Jennifer Garner Steps Out Solo On The Oscars Red Carpet ... And Kills It

Jennifer Garner is back ... in black.

Yes, that was an "Alias" reference for those who remember the star's infamous entrance in the series' post Super Bowl episode.

After spending months out of the public eye, Garner has returned in a big way this week, first with a candid profile in Vanity Fair and now with a major moment on the Oscars red carpet.

"The Dallas Buyers Club" actress, who supported her estranged husband Ben Affleck when "Argo" took home the award for Best Picture in 2013, stepped out solo for the 88th annual Academy Awards and, heads up, she's never looked better.

This is the first major event Garner has attended since the debut of her Vanity Fair interview, in which she broke her silence on her much-discussed separation from Affleck in June of last year.

“It was a real marriage,” Garner told the magazine. “It wasn’t for the cameras. And it was a huge priority for me to stay in it. And that did not work.”

"[Ben's] the most brilliant person in any room, the most charismatic, the most generous," she added.  "He’s just a complicated guy. I always say, ‘When his sun shines on you, you feel it.’ But when the sun is shining elsewhere, it’s cold. He can cast quite a shadow."

If this red carpet appearance is any indication, Garner's found her own sun. You know her "person" channeled Cristina Yang before the show like ...

What is it, Kate Winslet's millionth time at the Oscars? On Sunday night she even posed with none other than Jack Leonardo DiCaprio.

Keeping to her signature silhouette, Winslet wears a custom Ralph Lauren dress that fits her figure like a glove. One departure from her typical style is the train, which is something we've already seen tonight. The actress complements her entire aesthetic with beachy waves and dripping jewels.

Winslet is nominated for Best Actress In A Supporting Role for her work in "Steve Jobs."

Who's That Woman Dressed Like Bowie At The Oscars? Introducing, Sandy Powell.

The David Bowie style tributes sprinkled throughout this awards season culminated in one epic moment at the Oscars on Sunday night, courtesy of someone you might never have heard of.

Costume designer Sandy Powell arrived on the red carpet fully decked out in a green metallic suit and slicked back, bright red hair that undeniably resembled Bowie.

Viewers were quick to point out the similarities to the beloved artist on social media, but some pointed out she also resembled someone a bit ... funnier.

Powell, who is nominated for her work on "Carol," has shared quite a few photo tributes to Bowie on her own Instagram page, so the nod, including her signature, fiery red hair, is even that much more fitting.

Work, girl.

Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney arrived at the 2016 Oscars looking classic in black and white looks.

The couple, who got engaged last February, looked great as they walked the red carpet outside the Dolby Theatre Sunday night.

Gaga opted for a bridal white jumpsuit-gown hybrid, which featured wide-leg pants and a partial full skirt. It also had a sweetheart neckline complete with sculptural details. Kinney kept things classic in a black tux with matching black bow tie. Together, they looked like the picture of old Hollywood glamour.

Gaga is set to perform the Oscar-nominated song "'Til It Happens To You" during Sunday night's ceremony. The tune, which she co-wrote with Diane Warren, is up for the Best Original Song.

She definitely looks ready to win.

Just when you thought Charlize Theron couldn't top herself, she does, and she did on tonight's Oscars red carpet

Her statuesque frame is draped in a fiery red Dior gown, with a combination of a deep plunge and slinky straps that actually works! Honestly, there's nothing else to say other than she looks amazing and although she's not nominated, she's still a #winner.

Someone Confused Whoopi Goldberg For Oprah At The Oscars

Someone's in trouble tonight.

Beauty site Total Beauty mistakenly identified Whoopi Goldberg as Oprah in a mortifying Twitter gaffe during the Oscars red carpet on Sunday night.

The tweet, captured below by Marc Love before it was deleted, had over 2,000 retweets and 1,000 favorites.

The Twittersphere quickly made the most of the embarrassing mix-up:

Total Beauty stopped tweeting for some time after the mix-up, presumably to brainstorm the right apology:

Leonardo DiCaprio, always one of the sharpest guys at the party, clearly didn't look nervous at the Oscars -- the year he actually stands a chance to win, finally -- with this classic look by Armani.

"The Revenant" star (turned Native American activist) is up for Best Actor In A Leading Role and stole the red carpet as he posed like the statue he deserves to win in his black, textured, two-button peak lapel tux by Armani Made to Measure.

Jennifer Lawrence brought her A-game to the Oscars red carpet Sunday night, stepping out in a lacy black dress by Dior just minutes before the show commenced. The actress paired the look with a subtle beauty look and minimal jewelry to let the gorgeous dress speak for itself.

The fan-favorite is nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in "Joy." The category is stacked with heavy-hitters like Cate Blanchett and Brie Larson, but JLaw certainly looks like she came to win tonight.

Leonardo DiCaprio And Kate Winslet Had 'Titanic' Reunion At Oscars

On Dec. 19, 1997, at the movie premiere of "Titanic," a crowd saw Leonardo DiCaprio let go of a raft into icy cold water to his presumed death, leaving Kate Winslet all alone to float in the north Atlantic Ocean.

