Khloé Kardashian Dropped Some Big Hints About Her Split From Stylist Monica Rose

$

Last week, Khloé Kardashian appeared to drop some heavy hints as to why she and the rest of her famous family cut ties with stylist Monica Rose.

Kardashian tweeted, “What would you do if you found out a friend was stealing from you?” She then asked her nearly 24 million followers for advice: “Would you cut off the friendship and let God handle it? Or would you go the legal route?” The question immediately made those who knew about her fallout with the stylist believe Kardashian was talking about Rose

Kardashian didn’t confirm those suspicions, but slightly clarified whom she was talking about when she tweeted, “No guys! Malika [Haqq] is my sister! Never ever ever! We ride for life.”

Adding to the likelihood that Kardashian was referring to Rose in her tweets, a report from TMZ claims the friend in question allegedly stole a small fortune from the reality star.

A source told the website that the friend supposedly charged “tens of thousands of dollars in designer clothes” to the 32-year-old’s credit card that Kardashian never saw. Additionally, Kardashian reportedly believes the friend hoarded high-end freebies sent over by designers that were never turned over to the star.

TMZ reports that Kardashian is still considering legal action, but her friends are reportedly urging her not to sue since it would ruin the friend’s career. If the friend is indeed Rose, the allegations would be pretty damning to her stylist career.

The site doesn’t name the friend, but mentions that Kardashian once considered the pal to be “part of her family,” a big clue the website is referencing the stylist.

When Page Six wrote about Kardashian’s “dramatic split” from Rose at the beginning of May, the outlet claimed Kardashian wanted to sue over the circumstances that ended their working relationship. In the article, a source said, “The Kardashians/Jenners are upset because [Rose] was like family to them.”

Request for comment made to both Rose and reps for Kardashian has yet to be returned at this time.

Will Exercise Really Help Me Get Better Sleep?

$

0

The Question: Will exercise help me sleep better at night?

The Answer: An exercise routine can actually improve sleep quality, according to Alon Avidan, professor of neurology and director of the UCLA Sleep Disorders Center. However, there are a few caveats: How you exercise matters and what time you work out can have a big impact, too.

“Regular workouts that are consistent, three to four times a week, [at least] 30 minutes in duration are much better for you than working out once a week for two hours,” Avidan told HuffPost.

The consistent part is critical. A 2013 study found that people with insomnia only started to sleep more soundly after four months of regular, weekly workouts, the New York Times reported. (Apologies to those weekend warriors who pack in a few hours of intense activity only once a week. You’ll hit the recommended amount of exercise, but you won’t reap the benefits of better rest.)

Avidan also recommends endurance-based, aerobic workouts to promote better sleep. Running, swimming, bicycling and brisk walks all help.

Additionally, it’s important to exercise either early in the morning or in the afternoon. High-intensity exercise right before bed can be disruptive to sleep, according to Helen Driver, manager of the sleep disorders lab at Kingston General Hospital and Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada. If you want to work out before you settle into your sheets, try something less strenuous.

“Exercise, if it’s built into your routine, can help you sleep,” Driver told HuffPost. “Stretching exercises, to running on a regular basis, to strength exercises. Yoga can improve people’s sleep quality.”

The reason exercise may help with sleep lies in body temperature. The workout causes your body heat to dramatically rise and then it slowly cools down for several hours after the activity ends. This steady drop in core body temperature signals the brain that it’s time to go to bed, Avidan said. A warm bath or shower at night can also spark the same process.

Just make sure that when you finally hit the hay that you’re also setting yourself up for a good night’s rest in general. Avidan also stresses that it’s important to ditch your devices before bed, otherwise you may undo all of the work you did.

“Artificial light makes it very difficult to fall asleep because it keeps the circadian clock very active,” he explained.

So work out consistently, unplug and then drift off. You just might wake up feeling pretty refreshed.

Even Gwyneth Paltrow Doesn't Know WTF Goop Is Doing

Hold onto your 24-karat gold-plated dildo and rosewood truffle shaver, because here’s a bombshell: Gwyneth Paltrow clearly doesn’t know what she’s talking about when it comes to her lifestyle brand Goop.

