The athleisure trend has been seen on celebs like Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid for months now -- but how can you pull off this look? Here are six easy steps to try the look yourself.

1. Start with the basics. I like this white racerback tank and black yoga pants from Forever 21.

2016-03-07-1457360960-6446372-HappilyAudrey_Athleisure_AudreyAdairKeene_6.jpg

2. Swap a gym bag for a tote. I recommend using a cute tote bag to double as your gym bag and purse for the day like this 'Talk Is Chic' tote from Rosanna.

3. Skip your actual workout shoes in favor of classic white sneakers. A trend on their own, the white sneaker isn't going anywhere and is a great investment for your street style wardrobe. I'm loving these Stan Smith's from Adidas.

4. Add a denim jacket. Do a half tuck on your tee before adding a denim jacket to provide dimension to the look. While I opted for denim, you can also rock a flannel, leather jacket or sweater to add an extra layer to your look.

5. Take care of your hair. I like to style mine before heading to my workout and securing it in place with a slightly loose headband. This helps prevent any kinks from developing. Make sure to pack hairspray or dry shampoo with you to the gym to help correct any fly aways.

6. Pile on the accessories! It ties the look together and you'll be ready to take on your day!

4 Tips For Being Stylish And Fashionable After 50

Turning the big "50"

I was dreading this milestone birthday just a little bit. I am happy to report my teeth and hair didn't all fall out, and I'm still very much alive and kicking!! The worst of it was ... receiving an application from my friends at AARP to sign up! I am thankful for the gift of life, amazing family and friends.

There are many celebrities who are rocking the fashion scene after 50, such as Jane Fonda, Cher, Madonna, and Tilda Swinton to name a few. They say with experience comes expertise.

Here are some ways to own a look into your 50s and beyond.

1) Create a flawless skin tone: Use a brightening foundation all over your face and blend with your fingers. The heat from your hands allows the makeup to melt into the skin and leaves a natural looking finish.

2016-03-02-1456930376-4215681-fashiongirlmakeuppaintlarge.jpg

2)Blur the lip lines: Red-hued lipsticks create instant drama and a youthful look. To keep the lips from looking harsh, apply color straight from the tube, then gently swipe cotton around the borders of your lips. This will pick up the extra color and soften the edges of your smoochers!

2016-03-02-1456930569-134905-loveheartmakeupbeautymedium.jpg

3)Experiment with prints: A dress with a classic cut may be flattering to your shape, but most likely won't have the "wow" factor. To achieve this, choose one with a "can't miss it" pattern. Prints of this type bring a youthful edge.

4) Keep accessories to a minimum: You may want to add to the fun spirit of the dress with showy-type shoes, but classic dark pumps are the way to go. A pointy pump will be sure to make you feel put together and polished. For jewelry, keep it simple with one piece. Too many jewels adds competition to the outfit. Skipping it altogether is just fine too.

Whatever your style is, embrace it and feel great! I know not everyone is obsessed with fashion like I am. However, I'm a firm believer that taking time to look your best boosts your confidence and makes you feel positive about life in general. I was blessed to go to a fashion trade show in Vegas for my birthday with a dear friend who also turned 50 a few months before I did. We had a blast and I learned a lot!

Staying Fit:

Keeping in shape at middle age is definitely an uphill struggle and takes a LOT of hard work. Of course gravity takes its toll in all kinds of ways :) but exercising regularly helps greatly! With a busy schedule it's hard for us to squeeze in time, but a few minutes here and there can make a huge difference. I walk at the park three times a week for an hour, and do resistance training at the gym four times a week. A new chain, "Fitness Evolution," is very inexpensive to join. It costs $9.99 a month and a small yearly maintenance fee. I love it and hope you have one nearby, or something similar!

Age really is just a number! Celebrate the beautiful person you are and always be comfy in your own skin. What are your fitness goals, or things you are doing to feel fabulous? I'd love to hear your ideas.

