Emma Stone is up for Best Actress at the 2017 Oscars and in our minds, she’s already won best dressed.

The 28-year-old actress looked like a golden goddess on the red carpet Sunday night, wowing in a shimmering Givenchy haute couture gown. Her gorgeous wavy hair, dark red lip and long gold earrings gave us major Old Hollywood vibes:

The intricate bodice and beaded bottom half of her gown ensured the “La La Land” actress looked like the major star she is.

Vanessa Friedman of the New York Times pointed out why Stone’s dress, one of the last designed by Riccardo Tisci before he left Gucci, is potentially pretty historic:

We love it whether or not she snags the Oscar!

The 2017 Oscars red carpet was star-studded, sparkly and as always, dripping in high fashion.

While we would have been perfectly happy to give Taraji P. Henson all of the top spots for best-dressed on the red carpet, there were plenty other equally beautiful looks to swoon over.

Janelle Monae took a risk in Elie Saab that paid off tenfold, while Jessica Biel stunned in a golden, Oscar statuesque KaufmanFranco.

Take a look at the rest of our picks for best-dressed below (in no particular order). And make sure to scroll all the way to the bottom to see ALL the looks from the night.

Justin Timberlake was having the best time at the Oscars on Sunday night.

The nominee for Best Original Song was happier than a pig in you-know-what as he made his way down the red carpet, photobombing as many people as he could spot.

First, there was his wife, Jessica Biel:

Then there was Biel and ABC host Robin Roberts:

And then there was the lovely, totally caught off-guard Emma Stone:

Timberlake was clearly getting amped for his thrilling opening performance of “Can’t Stop The Feeling” from “Trolls,” for which he’s nominated.

Oh, what a night!

The 'Moonlight' Cast Dabbed At The Oscars And Somehow We're Still Standing

”La La Land” might be the movie-musical of awards season, but the “Moonlight” cast collectively out-danced Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling in seconds on the red carpet before the 89th annual Academy Awards.

The young stars of the acclaimed Barry Jenkins film debuted their dabbing skills in a moment of celebration on Sunday night. While everyone else was walking the red carpet, two out of three Chirons, Ashton Sanders and Alex Hibbert, as well as Jaden Piner, showed off their dance moves and posed for the cameras.

From the clip, it appears as if Trevante Rhodes didn’t join in, but, hey, the night is young.

Director Ava DuVernay's Oscars Dress Sends A Powerful Political Message

Ava DuVernay used her platform at the Oscars ― and her gorgeous dress ― to make a powerful statement against Donald Trump at the awards show on Sunday.

The Oscar-nominated director and screenwriter explained via Twitter why her look for the Academy Awards was “a small sign of solidarity.”

“I chose to wear a gown by a designer from a majority Muslim country,” DuVernary tweeted from her account. “Thanks to @AshiStudio of Lebanon.”

Designer Mohammed Ashi, who is from Saudi Arabia, launched Ashi Studio in Beirut, Lebanon in 2007, according to the brand’s website.

DuVernay’s sign of solidarity seemed to reference Trump’s travel ban, a controversial executive order that primarily targeted Muslim-majority countries.

Many people on Twitter thanked the director for taking a stand:

Before heading to the Oscars, DuVernay also made sure to recognize and remember Trayvon Martin five years after his death.

“On my way to aking a moment to remember ,” she wrote. “Our hoodies are still up and the movement is still strong. .”

Here Are The Most Awkward Moments From The 2017 Oscars

On Sunday night, Hollywood’s biggest stars gathered to for the 89th annual Academy Awards. As is the case with most award shows, especially this season, there were plenty of awkward moments.

For instance, we saw Jimmy Kimmel lift Sunny Pawar (the adorable child from “Lion”) up into the air like Simba in “The Lion King,” and we watched Auli’i Cravalho get hit in the head with a flag ― she finished her performance like a total pro, though.

Finally, in what might be the most dramatic and awkward moment in Oscar history, “La La Land” was mistakenly announced as Best Picture, when it was “Moonlight” that earned the night’s top accolade.

To see all the night’s most awkward moments, check out the video above.

