It's no secret that we at HuffPost Style have an obsession with all things Kate Middleton. From her elegant yet approachable style to that flawless hair, she can pretty much do no wrong.

So, it's no surprise that when this video of an 11-year-old Kate as Eliza Doolittle in a school production of "My Fair Lady" came out Monday morning, we spent quite a bit of time watching it... and re-watching it... and re-watching it.

We have to admit that Kate has quite a presence on stage. Maybe she could have even had an acting career -- you know, if that whole princess thing didn't get in the way.

Check out the video in all its adorable glory above.

38 Pieces of Food-inspired Clothes and Accessories That Actually Look Dope

Because we had the exciting opportunity to work with The Agenda Show during its couple-day tenure in Southern California, we also had the chance to thumb through racks and racks of apparel and accessories launching throughout 2014. We entered the show optimistically thinking that since food has evolved to become a larger part of the cultural zeitgeist, perhaps, just perhaps, we might find enough food-related clothing to put a writeup together. And that's when we became a bit overwhelmed with the seemingly insurmountable number of pieces, and even COLLECTIONS from streetwear brands like Beloved, Neff and Sabre. The clothing seemed to shout, FOOD, YOU'RE HERE TO STAY!, and we're excited to feed this trending fire.

Below, find a photo collection of our favorite pieces from the show itself and even a few brands that came from the extended Agenda network. If you're in the street/surf apparel industry, make sure to catch Agenda NYC happening this week: January 22-23. And if we missed a brand you personally rep that features food in its new lineups, make sure to drop us a line through our contact form or social handles (@foodbeast).

FYI, these food items were spotted at an industry trade show and may or may not be available presently. To find out more information, make sure to follow up with the individual brands.

Heidi Klum And Martin Kirsten Split After Over A Year Of Dating

It's over for Heidi Klum and her bodyguard boyfriend.

The supermodel and her beau of a year and a half, Martin Kirsten, have split, People confirms. The couple, who began dating shortly after Klum ended things with ex-husband Seal in Jan. 2012, reportedly separated a few months ago. Klum, 40, and Kirsten, 41, are calling it quits on their professional relationship, as well.

"Martin was there for her during a challenging time in her life and it was something she will always be grateful for," a friend close to Klum tells People.

Klum, who is a mother-of-four, gushed about Kirsten after they announced their romance, telling Bunte magazine, "This is one reason why I'm so fond of him ... He's been helping me for four years now, and he takes wonderful care of the kids. He plays with them, he protects them. I trust him."

"Life is about timing. He was incredibly supportive and they were there for each other, but they're moving on now," another source explains. "They still have a great friendship."

The Huffington Post has reached out to Klum's rep for a comment.

Here's Why Mexico's Hubertus Von Hohenlohe May Be The World's 'Most Interesting Olympian'

Internet, meet Hubertus von Hohenlohe.

Recently dubbed the "most interesting Olympian" in the world, the alpine skier -- who will be the only person representing Mexico at the Winter Olympics in Sochi -- is not your typical athletic star.

hubertus von hohenlohe
Mexico's Hubertus Von Hohenlohe passes a gate during the first run of the Men's giant slalom, at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010.

For one thing, von Hohenlohe, a six-time Mexican Olympian, is 55 years old, which reportedly makes him the second oldest person to ever compete in the Winter Games.

For another, he's German. And a prince. (Time magazine explains that von Hohenlohe is "a descendant of German royalty, the son of Prince Alfonso Hohenlohe and Princess Ira Fürstenberg.")

According to NBC News, von Hohenlohe, who was born in Mexico City, is also very, very accomplished. He's reportedly pursued a career as a pop singer -- performing under the names "Andy Himalaya" and "Royal Disaster." He's also described as a "world-class" photographer, a businessman and an heir to an automobile fortune.

And if that all wasn't enough to make the Internet implode, von Hohenlohe has also announced that he'll be wearing this mariachi-themed costume when he competes in Sochi:

Though von Hohenlohe, who has reportedly never finished better than 26th at the Olympics, will likely not earn a medal at the approaching games, he told NBC News that he's hoping to clinch the title of "best dressed" at the sporting event.

"[It's€œ] a medal I need so urgently," he said.

The prince has certainly got our vote.

Four Days, Two Fittings, and 5,437 Miles Across the Atlantic: Dressing Naiyana Garth for the Golden Globes

$

Many say January is the most depressing month of the year but I love it. It's a time for new beginnings, a fresh start, refocusing and looking ahead to the next 12 months. January is also awards season, meaning that red carpets all over the world are, for a brief few weeks, the focus of the world's media.

Just a week before the 71st annual Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles we were put in touch with a 6 months pregnant Naiyana Garth, who had just discovered she needed something spectacular to walk the red carpet in. Her partner, star of Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom and Best Actor nominee Idris Elba, had been unwell and it was touch and go whether they would even attend, particularly as the polar vortex was moving in and many flights to the US had been cancelled due to bad weather. However, after making a swift recovery, Idris decided that the Golden Globes were an occasion not to be missed and Naiyana was to go to the ball after all.