Locally Made And Globally Sourced, Cienne Found The Perfect Business Model

Frustrated with her corporate fashion job in New York, Nicole Heim decided to leave the city and travel to East Africa. Working for a charity and traveling to remote villages, Heim witnessed a couple as they prepped and wove textiles, using age-old techniques. After years of witnessing mass production, the hand-woven process inspired her to start her own clothing line, Cienne, using those very same techniques

Locally made (in New York City) and globally sourced, Cienne offers garments made using textiles from artisans around the world. Heim gets handwoven alpaca from Peru, block-printed silk from India and clean crepe from Japan, and brings it all back to NYC where her garments are made.

In this day and age, when so few clothing brands are actually made locally, we knew we had to chat with Heim to find out about her business model and to hear her advice to other aspiring designers. Here's what we learned:

On the biggest barriers to locally made, globally sourced businesses:

"The biggest barriers are cost, long lead times and quality control. New York manufacturing is notoriously expensive and the way we try to offset this cost, and the higher cost of handmade fabrics, is by selling direct-to-consumer through our website, trunk shows, and events.

"We manage long lead times by diversifying the workload amongst various mills and artisan groups based on their capabilities. The handmade, special textiles are usually limited edition and made in limited quantities, whereas the fabrics that come from modern mills will be run in larger batches and more frequently.

"As for quality control, there are a lot of inconsistencies with the handmade fabrics. However, we strive to be accommodating and resourceful as the imperfections are also what make the fabrics so beautiful. The real trick is in the New York manufacturing. Many of the issues would be difficult to overcome if we weren’t located in the same city as our factory, or if we didn’t have the same quality standards."

On how she finds artisans from other continents:

"A lot of research and scouring. In some cases, I’ve been on the ground and personally found the artisans, in other cases we work with partners or mills that have been introduced to us or that we’ve found on our own here in New York."

On the unique artisans she meets:

"There is a man in Ethiopia named Tariku [who] used to be a weaver and is now a security guard at the facility where the weavers work in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He is a highly respected family man, and still spins cotton on an age-old hand loom in between his duties as a security guard. In Ethiopia, the tradition of textile weaving holds a lot of cultural significance. It’s a highly skilled art form that has been passed down from father to son for centuries."

On her advice to other designers:

"For people who are looking to explore the world of handmade materials, I think the most important thing is to educate yourself on the process. I love learning about new (or old) ways of making things, but it isn’t always easy, so it’s important that we understand the variables on the other side. As for local manufacturing, it’s hard to suggest ways around the sheer cost of it, but there are pros and cons to every situation. If you manufacture overseas, the cost may be less expensive but you have less control and are producing in much larger volumes."

Go Ahead, Wear Your Pajama Top In Public

Pajama dressing constantly comes in and out of fashion. And we have to say, we always welcome the trend with open arms because anything that allows us to wear our jammies in public is OK by us.

While this fad may appear difficult to wear and even more difficult to style, it isn't. You can treat your pajama-inspired top like any old silk blouse. Pair it with a pair of jeans, a pencil skirt and even a blazer and it will give you an effortless look.

We more than encourage you to wear the silk pajama tops you already own in public (barring any stains or holes), but you can also shop some new picks below if you're keen on changing out of your PJs in the morning! (Some of these are actually pajamas, and some are not.)

Sexiest woman alive Dame Helen Mirren strikes again.

The 70-year-old arrived at "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" in New York Tuesday wearing a little black dress nearly as timeless as she is. She paired the dress with an electric blue purse and some serious stunner shades.

One the show, the "royal MILF" took her LBD right up to host Colbert and planted one very sexy kiss hello on him ("If I didn't do it then, I'd never get to do it," she joked afterward). Naturally, Colbert was left speechless and wiping the sweat from his brow.

Mirren is amazing in just about anything she puts on, but her latest outfit proves that simple can be just as stylish. Of course, looking like Helen Mirren, whom Colbert called "a captivating woman on a level I never imagined before," certainly helps.

The Beginning of a Change: Real Women, Real Stories (A Shocking Miniseries You Can't Ignore)

$

I for one believe that women are equal to men. At home in Israel, that makes me a rare breed. My friends consider women an object of pleasure.

