Jennifer Aniston Declares Feud With Angelina Jolie Over, Wants Us All To Get Over It Too

Thursday night's Critic's Choice Awards apparently marked first time Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie had been at an event together in six years, so naturally, tabloids made a big deal about it.

But you know who is really bored of their whole so-called "feud?" Jennifer Aniston.

Yep. She's totally over it. Maybe it's because her divorce from Brad Pitt was literally a decade ago and everyone has moved on. But she was still asked about the issue for the millionth time.

"I think that's slowly coming to an end. I really do," she told "Enterainment Tonight" about the media's obsession with their alleged rivalry with Jolie. "I mean, [Unbroken] is so beautiful and wonderful and [Jolie] did such a gorgeous job. I think that it's time people stop with that petty BS and just start celebrating great work and stop with the petty kind of silliness."

Aniston, who has been engaged to Justin Theroux since August 2012, seems rather bored with the storyline and wishes the media could find something new.

"It’s just tiresome and old," she said. "It's like an old leather shoe. Let's buy a new pair of shiny shoes."

Earlier this month, Aniston spoke to The New York Times about the so-called "love triangle" casting a shadow over her life in the spotlight:

“It’s ridiculous -- that the two names have to go into the same sentence and there has to be a compare-and-despair thing,” Aniston said.

How to Preserve That Red Hair Color

$

Ahhh, the anomaly of red hair color -- we go for reds because of their richness and vibrancy, and yet, they are the colors to fade and dull the fastest. Sigh...

Why does this infuriating phenomenon happen? A scientific explanation does, in fact, exist. You see, red hair molecules are the smallest of the hair color molecules which makes it easiest for them to penetrate the hair cuticle (yeay!), but also the easiest to exit the hair cuticle (nooooo!). This explains the immediate luscious vibrancy we achieve when we color our hair red and the quick fading of said color.

Recently, I performed one of my favorite hair color transformations. I took my client from a light brown with blonde highlights to a deep, rich violet-red with brighter red highlights for contrast. She looked smoking hot!

2015-01-16-V__8EC8.jpg

I used the Schwarzkopf Igora Royal color line, which is a high-end permanent color line of amazing quality. Schwarzkopf has a reputation of being true to their color swatches, and from my experience, their reputation is well-deserved. You know what you're going to get with their color. You're also able to cocktail color combinations more accurately, which allows us stylists to feel more at ease and confident with our color ventures.
2015-01-16-igora.jpg

Because reds fade fast, I like to do anything in my power to conserve it as long as possible. I added Redken Shades EQ Clear Gloss all over her wet hair after I shampooed her color out. I left the gloss in for 10 minutes, rinsed it out, then conditioned her hair with Redken Color Extend conditioner. (Side note-I love Redken Shades EQ and use it for glossing and toning religiously. Their translucent formulas are perfect for adjusting your color to the perfect tone, and the lather their colors provide allow for full easy coverage.) The clear gloss not only adds shine, but also traps the color in the hair for a longer period of time. It's not magic -- your color will eventually fade, but it preserves it longer.
2015-01-16-redken.jpg

When my client left, I told her to use a color preserving shampoo and conditioner when washing her hair at home. I personally use Redken Color Extend, but there are plenty of other options out there. It's incredibly vital that you new redheads do not use a harsh shampoo; it will simply strip out your red at hyper-speed. I also recommend that you don't wash your hair daily. The fewer washes, the fewer chances the water and minerals in it can remove your reds. Also, though it may be painful, washing your hair in cool/cold water will also help to maintain your color.

To keep your red looking like it did when you left the salon, you have to get your hair colored more often. I know it can be a pain in the behind going to the salon every 4-6 weeks, but that's just what has to happen in order to maintain your desired color. Even though the upkeep may be a nuisance, the beauty and exciting hues that reds provide are simply delicious. You are a vivacious woman, you delightful redhead, so keep that sexy confidence and vibrancy going!

Love Inc. Wedding Magazine Shatters Gender Norms With Striking Photo Shoot

Love is love -- no matter the couple's gender, orientation or identity.

That's the statement Brittny Drye, the editor-in-chief of website and digital magazine Love Inc., is hoping to make with the publication's latest cover. Androgynous model Dylan Stephens graces the cover in a caped Inbal Dror wedding gown, looking positively beautiful.