The actress stopped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Tuesday to promote her new line of supplements and vitamins (the No. 1 key to wellness, though, is never watching “Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow”).

Turns out Kimmel is a down-low Goop queen and proud newsletter subscriber, so he took this time to run a few of the brand’s, well, unorthodox treatments, like “earthing,” by Paltrow. The thing is, she’s just as perplexed by the website’s recommendations as the rest of us.

“One of the things we like to do on Goop is find what the alternative world says about feeling good in the modern-day world. So, earthing — I don’t actually know that much about earthing. It came out of me not knowing anything about earthing but hearing about it,” Paltrow said. “They say that we lost touch with sort of being barefoot in the earth, and there’s some sort of electromagnetic thing that we’re missing. It’s good to take your shoes off in the grass.”

You heard it here first, folks. Save yourself the click and literally just walk outside barefoot.

Kimmel, for one, couldn’t keep a straight face during the explanation, prompting Paltrow to joke, “I don’t know what the f**k we talk about!”

She also seemed similarly confused about the practice of inserting a jade egg into one’s lady parts and basically turned into the shrug emoji (for reference: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) when Kimmel asked exactly how it works.

“You’ve never been on this website before, have you?” he joked.

An American Beauty Brand Just Released A Line Of Nail Polish For Muslim Women

$

Beauty and fashion brands are increasingly looking for ways to cater to Muslim clientele ― a move that makes sense, since globally, Islam is the fasting growing major religion in the world.

As part of that trend, the Los Angeles-based nail polish company ORLY has teamed up with MuslimGirl.com, a lifestyle website for Muslim women, to release a limited-edition collection of six nail polishes.

#HalalPaint, which debuted during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, features nail polishes that are made from 100 percent halal ingredients. The Arabic word “halal” simply means permissible, and is used to denote items that fit within various religious requirements.

In the case of nail polish, this means that the ORLY polishes are permeable to water and air. This is important because of a ritual washing, called wudhu, that Muslims perform before prayers.

As part of the ritual, Muslims are instructed to wash their hands and arms, up to the elbow. Water must reach all parts of the hands. Some Muslim women forego wearing nail polish because they are concerned it may interfere with this requirement, since it may act as a barrier and prevent water from reaching their nails. For those who have this concern, “halal” nail polish is a potential solution.

#HalalPaint’s “breathable” technology reportedly makes it possible for both oxygen and water to pass through the layer of paint on a molecular level.

ORLY also claims the formula results in longer wear and less chipping, and eliminates the need for basecoats or topcoats. It’s also infused with nutrients like argan oil and vitamin C.

ORLY certainly isn’t the first company to produce halal nail polish. Other brands, such as Poland-based Inglot Cosmetics and the Canadian company Tuesday in Love, have also created nail polishes they claim are water permeable.

Islamic scholars have had varied responses to halal nail polishes ― from those who are cautiously optimistic about the trend, to those who are concerned that these polishes may invalidate the ritual washing before prayer. To be absolutely certain they’re not doing so, some Muslim women choose to only wear nail polish during their periods, when they are not required to pray. Others wear water permeable nail polish during prayer, and think of the trend as an interesting new way to adhere to their faith.

#HalalPaint claims it is certified halal by the Islamic Society of The Washington Area.

MuslimGirl.com’s chief of staff Azmia Magane said she feels the collection is important because it highlights an American beauty brand’s desire to cater to Muslim women.

“This line is important because there are so many girls and young women who aren’t represented in mainstream beauty. They either don’t fit that definition or see things about them that are designed without them, instead of for them and by them,” MuslimGirl.com chief of staff Azmia Magane said in a press release. “This is our way of bridging that gap.”

#HalalPaint’s polishes were given names that would be instantly recognizable to American Muslim women ― including titles that cheekily play with common Muslim names, like “What the Fatima?”, “Ig-Noor the Haters,” and “The Perfect Amani-cure.”