Many guys think they can't marry a really educated woman because it will be like having two men in the house. It's a fear for them. They just want someone they can control. I find it very disturbing and even primitive, and I wanted to tackle this by elevating women's voices. I was thinking how could I put a spotlight on a rare, untold glimpse into real hardships women are facing.

After working in the fashion industry as a modeling agent for nearly seven years, I became disillusioned. There was a clear lack of regulation in many aspects of the industry, leading to the exploitation of many young and vulnerable models, while women working in garment factories to make the clothes these models wore were likewise being underpaid and mistreated. From a moral point of view, I also felt there was a conflict between my role as a modeling agent and my role as an ambassador for the National Eating Disorders Association. It didn't happen overnight - it took me some time to consider how to move forward - but eventually I have decided to quit and devote my life for women's rights.

2016-03-09-1457534817-4903822-ZuzannaBuchwald.png

The original plan was to make a film for another project, but after hours of watching the initial footage it became clear that I could not stop there -- I have to do something much larger and deeper. I did not see men standing up on women's issues in a really creative way -- and not just standing up, but standing alongside women on many issues. So I have decided to abandon the other project and create "Real Women, Real Stories". I wanted to create something special and decided to establish a project of embracing those who are silent in their pain but want to speak out. And so I did it.

"Real Women, Real Stories" miniseries film project, though, was by no means the most obvious way to combat issues like rape, subjugation, gender discrimination. Even the project's name itself is controversial, embracing a phrase that might play to various wrong impressions. However, what matters for me the most is to bring to light these issues and injustices with the hope that our project will help galvanize the masses to demand change.

The "Real Women, Real Stories" miniseries debuted on March 8, International Women's Day. Each episode focuses on a woman who has overcome subjugation and stigmatization in her given profession. While the first season's installments focus on overcoming verbal and sexual abuse and eating disorders in the entertainment and fashion industries, I also plan to cover women in politics, journalism, and other industries.

The project at its core is an experience. It is a learning spectacle. I am keen to elicit a reaction out of people by bringing together capturing stories in a way they've never seen, and continue doing more seasons in order to address negative stereotypes that hold women back. I find progressive conversations about women extremely paramount and I really believe that in fact, through "Real Women, Real Stories", women's voices will become so loud that they cannot be ignored. This is the beginning of a significant change.

2016-03-09-1457534916-8711897-10394546_1276599045690295_9138919709583018797_n.png

Men must take a stand in this fight because we created inequality. We must support and encourage women to begin to speak up and speak out about the destructive impact women's issues have on themselves, their families, and our communities. We have to work hard on education.

The internet is a sea of journalists writing about Kardashian's latest outfits but few people talk about the realities. It is frustrating. I am tired as millions of people are from the same stories on the usual corporate channels, the same tired homogeneous, fluff analysis about who wears what and why. Is this what we want, to live in a world that has become far too superficial and unrealistic? I think it can be changed. It must be changed, and it must be changed, today.

It is important to say, that despite the obstacles that they have faced, the women featured in our miniseries are not victims; they are heroines. Each woman given the opportunity to tell her own story. And each woman uses her time to reiterate her strength, determination, and while they inhabit worlds where young girls are still commodified, abused and silenced, they have faith in a change.

This is the emergency and the opportunity of today, and you are our chance to embrace more women. You can learn more about "Real Women, Real Stories" here.

What Exactly Is Witch Hazel, And Is It Safe To Use On Your Skin?

"Beauty Glossary" is a HuffPost series that breaks down beauty products, techniques, treatments and ingredients so you know exactly what you're putting onto and into your body.

A few HuffPost Lifestyle editors keep a bottle of witch hazel in our medicine cabinets, but we have to admit we're not quite sure how to use it. This clear liquid has been touted as a natural remedy that can treat bug bites and fix puffy eyes. We've watched close friends use witch hazel to remove their makeup or mix it with a bit of aloe vera gel to soothe painful sunburns. But is this all a bunch of hype?

Witch hazel is a plant-based topical ingredient often extracted through steam distillation from the bark and leaves of the witchhazel plant, according to Dennis Gross, a New York City-based dermatologist and founder of 900 Fifth Dermatology.