Credit: Ryan Carville

The issue also features a photo shoot with Stephens donning both bridal and groom wear -- everything from an all-white pantsuit to a classic black tux to a sparkly ball gown.

"It was important to us that we remove gender from the equation and put the focus back on the individual," Drye told The Huffington Post. "And to celebrate that that individual found the person they want to spend the rest of their life with."

The cover shoot was the brainchild of Drye and fashion editor Krista Roser. They wanted to inspire readers fashion-wise, while also making a statement.

"There is such a variety of human orientations and identities, and we wanted to showcase as many different types of wedding fashions without feeling restricted by society-driven gender barriers," Drye said.

2015-01-16-LoveInc_IssueThree_Fashion2.jpg

Initially, Drye admits she was apprehensive about the shoot (she was worried about it "looking campy"), but once she saw Stephens in the Kelly Faetanini ball gown, all of her worries fell away.

"We were treading a fine line between people interpreting this as extraordinary or insulting," she wrote in a blog post. "However, after I saw Dylan come out in the first look...I cried. I literally cried. As makeup artist Cali Jeffries and hairstylist Jessica Watkins were putting the finishing touches on him, I knew that something truly magical was happening."

5 Timeless Lessons From Betty White In Honor Of Her 93rd Birthday

What can be said about Betty White that hasn't been said already? She's a national treasure. From her start in the early days of television to her iconic turns as Sue Ann Nivens and Rose Nylund to her presence in our current pop culture landscape, White's career is a testament to the power of a good work ethic.

So many of her admirers -- and there are so, so many -- will say that they want to be like Betty White "when [they're] old." But that shouldn't be. We should be like White now.

Here are just a few lessons we can learn from Betty White in honor of her 93rd birthday today (Jan. 17). Don't miss the collection of fabulous vintage photos at the end!

Animals have more to teach us than we realize.
betty white home
White's been advocating for the health and welfare of animals for decades, working with places like the Morris Animal Foundation, the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association and other organizations. She recognizes that animals are more like people than we realize and that we could learn a thing or two from them. In her book, If You Ask Me, White writes: "Animals don't lie. Animals don't criticize. If animals have moody days, they handle them better than humans do."

Life's too short to not enjoy a dirty joke.
betty white
There's often an assumption that the older you get, the more prim you have to be. Not so. White's biggest laughs come from when she says something racy, yet it never comes off as rote. You get the sense that she's not only in on the joke, but enjoying it. "I think the randiness is always done with a sense of humor. I mean, a joke, sure, it can be a naughty joke, but it has to be pretty funny," she told CBS News.

Being a good friend takes effort.
golden girls
Yes, we've learned this through watching Golden Girls reruns, but White spoke to the effort of keeping real-life connections intact If You Ask Me. “Friendship takes time and energy if it's going to work. You can luck into something great, but it doesn't last if you don't give it proper appreciation. Friendship can be so comfortable, but nurture it -- don't take it for granted.”

Reach out to those who need you.
betty white
In an interview with Smithsonian Magazine, she revealed the reason why she responds to letters from complete strangers who lost a pet or loved one. "If they write to me about that loss, I can’t not respond, to give them a little word of comfort or sympathy or let them know I certainly understand," she said.

Be kind.
betty white
betty white home
White exudes warmth, which seems to be a rare quality in the world of show business (or perhaps business as a whole). She's spoken out on how kindness, in general, is in short supply. In an interview with The Chicago Tribune, White said: "We need to learn a little more kindness. Kindness is getting lost in the shuffle. I get appalled at what people are doing to people, the violence in our own communities. I'm worried about that -- and it has to change."

This Treehouse Wedding Is What Childhood Dreams Are Made Of

We know more than a few elementary schoolers who would give up their iPad privileges (for a week, let's be real) to get married in a treehouse.

Colorado couple Becca Bair and Brandon Spurgin were lucky enough to turn that childhood pipe dream into a reality when they tied the knot at TreeHouse Point in Fall City, Washington on October 5, 2014.

Due to size limitations, the couple couldn't actually recite their vows inside a treehouse, but they did spend the night in one. Their guests also had their own private treehouses for the evening.