“Many of us are the girls who could never find our names on a keychain, so we wanted to make sure we provided that experience through this collection,” MuslimGirl.com founder Amani Al-Khatahtbeh said in the release.

The collection of six nail polishes is selling for $49 (plus shipping and taxes) at www.halalpaint.com.

Ashley Graham Gets Real About Her 'Full Bush'

Ashley Graham is all about body positivity, and that includes what you do or don’t do with your pubic hair.

In a recent interview with Glamour magazine, the supermodel answered a question from a Glamour reader about her pubic hair. The reader, who’d recently split up from a boyfriend and stopped get Brazilian waxes, asked if she was “the only single woman with a bush?”

“She sounds like my kind of lady,” 29-year-old Graham said. “Honey, I have a full bush. Period. It’s about your preference and your partner’s preference.”

Sounds like a conversation that’s reserved solely for Graham and her husband, Justin Ervin, to whom she’s been married since 2010.

In the same Glamour interview, Graham also dished on the moment she knew Ervin was going to be her husband, and what separated him from the other people she’d dated.

“He was different. He was consistent. He’s safe and a little nerdy,” Graham revealed. “But there’s nothing basic about him. He’s the adventurous one in the relationship. If we’re in another country, he’s pushing me to go hiking, and I’m like, ‘Can we lie in bed and order room service?’”

Sounds good to us!

Couple's Bathing Suit Photo Is Going Viral For An Inspiring Reason

One body positivity advocate, wife and mom is inspiring others with a viral Instagram post about growing to love her body just the way it is ― curves, stretch marks, rolls and all.

On Friday, Instagram user Jazzy (@a_body_positive_jazzy) posted a photo of her and her husband in their bathing suits holding hands on the beach. In the caption, Jazzy opened up about what it’s like to be married to someone with a different body type (her husband was “born fit,” as she puts it) and how she struggled for years to embrace her larger frame.

“Over the years this man has loved every curve, every roll, and every stretch mark on my body,” she wrote on Instagram. “I never understood why! How could he love something that isn’t ‘perfect?’ How could a man who was ‘born fit’ love someone like me!”

Since embarking on her body positivity journey, Jazzy’s confidence has soared.

“I don’t have a flat stomach, I jiggle when I walk, hell if I run up the stairs too fast my body claps (lmao)!!” she continued. “But now I see I do have the ‘perfect’ body!! Every roll, every curve and every stretch mark is put on me just perfect to make both of us happy!!! I love my body and I finally see why he does too!!”

Some commenters fat-shamed her and condemned her for “promot[ing] being physically unfit” (insert eye roll here), but many others shared their support and words of encouragement.

“Girl, my body claps too, can I get a round of applause?! Love this,” one commenter wrote.

“I also have a very fit husband, and I’ve always been very insecure about it,” another woman wrote. “Especially when meeting all of his fitness friends for the first time...I know he loves me and my curves, and I’m slowly accepting myself for all that I am! Thanks for the wise words!”

“You’re beautiful. It’s plain to see in everyone’s eyes, not just your husband’s,” another said.

We couldn’t agree more. Keep doing you, Jazzy!

HuffPost reached out to Jazzy for comment, but had not heard back at the time of publication. This story may be updated.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte always occupy the royal spotlight, but there’s another little royal who always makes us smile: the baby prince of Bhutan.

Bhutan’s royal baby, Dragon Prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck, is absurdly adorable ― that’s just a fact. But he confirmed his royal reign of cuteness with a new photo.

The photo was released as the country’s June calendar picture and marks the celebration of Queen Jetsun Pema’s birthday. Dragon Prince Jigme is the son of King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and the queen

Michelle Obama Reveals Barack 'Wore That Same Tux' For Years

$

Barack Obama has emerged as an unlikely style icon of late thanks to his off-duty cool dad style. But there’s one thing about his wardrobe you may have missed over the course of his presidency: He’s a bonafide outfit repeater.

At least when it comes to state dinner garb, that is. Michelle Obama spoke at Apple’s developer’s conference in San Jose, California on Tuesday, and revealed that while the world scrutinized her state dinner gowns, her husband got away with wearing the same tuxedo and shoes over and over and over again during their years in the White House.