"It's one of nature's oldest, and continues to be one of the most effective, beauty ingredients," says Gross. "Witch hazel extract is a natural toner with anti-irritant properties. The most common use is to remove excess oil deposits in the skin and to clean pores by dissolving any debris." Hence, the immediate results of a glowing, smoother complexion.

Joyce Park, a dermatology resident at New York University Medical Center, says that witch hazel's astringent properties cause constriction of body tissues and blood vessels. "This can help under the eyes to reduce puffiness and can tighten pores and reduce breakouts in acne- or rosacea-prone patients," she explains. The anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects of witch hazel also help soothe irritated skin, making it great for post-shaving.

The most traditional use for this timeless beauty product is as a toner to restore the pH balance after face washing. But to prevent your skin from drying out or becoming irritated, both dermatologists recommend using witch hazel that comes in an oily vehicle and is alcohol free. Gross adds, "It's important to remember that any type of over-cleansing puts people at risk for the hazards of over-drying the skin, including breakouts. Anyone with a facial rash should also avoid usage and consult their doctor."

"Also, since our skin tends to become much drier during the winter months, you can consider switching to a different toner that doesn't have drying ingredients for this season. Witchhazel is better suited towards oily, acne-prone skin types," says Park.

Remember these three steps when using witch hazel:

1. Wash your face prior to using this product. Gross points out that this crucial step in your skincare routine sets you up to use other products and more powerful ingredients effectively.

2. Always, always, always use alcohol-free witch hazel! You don't want to exacerbate dryness or irritation.

3. Apply a moisturizer, serum and eye cream afterwards. Parks says this is especially key to retain moisture overnight.

This Might Be Kendall Jenner's Tiniest Top Yet

Kendall Jenner wears some seriously revealing outfits both on and off the catwalk, but her most recent look just might be her teeniest, tiniest top yet.

The supermodel was spotted out in Paris Tuesday night in all-black everything:  high-waisted pants, a fur purse, a bomber jacket and a shirt that could pass for a censor bar.

It makes her best friend Gigi Hadid's version look like a turtleneck:

Jenner has worn a slew of elaborate get-ups over the course of fashion month, so maybe it makes sense that on her time off she opted to wear as little as humanly possible.

Or, perhaps she took a cue from this photo shared by big sister Kim earlier in the week?

When you're like I have nothing to wear LOL

A photo posted by Kim Kardashian West (@kimkardashian) on

Either way, if anyone is going to pull off this look, It's Jenner.

'Normal Barbie' Creator Introduces New 'Normal Ken' Doll

$

Two years ago, Nickolay Lamm launched Lammily dolls aka "Normal" Barbies to combat the unrealistic beauty standards girls face from a young age. Since then, the realistically-proportioned doll line has expanded with empowering marketing campaigns, educational accessories and pamphlets about menstruation and add-on sticker packs that let kids give their dolls acne, stretch marks mosquito bites and more.

Wednesday morning, the toy creator unveiled a new addition to the Lammily doll family -- a male doll with a more realistically proportioned body. Think: "Normal Ken."

"I feel men also feel pressure in the form of not being tall, not having enough hair, not having enough muscle, etc.," Lamm told The Huffington Post. "I think those are things which few talk about because, as a guy, you're kind of expected not to worry too much about your appearance and because women face beauty standards on another level."

The "boy Lammily" doll will serve as an alternative to the many highly muscular action figures and male fashion dolls on the market today. Lamm said the doll's design is based on the CDC's data on the average measurements and BMI for 19-year-old and 24-year-old males in the U.S.

At the moment, the final "boy Lammily" is only a digital prototype, but the creator said he hopes his new crowdfunding campaign will help make the empowering toy a reality. Once funded and manufactured, the actual doll will come with a story "describing what he does and who he is" and the option for kids to choose their own names for him

"I think realistic representations of men can positively influence kids' body image and show boys it's cool to show your emotions," Lamm told HuffPost.

Lamm drew inspiration for the male doll from his personal experience with body image. "Back in high school I thought I needed to lose weight because I read that I needed a really low body fat percentage in order to achieve a six pack," he said. "I'm not that tall, so I'm like, 'hey, at least I'll have a six pack!' I became so skinny that I just didn't recognize myself anymore."