Becca and Brandon's wedding was a small, personal affair with less than 30 guests.

"My brother got ordained and officiated the ceremony for us," Becca told HuffPost Weddings. "He delivered the most touching, hilarious, personal speech ever. Everyone was laugh-crying and it really set the mood for the whole day to follow."

The newlyweds met more than 10 years ago in a high school art class, after a teacher introduced them. He was a senior, she was a freshman at the time. The rest, as they say, is history.

8 Drugstore Beauty Buys Under 8 Bucks

Hello. My name is Lori, and I'm a beauty product junkie.

I've been known to flip out or obsess over a new lotion, soap or mascara that I try and think is great.

But I really flip out when I find a great product that is reasonably priced that I can pick up while buying milk and bananas.

Below are eight great products that you can find anywhere -- each under eight bucks.

ChapStick.

Just call me Suzy ChapStick because I am loving some of the new formulas this tride and true brand has come up with -- especially the two-in-one "Hydration Lock" formulas. And I especially love their sweet (but not too sweet) Cake Batter stick
THAT IS ONLY ONE DOLLAR.

2015-01-17-chapstick.JPG

Aussie 3-Minute Miracle.

A staple in my shower, I have been using this deep conditioner once or twice a week on and off since high school! It helps tame the frizz and is a great detangler. A miracle at under five bucks... we can all use that, right?

Revlon ColorStay Under Eye Concealer.
Conceals dark circles like nobody's business, this product is fantastic. With a soft sponge tip applicator and all day staying power, I can find this at my favorite store with a coupon for under 8 smackers.

Cetaphil.

The only thing I use to wash my face every night. I used to have terrible acne and have tried fancier, waaay more expensive products but always come back to this gentle, basic skin cleanser.

2015-01-16-Cetaphil.JPG

L'Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara.

I have been a fan of L'Oreal mascara forever, Lash Out and Voluminous both are old loves but now, I have a new favorite in Miss Manga. My lashes are pretty puny and this formula really plumps them up with the flexible brush. The shiny pink and black tube doesn't hurt either.

2015-01-17-MangaMascara.JPG

Poshe Topcoat.
This nail polish topcoat says it dries to the touch in one minute and it does not lie, leaving a super-shiny gel-like lacquer. Honestly -- this stuff makes me want to do my nails rather than pay for a salon manicure because it makes the whole thing so crazy quick and easy.

Aveeno Therapeutic Shave Gel.

I had always used whatever was cheapest as far as shaving cream went, until I discovered this moisturizing gel by Aveeno. I was surprised how much I liked the gel versus my usual cream, and love how smooth my legs feel afterwards. Initially I bought it because it was on sale, but at 4-something a can I've found a favorite.

Dove White Beauty Bar.

Just like Cetaphil for my face, it's Dove Soap for the rest of me, always and forever.

2015-01-17-Dovesoap.JPG

Sure... occasionally, I'll try other fancier/spendier products; a great ad/an impulse buy/pretty packaging are bound to get me -- but I always come home to the 8 buys above.

Especially my Cetaphil and my Dove -- I promise I'll never cheat on you two again.

Lori's blog, Once Upon a Product, is where she obsesses over beauty products, the '80s, and her Mick Jagger obsession. Her website, Drawn to the '80s, is where her 5 year old draws the music hits of the 1980's.

The street style at New York Fashion Week has nothin' on Pitti Uomo.

Photos from Italy's menswear trade show have been frequenting our Instagram feeds this week and we're completely lost for words. An endless flock of dapper men have been meandering the streets of Florence for the last four days to show off their expert style.

This year's swagger consisted of everything from double-breasted coats to perfectly tailored suits with coordinating pocket squares. We considered dropping a hint to our significant others, but even we wouldn't know where to start. These sartorial men are just dressed that well.

While we spent most of the week ogling over all the amazing dresses we saw at the Golden Globes, we are pretty sure that most of the jewels and gowns are a little out of our budget. But celebs don't always wear couture -- in fact, in the past couple of days, a number of A-listers have stepped out in affordable fashion.

Willow Smith rocked a pair of $50 denim shorts (which will be perfect come spring), while Taylor Swift's Free People white dress is the beach cover-up we have been looking for.