What do you do when you’ve just become the first black woman to win an Oscar, Tony and Emmy for acting? If you’re queen of all things Viola Davis, you promptly change into something more comfortable, because you can wear whatever the heck you want.

The Oscar winner swapped her show-stopping red Armani gown from the ceremony for a white suit with sneakers that appear to be these metallic Stella McCartney platform creepers.

Davis, who delivered one of the most powerful speeches of the night, showed off her sensible after-party style by doing a series of kicks that no one in a gown and heels could have dreamed of doing.

With so much to celebrate, it’s no wonder Davis wanted to wear something she could dance in.

Never change, Viola.

You know when you’re picking out a gown for a fancy party, but you also want to be prepared just in case you detour to the beach instead?

Fear not! Gabrielle Union has found the answer to that age old conundrum.

The 44-year-old attended Vanity Fair’s Oscars party in Los Angeles Sunday night wearing what we can only describe as a half-bikini, half-gown, fully jaw-dropping black and blue dress by Jean Paul Gaultier.

The bold look earned mixed reviews from Union’s Instagram followers, but we’re in full support of anyone who can be pool party ready at the drop of a dress ― and is willing to take a massive red carpet risk on Hollywood’s biggest night.

Confusing? Sure. Still epically sexy and so much fun? Absolutely.

Halle Berry Celebrates Her Natural Hair At The Oscars

Halle Berry looked seriously stunning at the Oscars on Sunday night, and Twitter couldn’t help but notice her hair.

The star made her Oscars return with a new hairstyle, trading in her pixie cut and long waves for a curly, natural look. Her hair became a trending topic on Twitter, with trolls comparing her to Rachel Dolezal and expressing sympathy for people sitting behind her, according to Refinery29.

But Berry has no time or interest for the haters.

“I have always marched to the beat to my own drum, and I think this red-carpet look encapsulates that,” Berry, who wore Atelier Versace for the main event, told Vogue. “The dress is glamorous with a sense of romance that made me feel feminine and fresh. With this look, I celebrate my natural hair by allowing it to be wild and free.”

Her longtime hairstylist Castillo used the star’s natural texture as a base and detailed the look with a curling iron.

“I would say I cut off at least 5 inches. It created a whole new shape,” he told InStyle. “It’s definitely a new look for her—we went for a very natural, curly, powerful asymmetrical ‘fro. This is something she’e never done before and it’s just ridiculous how good she looks.”

Emma Stone Gave A Discreet Nod To Planned Parenthood At The Oscars

It wasn’t Emma Stone’s gold Givenchy dress or even her matching gold Oscar that was our favorite accessory Sunday night. The standout accessory of the night was Stone’s subtle nod to Planned Parenthood, one that many may have missed on first glance.

The 28-year-old, who won an Oscar for Best Actress for her leading role in “La La Land,” wore a small, gold Planned Parenthood pin on the left side of her gown. If you missed it, take a closer look at the subtle pin below.

Stone wasn’t the only one to wear her activism on her sleeve. Ruth Negga, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Karlie Kloss and Busy Philipps all wore blue ACLU ribbons as a sign of solidarity with marginalized groups in the Trump era.

Whether it’s a blue ribbon or a gold Planned Parenthood pin ― we love all of these accessories. More of this, please.

The After-Party Looks Were Better Than The Dresses At The Oscars

You know what they say: After the show, it’s the time for everyone to change into yet another fabulous look. At least when it comes to the Oscars, anyway.

Sunday night’s red carpet was full of elegance, sparkle, and golden gowns, but the after-party looks were hipper, cooler, and a lot more risky. Stars arrived at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party sporting dancing shoes, plunging necklines, thigh-high slits, more ACLU ribbons and even one wild bathing suit/dress hybrid

It’s almost like the Oscars gowns won, but then everyone realized that the after-party gowns were the real winners. Sound familiar?

Check out all of the gorgeous second looks of the night below.

Model Hunter McGrady Says The Term 'Plus Size' Is A 'Form Of Segregation'

Hunter McGrady is a breath of fresh air in this year’s Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.

The 23-year-old model, who is the curviest model to ever shoot for the magazine, doesn’t mind the term “curvy.” But don’t ever try to label her as “plus size.”