"My experience in high school essentially came down to me being influenced by the media, peers, many different things," he continued. "I often internalized these pressures and they became core to my identity. Who I was, was directly linked to what I looked like. And how much time I spent worrying about my looks is time I'll never get back."

Reading reports that showed fashion dolls like Barbie may lead to eating disorders and other body image issues compelled Lamm to take action. After releasing the female Lammily doll in 2014, he started receiving requests for a "realistic boy doll," as well.

"I also read Brian Cuban's book called Shattered Image, which showed me that there are many men out there who suffer from the affects of negative body image," he said. "So, to me, the boy doll is the next logical step."

Lamm's new crowdfunding campaign only just launched today, but he's already received pledges of nearly $8,000 toward his goal of $70,000. He hopes even more parents, educators, businesses and everyday citizens will "join the toy revolution" to make playtime a more positive experience for children.

"I've seen boys play with [girl] Lammily dolls because they like how 'real' the doll looks," Lamm said. "It's almost as if it stops being a doll and it becomes a tiny person. Kids are very observant about the small details, the toes, the fingers, the belly button."

He added, "I hope that, playing with realistically proportioned dolls, kids may have a better chance to grow up with realistic expectations about their own appearances."

To learn more about the new Lammily doll, visit the crowdfunding campaign website, and keep scrolling for more images of the design.

Barbie Looks Like The Rest Of Us Now. Why Doesn't Ken?

$
0
0

Humankind has made it to 2016, and it feels great to be here. Barbie's birthday is on March 9, and Ken's is two days later. He's 55 and alive at a time when there are more ways to categorize men than ever before.

You might meet a guy at the bar and immediately recognize from the way that he talks about your drink that he is a mansplainer. Or that the gentleman using three subway seats for his midday nap is a manspreader. A lot of modern qualifiers for guys these days are portmanteaus with "man" in them so that you know who you're talking about.

It's easy, isn't it?

Wherever you go, you can run into sensitive men, rugged men, nice guys who open doors for people, white guys who don't understand their privilege, handymen, craft brewers, transexual men, men who love My Little Pony, podcasters, DJs, heck: even bros.

And there are words to describe them all.

Unfortunately for girls aged 3 and up, we still have one basic Ken doll:

Boy Band Guy.

Technically, the dolls above are from the Barbies Fashionistas collection, the same 2016 line that introduced "tall, curvy and petite" female Barbies with a range of body types, skin tones and hairstyles. In the career line, Barbie is a doctor, zoologist and film director. But no matter which way you spin it, each of the Kens from that lineup represent only one type of man: the guy who regularly gets his eyebrows threaded.

These Kens don't accurately reflect the subtle nuances of masculinity in the modern era, which have been underrepresented in the Barbie universe for too long. Girls aged 3 and up need a Ken who represents the true 2016 man.

Here are some modern/more accurate Kens we'd like to see:

  • Man Bun Ken

  • Craft Beer Belly Ken

  • Internet Troll Ken

  • Dad Ken With Elastic Jeans, Sandals And Socks, And Belt Clip For His Smartphone

  • Lumbersexual Ken

  • Trump-Voter Ken

  • Introverted Tech Support Ken

  • Athleisure Ken With Yoga Mat

  • Ken At His TEDx Talk

  • Burning Man Ken

Of course, he's evolved over the years -- Ken Carson was born on March 11, 1961 (two years after Barbie) wearing nothing but red swim trunks, cork sandals, a towel and molded plastic hair. Since then he's worn tuxedos, crop tops and an electric blue belted jumpsuit. He's gone from blonde to brunette and back, and has rooted hair now, but his clothes and coiffure aren't the only thing that's evolved.

In 1982, Mattel launched Sunsational Malibu Ken, the first African American Ken doll, complete with an Afro.

It was a step in the right direction, but it's only scratching the surface.

Modern Ken, like original Ken all those decades ago, still gives girls the wrong impression: that man would truly be happy providing love and support to his girlfriend, even if the woman is as independent and successful as Barbie.

Let's take a look through Kens of the past, and hope that he begins to evolve a little more.