Check out the best cheap celeb finds of the week (and a throw back pic of Bey in a $30 ring that is still for sale!) and let us know which items you're coveting.

15 Things Michelle Obama Does That We Love But Sasha And Malia Probably Don't

If you ask us, Michelle Obama can do no wrong. Whether she's debuting another fabulous hairdo, wowing us with her keen sense of style or turning up on late night television, Michelle is more than just the first lady -- she's the first lady of cool.

But as anyone who has ever heard the words "YOUR MOM IS SO COOL" will tell you, things seem a teeny bit different when its your own mom. Even though we have no idea how Sasha and Malia actually feel about all the (wonderful) things their mom does, if being pre-teen and teenage girls has taught us anything, it's that you "don't want anything to do" with your parents during that time.

Having said that, while we know the girls love spending time with their mom, we think it's safe to assume they aren't as tickled with, say, her hilarious Vines as we are. In honor of our favorite first lady's 51st birthday, here are all the things we love about Michelle that may embarrass Sasha and Malia.

1. Kissing Barack.

2. Doting on Barack.

Jennifer Aniston: 'Almost Just As Good To Be No. 1 Snubbed Than To Be Nominated'

$
0
0
It would be naïve to assume that as a top celebrity in Hollywood, Jennifer Aniston could get any role she wanted. But the actress revealed Friday that she was drawn to play a mourning addict in the upcoming film “Cake” because she had her own doubts about herself. “I needed to do it so I could prove to myself that I was able to do it. So I wasn’t sitting there frustrated that I wasn’t getting certain parts because they knew something I didn’t know -- which was that I couldn’t do it,” Aniston told The Huffington Post Friday afternoon in Los Angeles.

Seated on a couch in a hotel suite at the Four Seasons, settled near the sunlight and in the path of a warm California breeze, it’s clear that Aniston is a pro. She has tirelessly promoted “Cake” ever since it premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in the fall (she is also an executive producer), attending as many screenings and Q&As as possible with the hopes of ushering the film into the Oscar race. It worked, until it didn't: Aniston's performance was overlooked when this year's nominations were announced on Thursday.

After hearing that so many were shocked and even outraged that she missed out on an Oscar nomination for "Cake," Aniston's eyes welled up momentarily -- not out of sadness, but actually of gratitude. “I was amazed at how many messages of ‘Shocked!’ ‘Fuck ‘em!’ and ‘Robbed!’ I got,” she said. “I found it quite endearing and flattering that I had so many people rooting for me. It was almost just as good to be No. 1 snubbed than to be nominated,” she laughed, wearing her famous hair blown straight with a low cut white collared shirt that revealed almost as much as her Critics' Choice Movie Awards look from the evening before (she even wore similarly layered necklaces). “Now I don’t have any pressure.”

jennifer aniston

It's this kind of attitude that has carried Aniston through a career that spans more than 20 years (she starred in 238 episodes of “Friends” over a 10-year period and has also been in nearly 40 films). And yet “Cake” is not her first turn at drama. She received both praise and admiration for 2002’s “The Good Girl” and has tried serious tones, successfully, in films like “The Break-Up” and “Derailed.”

But there is something different about “Cake.” “It’s something I hadn’t done before. To take on such a wonderfully layered, complex character,” Aniston said.

Referring to the support group she gets kicked out of for being so negative, the fistfuls of prescription painkillers she washes down with alcohol, the weight she gained, the massive scars along her face and the chronic physical pain her character endures every day, Aniston views Claire Bennett with great empathy.

“She’s dark because she’s stuck. She’s depressed and she’s in extreme pain, physically and emotionally,” she said.

The character she plays suffers the consequences of an unexplained accident that renders her practically unable to do anything for herself. (Her housekeeper, played by Adriana Barraza, is her closest ally.) But the biggest pain of the film is the loss of someone very close to her, which has left Claire paralyzed in mourning.

“She feels that if she gets unstuck and heals herself, gets off the drugs and the booze, goes to her physical therapy and gets better, she feels she will forget [that person]. She will forget her loss,” Aniston said.

cake

And yet it wasn’t the darkness of the role that worried Aniston the most. Or the lack of makeup. Or the weight gain. It was the drugs.

