an array of swimwear and sky-high heels as she poses among beautiful landscapes.

The last time we saw Lohan on the cover of a glossy mag was in 2014, when she (fittingly) starred on Wonderland's Mean Girls-themed issue

These days, Lohan seems to be busy filming a new movie and collaborating with Duran Duran

Here's a public service announcement:

The earbuds that come with your iPhone, those stock white "EarPods" that don't really fit into anybody's ears and send all the sound out into the room instead of keeping it to your private listening enjoyment? They suck.

Instead, opt for these, the most stylish, best-performing headphones on the market this year, priced from lowest to most expensive. Your ears (and neighbors at the office/subway/airplane) will thank you.

Meet The Androgynous Angel You Won't See On The Victoria's Secret Runway… Yet

$

Androgynous model Rain Dove is making a powerful statement about the pervasive beauty standards evident in the Victoria's Secret Fashion show through a compelling new photo shoot.

Shot by Sandy Ramirez, the series features images of Dove posed in similar ways to the Victoria's Secret Angel's in the Christmas catalogue and then superimposing the faces of Victoria Secret models' faces over her body. Her intention is to challenge the way her more masculine, androgynous face does not fit the narrow definition of beauty evident on the models walking the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show runway -- taking place tonight, Dec. 8

Dove intends the campaign as a challenge to Victoria's Secret to rethink the paradigm of femininity, as well as what types of bodies and people receive visibility on the Victoria's Secret runway.

"Every year I see VS promote their show as featuring the 'most beautiful women in the world,'" Dove said in a statement. "During my career path I've experienced firsthand what people deem as beautiful. It's not me. It's not most people. It's limited and small. It needs to change. I've been told I’d make a great parts model. Designers and advertisers like the idea of my breasts, waistline, long legs and long neck. But have literally made gagging noises at my facial features.”

Dove recently made waves in the fashion world, having walked in the largest queer fashion show during New York Fashion week, as well as Queer Fashion Week in Oakland, California. She hopes that this photo campaign will pressure Victoria's Secret -- as well as the world at large -- to question the way we think about sexiness and femininity.

"The face of beauty literally needs to change," Dove continued. "Which means the way we think of beauty needs to as well. That starts with us. Individually. Not hidingourselves and standing up to say ‘I exist. That alone is beautiful.'"

Other models have challenged the Victoria's Secret Fashion show in the past, including transgender model Carmen Carrera. She eventually became the subject of a viral Internet petition calling on the trans beauty to be a part of the annual show.

Check out other photos from Dove's campaign below.

Cindy Crawford On Why You'll Never See Her Trying To Look Younger

Decades have passed since Cindy Crawford first became a household name, but as she anticipates her 50th birthday, the mega-model looks as beautiful as ever. She'll celebrate the milestone on Feb. 20, and has talked about the approach she's taking to aging in the spotlight -- she's not going to fight it.

Crawford recently spoke to People about the women she admires most when it comes to aging gracefully.

"Women like Helen Mirren and Jane Fonda, they look amazing and they look appropriate," she said. "They look amazing but they're not trying to look 30." Now there's one beauty rule that never goes out of style.

As for herself, Crawford says you won't see her trying to look any younger. "I don't want to be trying to compete with my 14-year-old daughter – because I would lose!" she joked with People.

The model has previously spoken about the intense scrutiny she has felt in the modeling industry, calling it "overwhelming." The model was famously at the center of a scandal in which photos of her were "maliciously altered," according to lawyers and the original photographer, and leaked as unretouched.

Still, Crawford is taking her upcoming 50th in stride and has released a new book to celebrate, titled "Becoming." "I always thought, 'When can I just let it all go?'" Crawford said. "It's just never. There is no age now!"

For her, the big birthday is about "embracing turning 50 and celebrating the past."

Lookin' good, Cindy.