How to Choose a Hair Color for Your Skin Undertone Using Color Analysis

Have you ever walked into a hair salon with a picture of a celebrity or flipped through a hair color swatch book and chose a color you wanted your stylist to match?

The problem with the above scenarios is that there is a major step missing and that step is analyzing which hair colors give off your best.

Some of the benefits of wearing a hair color that gives off your best include:
  • A slimmer and more refined facial shape and jawline.

  • A more vibrant and healthy glow.

  • Harmony and balance between skin and hair coloring.

  • A more youthful appearance.

  • Vibrant and sparkling eye color.

  • Professional appearance.

  • Lines, texture and any skin imperfections on the face are diminished.

The first step to determine your best hair color(s) is to find out what your skin undertone is. If you don't know whether you have a cool or warm skin undertone, this blog may help you -- What's Your Skin Undertone? Not Knowing May Be Making You Look Washed Out.

The second step is to analyze what value and intensity of colors work best with you. Color value is about light or dark or level of color and intensity is about soft or bright. The best way to find out what value and intensity of colors work for you is by having a color analysis done or by visiting an experienced hair colorist. However, if you are interested in discovering what value and intensities work for you on your own, in the video above I offer some color analysis steps you can do before heading out to the hair salon.

I hope this blog post inspires you to wear your authenticity!

Everything’s Coming Up Roses With Temporary Tats That Smell Like Flowers

A temporary tattoo company has sprouted a new innovation.

The Brooklyn-based company, Tattly, has released a line of floral watercolor temporary tattoos with a scent that smells as sweet as they look.

The pretty-smelling Perennial Set comes with eight temporary tattoos (two of each design) plus a Tattly sponge for application. It retails for $18 a set and will be available online and in stores on April 19.

The idea came to Tattly’s founder, Tina Roth Eisenberg, when she stumbled upon French artist Vincent Jeannerot’s lush watercolor paintings online and instantly fell in love with his work, a company rep told The Huffington Post. She was already in talks with Agilex Fragrances to make a scented tattoo, but hadn’t come up with the perfect design yet -- but Jeannerot’s gorgeous paintings seemed perfect fit for a floral scent.

Eisenberg reached out to the artist to see if he would help design the aromatic tattoos and when he said yes the botanical brainchild began to bud.

The set features the artist’s blue hydrangea, pink and purple peonies and roses. All the tats have a single fragrance that includes notes of dewy fuchsia petals, pink poppies, ylang-ylang and poplar wood.

It’s enough to make a smile blossom on anyone’s face.

What The Presidential Candidates Look Like With Beards, Because You Were Wondering

It seems like many of this year's current and former presidential candidates are willing to say or do anything to get a vote.

What none of them have done thus far, however, is offer deserving Americans a glimpse of what they'd look like with a beard. If things like hand size and french fries are meant to influence the peoples' vote, so, too, should theoretical facial hair growth. (Style seems to matter for candidates, after all!)

Beards have been hot for a while now, and Americans deserve to know how their future president would look with some scruff. It's only fair. As such, Josh Steime of the digital marketing group MWI mocked up some images that put a whole new face on a handful of the candidates.

If best beard was the only stipulation for becoming the leader of this great nation, whom would you elect? Let us know in the comments.

Abercrombie & Fitch Has A New Look, And You Might Actually Wear It

Remember when Abercrombie & Fitch was decked out like an Alpine sweat lodge, thick with cologne, moose heads, men's nipples and abs? Those days are officially over.

Meet the new Abercrombie & Fitch, a toned down, classed up evolution, via the first collection designed by Aaron Levine, its new head of menswear.

Sharp, classic, fitted and rugged -- not the distressed, super-tight prep school style you probably remember. If the new style looks like something you'd wear, you're not alone.

GQ UK says the Spring/Summer 2016 line, which launched this week, looks cool and Maxim says it's "actually worth wearing." But instead of of taking the company into uncharted territory, Levine, long known in retail as a rescue man who puts out fires in struggling houses (see his work at Club Monaco, Jack Spade and Rogues Gallery), chose to return to A/F's roots, closer to the way it was in the early 1900s when the brand outfitted guys for safaris and sport.