“This is the unfair thing,” she said. “You talk about Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, no matter what we do, he puts on that same tux. Now, people take pictures of the shoes I wear, the bracelets, the necklace ― They didn’t comment that for eight years he wore that same tux..., same shoes.”

Obama did appear to start wearing a new tuxedo jacket, at least, sometime between the 2014 state dinner with France and the 2015 dinner with Japan. His first jacket had a notched lapel, and he wore it to dinners from 2009 on before switching to a peaked lapel jacket. But the spirit of his wife’s comment is alive and well: He wore each tux for years at a time.

There’s no denying the disparity in coverage between the two Obamas and their fashion choices. To this day, people hang on every last detail of the former first lady’s wardrobe (and with good reason: She’s a great dresser). And yet, we’re just now learning about her husband’s repeat habit. Makes you think about the standards to which men and women are held when it comes to dressing for work, eh?

The president reveled in his repeat glory, Obama told Apple exec Lisa Jackson during the interview.

“He was proud of it too,” she said. “He’s like, ‘Mm, I’m ready. I’m ready in 10 minutes. Mm, how long did it take you?’ And I’m like, ‘Get out of here.’”

But no matter how long (or how short) the president took to get ready, there was always a little bit of room for improvement. Obama explained the story behind a viral 2015 photo in which she’s adjusting her husband’s bow tie.

“When the president from the visiting country and their spouse is coming is we greet them at the north portico,” she explained. “We were standing there waiting for the cars to roll in, and I was bored, so I sort of thought, ‘Let me make sure my husband looks good.’”

We love this outfit-repeating, relatable power couple more every day.

UPDATE: This story has been updated to note that while Barack Obama wore what appears to be the same tuxedo for years, he did this with two different tuxedos over the course of his 8-year presidency.

Aly Raisman is saying goodbye to body shamers.

On Tuesday, the 23-year-old Olympic gymnast posted a photo of herself in a swimsuit on Instagram with a poignant caption about the power of loving yourself just the way you are.

“Wear whatever makes you feel happy and confident,” Raisman wrote. “Don’t EVER let anyone tell you how you should or shouldn’t dress. We are all entitled to wear what we want. Females do not have to dress modest to be respected.”

The gold medal-winning Olympian reminded her Instagram followers to be proud of their bodies.

“It’s never about the number on the scale it’s about the way you feel,” Raisman wrote. “You are all unique and beautiful in your own way. No one is perfect.”

As of Wednesday morning, the post had received over 160,000 likes and 1,600 comments.

Ivanka Trump is doing her best to assure Americans she’s just like us.

Just days after wearing a $35 Target dress to a White House event, the special advisor to President Donald Trump was spotted picking up her own covfefe coffee at the Dupont North Starbucks in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday.

HuffPost reached out to Dupont North Starbucks to confirm, but the employees would not comment on who they served this morning.

As Twitter user Yung_Ina_Garten (real name Courtney Couillard) so aptly put it, “Ivanka is just like us!”

Considering her brothers announced a new budget hotel chain on Tuesday, it looks like the Trumps are trying to appear a little more relatable.

According to Buzzfeed reporter Ellie Hall, who also saw her at Starbucks, Ivanka ordered a “non-fat vanilla latte w/o whipped cream” and reportedly used the name “Iva.”

Hall also gave a rundown of her encounter with Ivanka on Twitter:

People on Twitter could not get over the idea of Ivanka getting her own coffee:

But back at Trump Tower, it looks like Ivanka used to get her own coffee every so often:

This Fitness Trainer Wrote A Letter To Her Butt Dimple And It's Perfect

Since she was 15 years old, Victoria D’Ariano has struggled with a dimple on her backside.

The Ontario, Canada-based trainer and fitness competitor recently shared her thoughts in an Instagram post, explaining just how and why the dimple bothered her so much. The now-viral Instagram post has garnered more than 27,000 likes and 1,000 comments.