Ever since that moment, nobody has known what happened to DiCaprio, but the world finally has an answer. He survived!

DiCaprio and Winslet happened to appear at the 2016 Oscars in Hollywood, California, where they presumably had quite a bit to catch up on.

Lucky photographers got to witness this "Titanic" reunion.

The two clearly still had chemistry from their seafaring/sea-sinking days.

Get a boat, you two.

It is entirely unclear why these two former lovers were at the Oscars.

Does anybody know what DiCaprio has been up to since he slipped into the water?

Here's a video of the encounter:

Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Look So In Love At Vanity Fair Oscars Party

Despite some questionable breakup rumors, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are still going strong.

And what better way to show the world than by making their official red carpet debut? The couple, who began dating last year, attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party on Sunday night, quashing rumors and looking oh-so-happily in love.

The No Doubt frontwoman arrived wearing a show-stopping sheer red Yanina Couture gown with strategically placed layered appliqués. It was definitely giving off some Katniss Everdeen, girl-on-fire vibes. She kept her blond locks down with a few loose glamour waves framing her face, and wore her signature red lip. Shelton kept things simple in jeans, a black suit jacket and a black shirt, letting his partner's outfit truly shine. (Although seeing Shelton in a tuxedo would've been a treat, right?)

Throughout the night, Stefani and Shelton hung out with fellow celebrity couples Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, as well as Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama. Most glam date night ever?

If you've got a "Blank Space" at an Oscars after-party, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Lorde will drop their names.

The three girls were the very definition of #squadgoals on Sunday night, rolling up to the Vanity Fair Oscars party in style

Swift wore a black gown with a plunging neckline and a thigh-high slit, paired with gold stilettos, a gold clutch and a gold choker. The "Out of the Woods" singer ditched that red lip, classic thing that we like for a lighter shade and a smoky eye, drawing attention to her sleek bob and bangs.

Swift also posed with her friend and fellow singer Lorde before the party. Lorde wore an interesting dress with a jeweled bodice that flared out into a tulle skirt.

The "Royals" singer wore her hair wavy and accessorized with a black clutch and a fierce stare for the photographers.

Of course, Selena Gomez -- Swift's hot date for the Grammys -- also showed up to the party in a sleek, silver gown, sporting a bold, smoky eye and straight locks.

Gomez was later spotted in a Snapchat with Oscar-winner and mom-to-be Anne Hathaway.

We're sure the rest of the #squad had a great time inside.

Yes, Bono has a daughter (actually, he has two, and two sons) and she totally stole the spotlight at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party on Sunday night.

Actress Eve Hewson stunned in a plunging off-white gown that hugged every curve as she celebrated the evening's winners and fellow nominees.

The 24-year-old is used to having a famous father, and her on-screen dads aren't any less well-known. Hewson starred as Tom Hanks' daughter in "Bridge of Spies," which was one of the films nominated on Sunday for Best Picture.

The gorgeous brunette is slowly but surely making her mark on Hollywood. She's currently starring on the critically acclaimed series "The Knick" and can next be seen on the big screen opposite Jamie Foxx in "Robin Hood: Origins."

The actress previously attended the VF Oscars party in 2013, with her dad as her date:

How Brie Larson Won The Oscars TWICE

"Room" star Brie Larson was the big winner on Sunday night -- and in more ways than one. Yes, she did win the Oscar for Best Actress, but she also won the after party.

Larson owned the red carpet carpet early in the night in an embellished Gucci gown, but slipped into something much more comfortable for the Vanity Fair after party -- namely a pair of Converse sneakers.

Given that it's common knowledge that high heels are bad for your body -- they can lead to back pain, plantar fasciitis and muscle spasms -- you would think that more stars would opt for flats, but that doesn't seem to be the case. So on Oscars Sunday, when Larson kicked off her heels and slipped into some sensible Chuck Taylors, her feet truly won the night. Looks like we found reason No. 345 to fall in love with Ms. Larson.

Ballet Is Probably Our Choice Mode Of Viewing Male Heroism

You might not immediately associate unbridled and passionate male heroism with ballet. But then again, you probably haven't seen legendary choreographer Yuri Grigorovich's "Spartacus."

The work is loosely based on the ancient tale of a gladiator who led a slave revolt against Roman commander Crassus. You're likely familiar with Stanley Kubrick's film version starring Kirk Douglas, or, at the very least, its brief cameo in "Clueless."

But imagine the gold-clad gladiators expressing their aggression through passionate and graceful movements that require almost Olympic levels of training. Embodying the roles is just an additional hurdle.

"You have to completely submerge yourself into the character," principal dancer Denis Rodkin says in the video below. "When we go out on stage, the artist immediately becomes naked."

Between the physical stamina and the emotional intensity demanded to execute the piece, for dancers, it's the performance of a lifetime. As Rodkin put it: "It’s possible that working on this role would require my entire ballet career."

Since it's 1968 debut, "Spartacus," with music by Aram Khachaturian, has become one of the Bolshoi Ballet's most iconic productions. And lucky for those of outside of Russia, the mesmerizing experience is coming to over 500 cinema screens worldwide on March 13, 2016.

