What do you do when you're one of the most famous names in fashion and you just finished putting on Paris Fashion Week's coolest show? Design hotel rooms, of course.
At least that's what Karl Lagerfeld is doing. Women's Wear Daily reported Thursday that Chanel's head honcho will design a 270 room hotel in Macau, a ritzy, largely tourist-based peninsula in China.
We all know nothing short of ultimate luxury will be sufficient for Uncle Karl, whether it be on the runway or in a bathroom. In fact, when it comes to the hotel, he appears to be taking Coco's lead."You know, Gabrielle Chanel always said, 'I only make dresses I would wear.' And I make only rooms where I would like to sleep. It's as simple as that," he explained.
If that's true, these rooms are bound to be super chic. We'll have to wait until 2017 to see what they look like (and how much they cost per night!).