Being sure that the film accurately portrayed addiction was the biggest challenge, Aniston stated. “I sent it to a psychopharmacologist, a therapist and also someone who helps heal people with chronic pain,” she said.

“I wanted to understand what the effects of narcotics mixed with booze are when you’re in pain. Are you getting high? Is it numbing you? The opiates make you feel some euphoria, but what about when the drugs are lessening in your body? There is a physicality that comes along with that.”

As inspired as Aniston was by the role -- including the six weeks of preparation she did on her own -- and the willingness to try it with a less-seasoned director, Daniel Barnz, she doesn’t believe she could have done it any earlier in her career.

When asked if there is something particular about where she finds herself in her personal life or her career that made her want to do the film, she responded simply and without hesitation: “I have a level of ease right now in my life. I have an unbelievable partner who supports me and loves me and makes me feel like there’s nothing I cannot do,” she said, referring to fiancé Justin Theroux.

“There is something about having a partner who supports you that kind of allows you to have a real ‘fuck-it’ attitude. I gotta just go for everything, cause if I fall down on my face, I got my buddy right here to dust me off and say let’s keep going.”

jennifer aniston

But the keeping-on is taxing for stars in her position, particularly women. While plenty of publications, including the New York Times, have written about her performance in “Cake,” headlines are more often something like "Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie Avoid Red Carpet Run-In."

Just Thursday night in L.A., the two stars shared the red carpet at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards and apparently it was the first time this has happened since 2009.

“That stuff is getting better. She made such a beautiful movie,” Aniston said of the media coverage that often pits the two women against each other. “But they’re not focusing on why we are on the carpet together. They’re focusing on the catty bits and the drama, and there’s no drama.”

jennifer aniston

When asked how she remains sane in a industry where she is constantly being critiqued, one day on a "too thin" list and the next on a "she’s let herself go" round-up, Aniston considers it carefully.

“You don’t listen to it. Sometimes you’ll come across something by accident. But you have a core group of friends and family and everybody knows the truth and you know the truth,” she explained, referring to the cyclone of rumors in the media.

“So if you know the truth, but someone else is trying to tell you that you’re 6’9,” you’re like -- I’m not, I’m actually only just 5’5”. And they say no you’re a 6’9” Asian woman. And I say no! I’m actually not. What if someone said that to you? You’d laugh.”

Considering her Oscar "snub" and the heaviness of a movie like “Cake,” Aniston’s taking it in stride is either a product of her many years in the spotlight, or the result of a deeper relationship she seems to have cultivated with gratitude.

The first to compliment someone else’s performance, she made sure to note Oscar nominee Julianne Moore’s speech the night before at the Critics' Choice Awards and to mention her film “Still Alice.”

“People want to see human stories. We watch them because we have empathy and we learn and we have compassion for people,” Aniston said. “‘Still Alice’ is so beautiful. Julianne is extraordinary. It brought me to my knees.”

How To Talk About Your Workout Routine Without Making Everyone Else Feel Lazy

$
0
0
In the New Year, many of us go after this health and wellness thing in earnest. But since it's a new -- or at least not continuous -- pursuit for so many of us, it can be hard to know how to integrate our new regimes into our well-mannered lives. Enter Mind Your Manners, our just-in-January series on all things health and etiquette.

A friend who gets swept up in a new fitness routine is like a friend who is in the honeymoon stage of a relationship. They are SO SO happy, you guys, and just want to share every detail about the way they’ve been spending their free time. Their lives have changed -- and you’re their best audience.

We’ve all done it at some point (or at least know someone who has). In the ‘80s, it was aerobics. The ‘90s, yoga. The ‘00s were about novelty workouts that tried to distract you from working out. Now, it’s boutique studios -- and squats. So many squats.

While you should always be able to talk about your hobby with your pals, we’ve asked Faye de Muyshondt, author and founder of socialsklz:-) for SUCCESS, about navigating the unspoken rules of fitness talk.

How often can you talk about your new workout routine before you reach the "annoying" point?
A mention of a new workout routine is sufficient for starters. It's a great conversation starter and can open the door to further dialogue, but remember that if someone else is interested in the conversation, they'll ask further questions. If not, let it go. You said it, you shared it, but they're not interested in the conversation and take note. Think about things you don't like to talk about...it might be babies or ailments and then imagine someone talking at length about that topic.