Beauty Editors Share The First Product They Ever Used

When I tell people that I work in beauty, the first question they always ask me is: "What products are you loving?" That answer changes depending on the week, simply because of the sheer volume of loot I get to test. (For the record, right now it's a certain retinol oil and the latest mascara from Nars. Tomorrow it might be different.)

But recently, someone asked me a more interesting question: "What was the first beauty product you ever used?" I recalled the moment immediately -- and I wondered whether that first swipe of eyeliner set in motion the series of events that eventually led me to being a beauty editor today.

So, with that in mind, I polled a few beauty editors in the industry to see which product they first recall trying. The results range from the nostalgic to the cringe-inducing -- and what could be better than that? Click through to find out how we broke into beauty, and then share your own first memories with us below.

"Easy: St. Ives Apricot Scrub. There were definitely other products that came before (my mother is something of a beauty buff), but St. Ives was the first product that became a cult classic from its humble beginnings in my childhood bathroom. My older sister and I had the peach-colored tub -- way before they launched the much fancier tube -- and with its fruity aroma and gritty texture, the exfoliator was the closest thing we got to a spa treatment in the suburbs of Philadelphia." -- Celia Ellenberg, Beauty Director of Vogue

"In the '90s, I needed Hard Candy nail polish in Sky. While rainbow colors are a beauty standard these days, it was considered edgy and trend-forward back then. I rocked that powder-blue lacquer and the matching ring to my middle school classes and felt totally cool. Last year, Hard Candy brought back limited-edition collectables of Sky and the other popular colors (such as Mint and Scam), so I know I'm not alone in my lust for the past." -- Lauren Levinson, Senior Beauty Editor of Popsugar Beauty

"Since my parents put me in dance classes growing up, I wore makeup early on for performances. But the first piece of makeup I ever wore for myself was black eyeliner -- specifically this one from CoverGirl. In the seventh grade, my friend pulled it out of her bag on the bus to school and lined my lower waterline with it. And that was the whole look. No mascara, no eyeshadow, no liner on the upper lid. Just a thin black line along my lower waterline. After school I told my mom, and she happily took me to the drugstore to buy my own. The lower-liner look was mine until I discovered mascara, lipstick, and concealer a year later." -- Maria Del Russo, Beauty Editor of Refinery29

"My mom always taught me that a great lipstick color can totally change your mood. I remember we used to go to the Bobbi Brown counter at Neiman Marcus in Dallas and I'd help her pick out her next go-to shade. One day, when I was about 11 or 12, she let me pick out a color. I fell in love with an iridescent, almost holographic purple shade that made me feel like a mermaid.

I was loyal to that gloss for many years. I wore it to school, on the bar and bat mitzvah circuit, and even at home when I wanted to feel glamorous. Even though I've since graduated to lipstick, Bobbi's sparkly lip glosses are still some of my favorites. " -- Emily Gaynor, Digital Beauty Editor of Teen Vogue

"The first beauty product I ever used was my Hello Kitty sparkly pink nail polish -- I was obsessed with it. I remember being at my grandma's house when I was little and she'd paint her nails with Revlon's clear coat and then paint mine this pretty pink shade. I loved going to her house and doing nails and we still do it to this day. She's 94!" -- Carly Cardellino, Senior Beauty Editor of Cosmopolitan.com

You'll Never Guess How Much Lady Gaga's Oscars Earrings Cost

Lady Gaga delivered a dazzling performance on Oscars night ... but maybe her jewelry should've made the news, too.

The singer wore a pair of diamond earrings worth $8 million onto the red carpet, a spokesperson for designer Lorraine Schwartz told HuffPost.

Really, Gaga?! That's pretty much an island vacation home on each lobe:

The 90-carat, emerald-cut diamond earrings were borrowed from Schwartz, who also made Gaga's heart-shaped diamond engagement ring.

Meanwhile, former Miss World Priyanka Chopra wore Lorraine Schwartz earrings worth $3.2 million.

Even though she wore some pretty unattainable jewelry, she still made us all feel like she could be our best friend when she belted out an incredibly candid Oscars performance Sunday night that made us feel all the feels.

Hey, when you deliver the performance of a lifetime, you can pretty much sport anything you want.

Justin Bieber's Hair Evolution, In One Amazing GIF

Justin Bieber's hair was literally a trending topic before that became a thing. Yet he's come a long way since his teeny-bop lyrics and side-swept bangs.

After ditching his famous signature hairdo back in 2011, the Canadian-born singer has worn a number of styles, including undercuts, pompadours and even bobs. Bieber has also proven that he isn't afraid to experiment with non-traditional hair colors, which may or may not be influenced by a certain leading lady in his life.

Whether Bieber really does want to change "just a bit" or it's a ploy to become a permanent fixture on the Instagram "Explore" page, there's absolutely no need for him to say "sorry."

So in honor of Bieber's 22nd birthday on March 1, we're celebrating with a GIF to revel in all of his major hair moments (so far).