"We are obsessing over every detail to ensure that our product is the absolute best we can make it," Levine, who worked on staff in the stores in the '90s, told HuffPost in an e-mail. "We have a very loyal customer and we want to look out for him, but we also have new product that will help push the brand forward."

The shift back to its roots is another step in the company's rebranding efforts in hopes to inspire more sales and bring back the energy of its early-2000s heyday.

Executives hope the new direction, which includes easing up on that cologne, putting shirts on those shirtless guys and relaxing on notoriously strict dress codes for its staff, will help correct the declining sales, not to mention the store's placement at the bottom of the American Customer Satisfaction Index this year.

Levine said his approach comes down to perfecting the details in the "fit, fabric and finish" of every piece: "We are looking at all fabrics that go into our woven shirts, outerwear and trousers. We are focusing on the yarns and raw materials that go into our knits, layering pieces and sweaters. We are looking at the buttons and zippers and details that make our product feel loved. We are obsessed with details. When we spend as much time as we are on this product and caring about it as much as we do, the product will naturally elevate."

There's no doubt that struggling competitor J.Crew is watching -- Business Insider published a pretty damning review of J.Crew's latest status, describing its future as nothing short of doomed.

Who knows, maybe Levine will find himself saving that house, too.

You might recognize twin sisters Cipriana and TK Quann from campaigns with fashion brands like & Other Stories and Gap, or featured in pubs like Vogue and W. With style bloggers following their every move, some consider them Millennial icons (Cipriana even got a shout-out on HBO's Girls).

RELATED: What You Can Learn About Fitness and Body Image From The Girls of Girls

But the Quann sisters are way more than pretty faces. The twins have also made their mark with Urban Bush Babes, a lifestyle site that celebrates individuality, natural beauty, and women of color. (Cipriana is co-founder and editor-in-chief; TK is a frequent contributor.) They're big proponents of wellness, too, as demonstrated by a recent Jawbone UP3 Activity Tracker band collab. Why the fit move?

"Being healthy--not only for the body, but for the mind--is imperative," says TK, who's a rapper, singer, and songwriter when she's not in front of the camera or writing for Urban Bush Babes. "Wellness is a journey and the steps along the way can be very rewarding mentally and physically."

Cipriana agrees. "We are all about challenging yourself to be the change you want to see. Anything that assists in that direction in a fun, positive, and motivating way is the type of leverage we will wholeheartedly support."

Ahead, they share more of their wellness wisdom--and, of course, a few style tips.

The Jawbone Activity Tracker seems like a huge fitness motivator. What else drives you to stay healthy, especially with such busy schedules?

Cipriana: To be honest, some days are a struggle to go to the gym, or maybe I want to eat a cupcake every night before bed (or perhaps two or three). What motivates me to stay on track is the way my body responds when I give it the healthy attention it needs. The more energy I have the more I can accomplish, and making the most of my time is of the utmost importance!

TK: Sometimes you might not be able to make the gym or work out--however, it helps to always have a workout or "health clause," so to speak, in the fine print of your daily life outside of the gym or if you workout at home. My clause is that I always try to take the stairs.

That's a really smart idea. Do you have any other daily wellness rituals that you swear by?

TK: Sometimes life is crazy and you think you're unable to work out as much as you truly desire. However, I think most people can find at least 20 minutes out of their day to work out. A 30-minute rigorous workout is better than a lackadaisical hour.

Cipriana: One of my biggest daily rituals is I prefer to hit the gym at 6 a.m.

On Urban Bush Babes, you share a lot of great beauty intel. Do you have any go-to products?

TK: Whatever I use as a daily cleanser on my face is organic. I love Dr. Bronners Magic Soaps. However, beauty--in every sense of that word--starts from the inside. So what you put in your body is what will be revealed on the outside either in a healthy or unhealthy way.

Cipriana: My biggest staple is 100% extra virgin coconut oil. Besides being one of the few natural oils that can actually penetrate the hair shaft to the cortex (reducing protein loss and providing real moisture similar to water), it is multipurpose, so I use it on my hair and skin, and cook with it as well.