Is it acceptable to substitute social interactions with workouts? (For example, a friend who wants you to go to their kickboxing class all the time instead of catching up over coffee or lunch.)
Of course it is, but as long as you know that the person you're asking is into kickboxing or spin class. It can be fun, but remember to be sensitive before inquiring. If you know this person isn't into workouts, don't ask. If there is already a shared interested, absolutely.

What do you say to the oddly competitive people who like to tell you that their workout is better than yours?
IGNORE and switch the subject! It's not worth the effort. Some of these workouts can become cult-like and ultimately a lot has to do with personal preference!

Is a "sweat selfie" ever OK?
Think about the end result. Put yourself in the viewers shoes AND take a moment to think about who your viewers are. If you saw my "sweat selfie" on Facebook, what would you think? Are you okay with someone else's mental image of you being a sweaty one? If yes, go for it!

What about posting progress shots on Instagram/Facebook/etc.?
Everything in moderation, right? So if you want to post a status update on your progress sporadically, fine, but moderation is key. Also, give some thought to what the progress shot is-your scale? A photo of you at the gym scantily clad? A simple photo of you (dressed) with a notable weight difference? Your abs? A rear shot? and also ask, is a photo really necessary? Before you post ask someone else's opinion.

What about the friends who are perpetually forwarding unsolicited workout "advice" or constantly repinning "fitspiration" on Pinterest?
The great thing about all of our social media outlets is that we can simply press "unfollow" and not have to be persistently faced with a barrage of advice and what not. Rather than commenting or questioning, IGNORE!

With 2015 in full swing, Kate Spencer had a great idea for this year's cultural touchstone: "I don't know about you guys but I'm ready for 2015 to be the year of the dick slip." We're totally in.

In other news, everyone is counting down the days until the release of the "Fifty Shades Of Grey" movie. Some are actually excited to see it, while others are simply confused: "These 50 Shades Of Grey ads make it look like the Olive Garden of Bondage," Lizz Winstead tweeted. Yea, we're not sure about those trailers either. (But we're still going to see it, obviously.)

Black and brown mascaras typically fill our makeup bags, but that will no longer be the case after seeing Camilla Belle's purple-tinged eyelashes.

Her hazel eyes appear brighter thanks to the subtle strokes of purple falsies attached to her outer lashes. And with her overall peachy-bronze makeup look, it was an unexpected surprise.

Check out Belle's beautiful lashes below and see which other stars made this week's best and worst beauty list.

BEST: Camilla Belle

camilla belle

Belle's sophisticated updo and fresh-faced makeup are absolutely perfect with those dangling earrings.

BEST: Kristen Stewart

kristen stewart

We never thought we'd say this, but we can stare into Kristen Stewart's eyes forever. The "Twilight" star has really started to experiment more with beauty and this cobalt smokey eye is one of our favorite looks so far. Not to mention, those side-swept bangs frame her face perfectly.

BEST: Ruth Wilson

ruth wilson

Yet another eye makeup look that we're loving! Wilson's shimmering lime green lids and berry pink lips add a modern touch to her retro-inspired wavy hairstyle.

BEST: Aja Naomi King

aja naomi king

We can't wait until "How to Get Away with Murder" returns to TV. But that hasn't stopped this rising star from serving some stunning red carpet looks, including this loose curls and red-orange lips combo.

WORST: Thora Birch

thora birch

No, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. That's Thora Birch with a hair and makeup look that ages the 32-year-old way beyond her years. Her brassy blonde locks fall limp against her shoulders and that aubergine eyeshadow makes Birch look tired.

WORST: Lena Dunham

lena dunham

Dear Lena, we know you probably could care less about what we think about your red carpet beauty. But we just wish you'd replicate the looks you wear when posing for magazine covers.

WORST: Ally Brooke

ally brooke

The Fifth Harmony band member's lackluster locks, heavy foundation, pale lipstick and half filled-in eyebrows do absolutely nothing for her naturally gorgeous features. Lighter makeup (and a deep conditioner) could really go a long way.

WORST: Brave Williams

brave williams

Williams' bubblegum pink lipstick and dated eyeshadow reminds us a lot of what Nicki Minaj looked like before her latest makeover. We've said it before and we'll say it again: less is more.