‘Plus size’ has just gotten this dirty stigma. But I would love no labels [at all],” the model told People magazine in a recent interview. “I would love to be able to tell people that I’m a model, and not have to clarify that I’m a plus size model.”

McGrady added, “I think it’s a form of segregation. I think it sets us back so many years, and I would love to completely get rid of it, and it may not happen, but we’re working on it.”

After landing a gorgeous spread in SI, the young model proved she’s a body diversity champion by sending an inspiring message to women.

“The fact that they’re using a curvy model for one of the model searches is beyond my wildest dream,” she said in a video for SI. “I’m doing this not only for me, but for every woman out there who has ever felt uncomfortable in their body and who wants and needs to know that you are sexy.”

By Matt Sebra for GQ.

The annual awards season red carpet slog marathon finally comes to an end at the Oscars and at this point, we've seen every spin on black tie dressing—or so we thought. This year's red carpet turned up twists on tuxedoes that celebrated formal menswear traditions and personal style, a mix that doesn't always yield successful results, but it did when we're talking about these guys. From Dev Patel's modern dinner jacket to Mahershala Ali's blackout tux, here are the most stylish guys at the 89th Academy Awards.

Dev Patel in Burberry

The Lion actor has aced everything from standard penguin suits to swervy navy tuxes this awards season, and this streamlined ivory dinner jacket feels like the perfect way to cap off Patel's successful red carpet run.

We talk a lot about how black underpinnings can ruin a tux, but this mix of textures, micro patterns, and matte and shine—plus the right accessories—elevates this slick fit to best-dressed status.

Lucas Hedges in Dior Homme

When it's your first Oscars, you want to honor the occasion and look your best, two things Hedges pulled off with ease tonight.

Study this photo before the next time you have to put on a tux and then copy everything Garfield is doing in it.

Trevante Rhodes, Alex R. Hibbert, and Ashton Sanders in Calvin Klein

It would be enough for this trio of up-and-coming actors to turn up to the Oscars representing a game-changing film like Moonlight, but for each of them do it in some of Raf Simons' first designs for Calvin Klein puts these looks into mic drop territory.

Michael Shannon

Wearing a flower on your tuxedo lapel could make you look like you're headed to prom—or it could make you look like a leading man at the Oscars, like Shannon does here.

Jeff Bridges

The three-piece tux is a 2.0 menswear move and Bridges pulls it off with ease.

John Legend in Gucci and Monique Péan

Yes, John Legend is wearing a floppy bow-tie. And yes, John Legend looks fantastic in his expertly-tailored Gucci tuxedo.

Damien Chazelle

There were a lot of blue tuxedoes on the Oscars red carpet, but Chazelle's white-and-ivory underpinnings put his ahead of the competition.

John Cho

Cho's shawl-collar tuxedo jacket is on point, and the actor's slightly cropped trousers add a Thom Browne-esque spin to his rig that feels fresh in a sea of break-heavy pant legs.

Seth Rogen in Todd Snyder

We can't remember the last time Seth Rogen looked this great on a red carpet. Well played, sir (and those self-lacing Nike Mags didn't hurt, either.

The Men Of 'Moonlight' Are Now Calvin Klein Underwear Models

While we’re all busy trying to recover from “Moonlight”’s dramatic, history-making Oscars win, its male stars are quietly dominating the world of high fashion.

Mahershala Ali, Alex Hibbert, Ashton Sanders and Trevante Rhodes star in Calvin Klein’s newest men’s underwear campaign, aptly titled “Revelation.”

The foursome’s stellar performances shaped what the label called the film of the year.” The three adults pose in their Calvins for the campaign, while 12-year-old Hibbert looks adorable in a black T-shirt.

The ads mark designer Raf Simons’ second campaign since he became chief creative officer of Calvin Klein in August 2016.

The label also dressed Hibbert, Sanders, Rhodes and their co-star Naomie Harris for the Oscars ceremony.

Each of these handsome men looks phenomenal, but in an interview, Hibbert declared himself to be the most stylish. “He is; it’s true,” Ali laughed.

All. The. Feels.