“Dear Butt Dimple, I remember the first day you appeared. I was 15 years old,” D’Ariano wrote. “Since then you have had a hugely negative impact on my life. Since then you have made me feel less about myself. You not only made me feel fat, but also unworthy. You have always had an impact on what I chose to wear.”

The now 24-year-old said she had avoided wearing bikinis and certain leggings, in an effort to lessen her worries about the dimple. She spoke about the stress her dimple caused her, the amount of exercising she did in the hopes of making it go away and the treatments she contemplated buying for it.

“You took a lot of joy away from me, you caused a lot of stress for me, you made me insecure and took away my confidence. I could never feel in shape as you were always there,” D’Ariano said.

But after many years of letting the dimple bother her, D’Ariano said she has finally made peace with that part of her body.

“I am writing you today to tell you I have finally stopped letting you win. You will no longer make me feel unworthy, not good enough or not in shape because of you,” D’Ariano said. “I will no longer be afraid to wear certain bathing suits or leggings because of you. I will no longer hide you. You are what you are and I have finally come to peace with that. I have finally accepted you,”

#FreeTheBooty is right!

In an interview with HuffPost, D’Ariano said the photo is a part of a series she started called “Courage To Be You.”

“As someone who has dealt with and been medicated for depression and anxiety along with having body image issues I am finally opening up about all of this in hopes to shed light on these topics,” she said. “I want to be a part of the movement that helps fight against stigma towards mental health.”

In the days since D’Ariano posted the inspiring photo, she said she’s received both positive and negative reactions.

“For those who have ever had body image issues they can relate and this sheds light on the topic and makes them feel like aren’t alone. These people react positively as this photo helps them,” she told HuffPost. “For those who don’t understand the severity of mental health and the implications it can have on things, they see this as stupid, and thus react negatively.”

“[Some people] view women like myself, who have insecurities, body image issues and other mental health problems as ‘privileged.’ People want to compare struggles, they don’t think that if you look a certain way or live a certain life you should be able to have struggles.”

She added, “Unfortunately for a lot of people, myself included mental health issues don’t discriminate. You can have the best of everything in the world but if you have these problems it won’t matter and this is what people fail to understand.”

Hopefully, more people will come to understand that through D’Ariano’s powerful pictures and messaging.

Playboy Playmates Recreate Their Iconic Covers And Look As Fierce As Ever

Once a Playboy Playmate, always a Playboy Playmate.

To pay homage to the timeless beauty of its models, Playboy magazine asked Playmates of the past to recreate some of the magazine’s most iconic covers ― and the results are stunning.

Here’s model Candace Collins Jordan, recreating her sassy December 1979 look:

Also featured in the shoot? Renee Tenison, the magazine’s first African-American Playmate of the Year in 1990.

In the feature for the online-only photo shoot, Tenison recalled receiving pushback on her decision to pose nude.

“When I did Playboy, there was a little bit of controversy because I was the first African-American Playmate of the Year and some women were saying I was being objectified,” she told the mag. “But I said, ‘Well, if you’re pro-choice, shouldn’t I have the right to choose what I want to do?’”

The photo shoot was the brainchild of Cooper Hefner, the son of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner and the magazine’s new chief creative officer.

In a clip on Twitter, the 25-year-old admitted that the thought came to him while he was chatting with his mom, 1989’s Playmate of the Year Kimberly Conrad Hefner.

“I was sitting with my mom on Mother’s Day and thought, ‘Hey mom, do you want the opportunity to reshoot your old cover?’ he said. “A pretty unconventional Mother’s Day gift but she said yes.”

The shoot is a refreshingly age-positive move on the part of the 64-year-old magazine, which recently decided to feature full-frontal nudity again after dabbling with a brief “no nudes” policy last year.

The younger Hefner announced the move to return to the mag’s roots on Twitter earlier this year, saying, “I’ll be the first to admit that the way in which the magazine portrayed nudity was dated, but removing it entirely was a mistake.”

Scroll down to see a few more of the recreated covers and head to Playboy to see the rest.