Hollywood Showed Off Some Pretty Awesome Shoes This Week

If you haven't already caught on, we're pretty obsessed with accessories here at HuffPost Style. And we mean accessories In all forms -- sparkly men's loafers, fancy barrettes, patterned tights -- you name it, we love it.

This week, some of Hollywood's biggest stars showed off some excellent accessorizing. Sienna Miller paired a striped outfit with chic, colorful heels, while Alexa Chung dressed up a basic denim dress with sophisticated sparkly tights. Check out the best accessories of the week below!

Sienna Miller's heels

sienna

We're not sure what Sienna Miller has been drinking lately, but we'd like to take a sip -- she looks fantastic! While we adore her mis-matched striped ensemble, it's those shoes that are really sealing the deal for us. Going for a pair of tri-colored heels could have been a faux-pas, but since they are in the same color palette as the rest of her outfit, it's a total home run.

Jenny Slate's belt

jenny

There is nothing funny about this comedian's outfit. In fact, it might be one of our favorites of the week. And what takes it from good to great is that blue and black belt that defines her waist.

Keira Knightley's Henri Bendel’s Constellation bobby pin

k

It's rare that you see hair accessories on the red carpet, but we love the delicate bobby pins Knightley is wearing -- they really glam up her look.

Alexa Chung's tights

a

Everyone is going gah-gah for Alexa Chung's new denim collaboration with AG, but we can't get enough of the sparkly tights she was wearing at the launch party. Such a nice change from the opaque black ones we've been seeing everywhere.

Jared Leto's Swarovski-embellished Louis Leeman loafers

It's rare we put a guy on this list, but this week, Leto deserves a shout out. Men don't have as much room as women to take fashion risks (most red carpet events require a suit) but the actor's shoes are some of the best we have seen. Not only do they put a little kick in his step, but they also make us smile.

For those of you who had doubts, wearing grey on grey is totally doable.

In fact, variations of the monochromatic look have been popping up on fashion blogs and Instagram accounts all winter season. Now, matching our blacks is something we don't care to mess around with, but head-to-toe grey is a different story. Enter the color spectrum: With 50 shades of grey -- yes, we went there -- it is easy to accomplish a minimalist look without appearing utterly dull and dreary. The key? Simplicity.

Step up your grey game and scroll down for some inspiration!

7 Things We Love About Kevin Costner On His 60th

Actor Kevin Costner turns 60 today, and let's just say it out loud: He's one fine dude. Here are seven reasons we admire him:

1. He was the real star of "The Big Chill," even if we didn't see him.
Costner played the character Alex, around whose funeral the 30-somethings gather for the weekend. Unfortunately for Costner, all his scenes were cut from the final movie. His career, of course, didn't die on the cutting room floor. He went on to win two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and one Emmy. Not bad for a corpse, we'd say.

2. He moved past "Waterworld" (1995) and "The Postman" (1997).
Both were financial disappointments and pretty much got dissed by everyone. But the point is, he survived the scathing reviews, the ribbing on Saturday Night Live, and moved on. He inspires us with his resiliency -- and apparently we are not alone. He has two films on the American Film Institute's 100 Most Inspiring Movies of All Time list -- "Dances with Wolves" (1990) and "Field of Dreams (1989)."

3. He doesn't just act and direct -- he's also a country music crooner.
Costner sings in a country rock band he formed called Kevin Costner & Modern West. They did a world tour in 2007 that included shows in Istanbul and Rome and released an album in 2008 called "Untold Truths."

4. He loves baseball.
Costner has made multiple movies with a baseball theme and we've loved them all: "Chasing Dreams," "Bull Durham," "Field of Dreams," "For Love of the Game" and "The Upside of Anger," where he plays a former pro-ball player. Costner has a house in Austin and sometimes shows up at Texas Longhorns baseball practices and games.

5. He loves Westerns.
And since John Wayne is gone, who else even tries to make one anymore?

6. He has perfected the scruffy beard look.
While others have tried, nobody but nobody in our book wears a 5 o'clock shadow the way Costner does. He has elevated it to an art form.

7. By all accounts, he's a good dad.
While we aren't one of his seven children, we do like how he talked about his kids and fatherhood when we caught up with him.