Star Wars: Chewbacca's Hair Routine in The Force Awakens Is Actually Pretty Glam

I've had the pleasure of interviewing many top hairstylists in my years at Allure. I've learned all about their favorite products, tools, and how they get their clients' hair red-carpet ready. But I can honestly say that I have never, ever had as much fun discussing hair as I did when I talked to Maria Cork, the supervisor of the hair department in creature effects on the new Star Wars film, The Force Awakens. Her job? To be Chewbacca's go-to hairstylist, as well as care for all the other hairy creatures on set. I spoke with her about Chewy's hair routine--and the results were equal parts hilarious and glamorous. It turns out, our favorite Wookiee is a bit of a beauty snob. You might even use a few of the same products.

Chewbacca is known as a "big walking carpet" for good reason: Each Wookiee costume stands seven and a half feet tall. It took nearly six months to build the four and a half suits needed for The Force Awakens (the half suit was for actor Peter Mayhew to wear in close-ups). They were made mostly from yak hair, with a bit of mohair on the face for softness, and the fur was hand-knotted on durable Lycra, much like a high-end wig. With that kind of craftsmanship, it's no surprise Chewy's hair routine was high-maintenance. Here are all the products he uses (OK, Cork uses. But let's just suspend disbelief for a second).

He prefers a curling wand. "We used Fantasia Instant Oil Moisturizer on tangles at night," says Cork. "Then we'd touch it up with GHD heat protectant and a tapered Wahl styling wand to give the fur a natural-looking curl.

He uses two kinds of hair spray. "On his head, we'd use Fudge Cement spray to keep the hair neat, and on his body, a little bit of Schwarzkopf Silhouette Super Hold hair spray to control it while still having the hair flow around."

He doesn't shampoo every day, either. To clean the suits in between deep washes, Cork and her team used a combination of tea-tree oil and vodka; it sanitizes without extra drying time. They washed the suits about two or three times during filming ("it's a day job to wash it and another day to restyle it," says Cork). During the wash, they used Aussie Miracle Conditioner to give the hair "a really good condition."

He's a fan of the Best of Beauty-winning Tangle Teezer. To combat a unique problem called "Wookiee butt" (the snarls caused by repeated rubbing of Chewy's pouch on his hip), Cook and her team used a Tangle Teezer hairbrush ("The bright-pink one!" she says) to carefully brush out each knot.

#GlitterPits Underarm Photos Are Sparkling All Over Social Media

$

A new trend has women showing off their glittery underarms on social media, and the results are far from the pits.

Posting with the #GlitterPits hashtag, women are embracing their armpits by sharing images of the sparkling body parts online.

Women have been posting images of their sparkly underarms online for the past couple of years, but it was only recently that a proliferation of women joined the #GlitterPits movement.

For some, the imagery and associated hashtag are meant to be a celebration of armpit equality, as Bustle reports. It's well known that women are subject to different expectations about armpit grooming than their male counterparts.

Cosmo UK calls it a feminist campaign, noting that "freeing the pits" is about women defying social norms in the name of equality.

If you're thinking about partaking in this trend, you won't need much. All it takes is an armpit, some glitter and the guts to post yourself sharing it on social media.

#GlitterPits are just the latest in a string of sparkly trends, including the #glitterbeard and #glitterroots.

48 Things Women Hear In A Lifetime (That Men Just Don't)

Don't be a slut, but definitely don't be too prude. Don't be so emotional, but don't be a cold-hearted bitch. Prioritize your family over your career, but are you sure you want to be a stay-at-home mom?

Throughout our lives, women hear insidious, often-conflicting messages about what it means to be a woman, about how we should act, talk and look.

In the video above, watch as girls and women deliver messages you'd never say to a boy or a man, one after another. Each individual remark may seem inconsequential, but listening to them in totality shows just how never-ending (and exhausting) subtle sexism really is.

Commentary on women's bodies, minds and decisions -- from "Stop being an attention whore!" to "Are you planning on working after the baby is born? -- knows no bounds.

So we rounded up 13 oh-so-practical gifts -- like a Crock-Pot (so you don't have to spend so much money on Seamless this winter) and a new carry-on (so you can replace that old ratty one you've been dragging around the airport) -- that would make anyone happy.

Kris Jenner is not like a regular mom, she's a cool mom.

The Kardashian matriarch was basically Regina George's mom from "Mean Girls" as she watched daughter Kendall Jenner strut her stuff down the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show runway, which aired last night. The show marked Kendall's VS debut, and Kris was just fulfilling her duty as a proud mama.