The Duchess Of Cambridge's Dress Looks An Awful Lot Like One From The Oscars

The Duchess of Cambridge might be on the other side of the pond, but that doesn’t mean she can’t look her Oscar Sunday best ― even on a Monday.

The royal formerly known as Kate Middleton attended a U.K.-India reception at Buckingham Palace on Monday wearing a sparkly dress that looked pretty familiar to those who watched Sunday’s awards ceremony.

Kate’s long-sleeved, sparkly Erdem dress reminded us of Isabelle Huppert’s Oscars look in Armani Privé. Huppert’s gown was just as sparkly but just a touch longer.

Seeing as Huppert is considered by many to be French royalty, it shouldn’t come as too much of a shock that the two dressed alike.

Now, seeing Kate actually show up on the red carpet during awards season? That would be a dream come true.

Today in totally random: Penn Badgley aka Dan Humphrey aka Lonely Boy aka Gossip Girl is officially off the market, so any chance of your future romance will live on in that embarrassing fan fiction you wrote back in high school.

The actor and Domino Kirke wed in a Brooklyn courthouse on Monday, surrounded by friends and family. Domino is sister to “Girls” star Jemima Kirke, who also joined in on the celebration. Thanks to guests’ sweet social media posts, we have a clue what the gathering looked like, and it’s already giving us major Jessa’s-ill-fated-wedding-to-Thomas-John in Season 2 of “Girls” vibes. Hopefully, this union has some more staying power.

Congrats to a couple beautiful people ❤

A post shared by Darren Will (@smileoutofhell) on

Badgley opted for the clean-cut look, wearing a navy suit and dark tie, while Kirke stunned in a simple floral lace dress.

Domino’s other sister Lola Kirke paid tribute to the new couple with a family shot, which included the bride’s son from a previous marriage.

“When someone gets married in a courthouse, it’s really an open invitation to everyone but the beautiful bride to explore all that fashion has to offer,” she wrote in the caption. “Here, I try a look simply called ‘Pants,’ as Cassius goes for ‘That Dude from #incubus’ and Jemima experiments with ‘Off to Therapy!’ Congratulations @dominokirke. We love you.”

Badgley and Kirke have apparently been dating since 2014, following the former’s highly publicized relationships with “Gossip Girl” co-star Blake Lively and actress Zoë Kravitz.

Congratulations to the newlyweds!

So THAT'S Why There's A Little Diamond Patch On Some Backpacks

Ever wonder why there’s a little diamond patch sewn onto some backpacks

Turns out, that patch is commonly called a “lash tab” or “pig snout,” according to Marie Claire. Historically, outdoorsmen would attach ice axes to the tab with a rope for easy access. Modern explorers might thread earbuds, shoe laces or a wet umbrella cord through the tab, all while looking seamlessly stylish:

Marie Claire highlighted the purpose of lash tabs last month, and the Internet has been spreading the good news ever since.

As old-school trends continue to make a comeback, we’ve seen brands like Herschel Supply Co. and JanSport affix lash tabs to their bags. But these days, they’re more decorative than functional, Herschel co-founder Jamie Cormack told the “Today” show.

The lash tabs on Herschel’s packs are “a nod to the past, to pay homage to those old alpine bags that had these,” Cormack said.

Missing a lash tab? You can buy your own and sew it on, Reader’s Digest points out.

People Freaked Out Over 'The Bachelor' Nick Viall's Turtleneck

Spoilers ahead.

Contrary to popular belief, the biggest bombshell on Monday night’s episode of “The Bachelor” wasn’t Andi Dorfman’s visit, Raven’s orgasm confession or Corinne’s exit.

It was Nick Viall’s gray turtleneck sweater.

The sweater that rocked “Bachelor Nation” appeared as Viall and the remaining contestants visited frigid Finland. Much like the best “Bachelor” moments that came before it, we hit peak sound-off on Twitter faster than you can whip up a serving of cheese pasta.

Some demanded answers: Why the turtleneck? Others questioned whether a man in a turtleneck could bring any woman, specifically a woman who has never orgasmed, to climax. Others made some excruciatingly fitting ‘NSYNC comparisons that we can never un-see.

Check out all our favorite LOL-worthy tweets about Nick’s turtleneck below.