Beauty Confession: I Found My Favorite Face Toner in My Pantry

My beauty confession: I ditched my expensive face toner for an apple cider vinegar beauty routine, and I absolutely swear by it. I'm always down to experiment with my skincare regimen, so I was totally on board when my twin sister Abby told me this stuff had straight up changed her skin for the better (it also got super high praise from our resident beauty DIYer, Misty Spinney). I had to give it a try -- especially since I've been devoted to pricey toner for quite some time, and my wallet could use a break.

Beauty_Beth_Apple_Cider_Vinegar_01

Immediately after switching to ACV to tone my skin, I was hooked. It's natural and so much gentler than the stuff I was using before. While it does have a pretty distinct smell (it is straight up vinegar after all), I don't hate it, and/or I got used to it after a while.

WHY I LOVE USING APPLE CIDER VINEGAR AS TONER

Beyond saving me major money (a big bottle costs about $5!), using ACV as a toner made a lot of sense for my skin. I have combination skin (I'm so LUCKY to get the best/worst of both worlds, meh!) so the acidity in the vinegar works wonderfully to balance out oily areas without further drying areas that need moisture. It also shrinks and tightens your pores -- a main function of face toner -- which is something we're all after.

Where You Can Find It: I highly recommend using raw, unfiltered, organic ACV (Bragg is my fave brand). You can find it at most major grocery stores.

Who Should Use It: Obviously, using ACV as face toner won't work well for everyone; we all have different skin, so what works for me might not work for you. If you have any combination of oily, dull and/or scarred skin (from sun spots or acne), you should give ACV a try. It sloughs away dead skin, leaving your face smoother and brighter. It can also help to lighten the appearance of scarred skin.

How You Should Use It: You can use it straight from the bottle like I do, or cut it with a bit of water to make it less intense, if you have sensitive skin. Experiment with the proportions until you find one that doesn't irritate your skin but still gets the job done! Simply apply it to a cotton ball and swipe it over your whole face or just areas that need clarifying. If the smell gets to you, after applying the ACV go over your face with a cotton ball and a bit of water.

Why This Is My Beauty Confession: It's an affordable, all-natural product that improved my skin. It works better than store-bought toners, and it makes me feel better that I know exactly what I'm putting on my skin instead of blindly using a concoction of chemicals. ACV has definitely earned a permanent spot in my bathroom cabinet and kitchen pantry.

Bernie Sanders' Suit Sparks A Debate Like We Haven't Seen Since #TheDress

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) wore a suit during Wednesday's Democratic debate that sparked a debate all its own.

Much like #TheDress, Sanders' suit didn't seem to be one definitive color. While his campaign's rapid response director tweeted that the suit was blue, the suit appeared brown to many watching TV.

A debate ensued:

Others saw neither blue nor brown:

So, which is it?

Blue?

Brown?

Olive?

Eggplant?

Yellow???

Tan???????????

Who really knows?

Jennifer Aniston Has A Moment In Sheer Lace For Harper's Bazaar

Lovely in lace.

Jennifer Aniston looks all sorts of gorgeous in the April issue of Harper's Bazaar, in which she talks about her relationship with Justin Theroux, political correctness and why she's excited for her 50s. Here's a preview:

Married life is easy.

Married life is so normal and fun and not much different. We felt married for so long ... I'm so proud of him.

Her 40s are the best.

I feel better in my 40s. Not only do you feel better in your body physically, but you're mentally better. Because, say, in your 20s, you didn't know shit. For me, in my 30s I was just trying to figure it all out. Then when you hit 40, you're like, 'Oh, okay. I got this.' There are women who've hit 50 who are stunners, like shocking. We just take better care of ourselves. I had somebody say to me, 'Women these days in their 40s look pretty good!'

She is all for jokes, PC or not.

Man, I think everyone's so freakin' politically correct lately. It's becoming a real drag. I like making jokes. I'm lucky because Justin is the funniest person I've met, and we make each other laugh. Laughter is one of the great keys to staying youthful.

For the full interview, head to Harper's Bazaar or pick up the issue on newsstands March 22.