Gal Gadot Isn't Wearing Heels On Her 'Wonder Woman' Press Tour

Not all superheroes wear capes. Some, like Gal Gadot, wear flat shoes.

The “Wonder Woman” star has almost exclusively worn flat or nearly flat shoes to promote her record-breaking, widely praised film. She’s been spotted in fancy Christian Louboutins, sporty-looking sneakers and, most wonderfully, a pair of $50 Aldo flat sandals she wore to the film’s Hollywood premiere.

Gadot is hardly the first woman to steal our hearts by prioritizing comfort on the red carpet, but hers was a pointed decision she said has been years in the making.

“I want to create this trend of doing red carpets in flats,” she told USA Today. “I love wearing high heels, it’s beautiful, it’s sexy, whatever. But at the same time, especially stilettos, it puts us out of balance. We can fall any minute. It’s not good for our backs. Why do we do it? I can wear high heels (despite having a sprained back). But I was like, ‘Let’s wear flats!’ I’ve been waiting for this moment.”

The health risks associated with wearing high heels are well known. The shoes can cause calluses, bunions and muscle spasms ― and that’s if you don’t also lose your balance and fall. There’s even been a push in different countries around the world to make it illegal to require high heels in workplaces.

We salute Gadot for putting her flats-wearing foot down on this one, not to mention, her shoes just plain look cute. Check out Gadot’s flats-filled press tour below.

This Mom Has A Touching Story About Learning To Love Her Stretch Marks

We’ve been in awe of stretch marks since way before Kendrick Lamar asked for more. But for anyone who’s ever struggled to accept their own, or to find self-love in general, this Instagram post is pure inspiration.

Sharny Kieser, an Australian fitness trainer who posts exercise and travel photos alongside pictures of her husband and six kids, recently shared a bikini photo that proudly showed off her body ― stretch marks and all.

Revealing there was once a time that she didn’t even see the point of exercising since she thought she’d never wear a bikini on account of her stretch marks, Kieser shared worries that might sound familiar. But she said that after overhearing her husband talk about how beautiful he thought stretch marks were, her thinking began to change.

“One day I overheard my loving husband explaining to a bunch of his friends why he thought stretch marks were beautiful. They were a sign of being a woman. They are a result of the great love a mother has, that she would scar her own body to bring a child to life... on and on he explained and the more he talked, the more I got it. I had hated myself for the very reasons he loved me. My body wasn’t ruined or disgusting, it had transformed ... into a selfless mother’s body and the scars were a symbol of that transition. A daily reminder that I was a mother. I looked at my stretch marks and I felt pride. I felt love. The love of my husband and the love of my children. Each one of them had been nurtured and lived behind those scars for 9 months.”

Kieser wrote that once she changed her mindset, she became inspired to lead a healthier lifestyle. But her message ― that we are perfect the way we are ― can be applied to anyone’s journey toward acceptance, whether we struggle with stretch marks or anything else about our own, unique bodies.

“Stretch marks or no stretch marks... it doesn’t fucking matter,” she wrote. “You’re perfect. Your kids love you. You should love you. Stop beating yourself up and start loving yourself. For the magic that is a mother’s body is what you have.”

Preach.

When Paris Hilton isn’t blonde, it feels like our “Simple Life” has been turned upside down.

The 36-year-old reality star debuted her new brunette locks a few days ago in an Instagram that left her fans reeling. It’s unclear if she dyed her hair, or if Hilton is fooling all of us with a very convincing wig.

Hilton’s followers mostly reacted positively to her new hair.

Country music awards shows have become exponentially more exciting for fashion folk over the years, thanks in part to the union of Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman.

The 2017 CMT Music Awards in Nashville Wednesday was no exception.

Kidman traded her usual romantic, fantasticanimal-adorned garb for a perfectly ‘90s-esque black slip dress with a transparent black lace overlay, a high neck and cutouts on the hip and torso. The dress, from Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh, was practial(ly) magic

She also posed alongside Urban, of course, who picked up four awards during the event. They sure make a handsome 1995 teen soap couple, wouldn’t you say?

This look gets a big, hearty Nicole Kidman clap from us.