People all over the Twitterverse, including us, were quick to make the comparison between the reality TV star and Amy Poehler's character, leaving us with plenty of entertaining tweets and memes.

'Dark Girl' Project Proves Black Women Can Rock ANY Beauty Trend

$
0

The idea that black women -- especially those with dark skin -- can't or shouldn't wear brightly colored lipstick is the type of archaic and misguided beauty advice that has been in circulation for far too long. Add that to the fact that it's nearly impossible to find foundation that matches deeper skin tones, and you've got yourself a perfect cosmetic conundrum.

Melanie Yvette, editor of the website Beautifully Brown, is on a mission to solve these problems and so much more. The 28-year-old, who is a former beauty editor at Ebony, has launched a project called "Dark Girl" -- a lookbook series celebrating the plethora of makeup looks that darker skinned black women can rock despite society's narrow-minded notions.

"My goal is to show darker women that not only can we wear these striking colors, but we can also wear them in an manner that isn’t too over-the-top or intimidating to those who don’t usually wear makeup -- but would like to try something different," Yvette told The Huffington Post.

The first collection of images showcase Yvette, a chocolate-hued beauty, modeling shades of lipstick from a glossy nude to a vampy black. The stunning photos prove that it's not about what you can't wear -- it's about choosing the right hue in that colorway and rocking it with confidence. In addition, Yvette explains how to wear each hue and suggests specific products that are perfect for black women.

There are a number of cosmetic brands working to be more inclusive when it comes to ranges of colors for black women, but there is still a long way to go. Yvette believes that simply seeing more images of women of color would be a great help.

"And while all darker women aren’t walking around feeling insecure or unpretty, I do know that we are more likely to not try a bold trend because we haven’t seen mainstream ads show us that we can," Yvette explained. "So, hopefully after seeing this project, beautifully brown women will feel inspired to go bold."

Here's a look at the first "Dark Girl" lookbook for bold lip colors. Gorgeous, right?

Before they strut down the runway in million-dollar lingerie, Victoria's Secret models undergo a beauty transformation backstage that takes them from beguiling butterfly to bold bombshell. But while the show itself is big, loud and ornate, the beauty look is always subdued, soft and sexy in a very natural way.

This year's spectacular was no exception. Long, flowing locks, shimmering lips and a luminous complexion provided the perfect foundation for the larger-than-life costumes that made the show the fantasy it advertised.

Curious how the Angels appear so effortless with each outfit change year after year? See below for our analysis of the tried-and-true beauty look of the Victoria's Secret model.

1. Big Waves

Nothing says bombshell like a perfectly blown-out and styled 'do. Models are sent down the runway with soft curls falling from a voluminous crown. Think sex hair meets beach waves. The big, undone look has become the VS signature. To try it out for yourself, start by investing in a good curling iron.

 2. Sculpted Brows

Well-groomed eyebrows have a special way of defining the face, which is why this step is never missed by any good makeup artist. Knock-out brows make each model's eyes pop, and round out the sultry style the show is famous for. With your favorite brow gel, pomade, pencil or powder, sculpt your eyebrows with an up and out motion to add drama to your look.

 3. Contoured Cheeks

Enhanced cheekbones are a staple of the VS Angel look. It brings out the natural curvature of the face, while creating a sharpness that has a thinning effect. This is what makes the models look perfectly chiseled. Highlight your own bone structure using a blush-bronzer combo for a blend of color and shine.

4. A Soft Pink Pout

A pinky-nude lip gives the sexy Angel look a natural finish. Clean, simple and chic, the lip shimmer reads girl next door with a modern twist. Opting for a lip gloss over a lipstick also prevents against messiness, which just wouldn't fly come show time. To get the same light pop of color, try a tinted lip treatment so your lips stay hydrated as they shine.

5. A Lit-From-Within Glow

Sure, the VS models work out, eat healthy foods and drink lots of water, but they also use a little makeup to give their complexion a nice dewy glow. This can be achieved in multiple ways -- highlighter or illuminator, shimmering blush or bronzer and even a tinted moisturizer or foundation with a sheen finish.