Naiyana, who is pregnant with the couple's first child, wanted to shine at the ceremony (and why shouldn't she?!) but she also wanted to be comfortable and feel confident in front of the hundreds of photographers covering the event. We offered to create something special for the occasion, designing and creating a bespoke gown to flatter her beautiful bump. We had dressed Naiyana for the UK premiere of the Mandela film just a few weeks before, so it was a real honour to be asked to dress her again and for such a wonderful occasion.

Naiyana was due to fly to LA just 4 days after getting in touch, so we knew we had our work cut out. She visited the design studio on the first day to discuss her ideas for how the gown should look. We gave Naiyana exclusive access to our yet to be released Spring/Summer 2014 collection, from which the beautiful floor-length Clara Gown caught her eye.

2014-01-22-TiffanyRoseDesignSketch.jpg

The team then set about adapting the existing design to meet Naiyana's needs. Naiyana loved the Clara Gown, particularly its twist detailing under the bust, but wanted to accentuate its plunging neckline further. We also gathered the dress at the shoulders in order to add coverage to this area, whilst slimming down the skirt and adding a slit to ensure the dress would exude elegance on the red carpet. We chose a quality stretch jersey fabric for the gown which gave it a wonderfully silky look but also ensured Naiyana was cool and comfortable throughout the evening.

2014-01-22-TiffanyRoseCutting.jpg

Day 3 quickly came around, and Naiyana made a second visit to the design studio for a final fitting. We made some last minute alterations and by day 4 we had created a gown that I am exceptionally proud of. Naiyana looked stunning in the dress on Idris' arm and it was wonderful to see her wearing one of our creations in front of the world's media.

2014-01-22-NaiyanaGarthattheGoldenGlobes13.01.14.jpg

Designing a dress to be worn on the red carpet at the Golden Globes seemed like a distant dream when I set up my business ten years ago, but now that dream has become a reality. Looking back on that week of chaos and thinking about the times when I was convinced we could never pull it off makes me feel prouder than ever of what my team achieved.

The baby bumps have been out in full force so far this awards season, with the likes of Drew Barrymore, Olivia Wilde and Kerry Washington all glowing on the red carpet. Wearing designs by the likes of Monique Lhuillier, Gucci and Balenciaga, it was wonderful to have a Tiffany Rose dress photographed alongside them. These women are also living proof that maternity fashion need not be frumpy and being pregnant does not mean that you can't compete in the style stakes.

Jennifer Lawrence Almost Walked Into The Men's Bathroom At A Bar, But Didn't

Jennifer Lawrence tends to make headlines for her charm and talent, so file this story under both: JLaw almost walked into a men's bathroom ... but didn't.

E! News reports that Lawrence and her "Hunger Games" co-star Liam Hemsworth were spotted on Jan. 25 at the The Bookhouse Pub in Atlanta before heading over to MJQ Concourse club. Lawrence apparently kept a low-profile -- so low that it didn't go unnoticed when she "almost walked into the men's bathroom."

We're sure your lives have been enriched now that you know she almost entered the men's room at an Atlanta bar, but didn't.

Kate Upton's Super Bowl Dance At MetLife Stadium Mimics Victor Cruz

With the Super Bowl just around the corner, Vogue has released a delightful Instagram video to tease Kate Upton's forthcoming football-themed photo shoot for the magazine's February 2014 issue, for which she appears with players from the New York Jets and New York Giants, as well as TV host Jimmy Fallon.

In the video, the blonde bombshell graces the field of New Jersey's MetLife Stadium (where the Super Bowl will be held on Feb. 2) and salsa dances like Giants receiver Victor Cruz does for his victory displays. It's pretty much one of the most adorable things you'll see all day.

(Story continues below.)

While she could have used a little more hip movement, Upton pretty much nails Cruz's signature victory dance. She even substitutes a clutch purse for a football.

In case you need a refresher of Cruz's dance, watch his stunning footwork below:

Sienna Miller Poses Topless For Esquire U.K., Talks About Her Struggle With Fame

Sienna Miller has been in show business for over a decade, appearing in movies like "Alfie" and "Layer Cake." But the former model really got noticed when she began dating Hollywood heartthrob Jude Law in her early 20s.

In a new interview with Esquire U.K., Miller poses topless and opens up about her career, her romance with Law and that phone hacking scandal, which had "a massive effect" on her.

Discussing her start in Hollywood, a now 32-year-old Miller said, “I was really naive, I think. I was a young 21. Not green as grass –- I was by no means an innocent -– but I had faith in the goodness of everyone. I was very open. And that led me into all sorts of situations that backfired.”

The British star ended up getting into some trouble after her fame took off, admitting that her bad behavior almost ruined her.

"On set, I was first to arrive, last to leave, best friends with the crew, totally professional, no d---ing around," she explained. "But when I wasn’t at work, I wasn’t behaving the way you should. I’m very lucky to have a second chance in that town."

A lot of rumors surrounded Miller following her breakup with Law in 2005 and her alleged affair with actor Daniel Craig. She was involved in a high-profile scuffle with the now-defunct tabloid News of the World, who admitted to hacking into her phone. (Law is currently waging war against the tab, answering personal questions about Miller and Craig's reported romance while he served as a witness on the trial in London.)

Following the scandal, Miller took a break, telling Esquire she "felt like I had no control over any aspect of my life, professionally or personally. So I deliberately disappeared."

"It’s so personal, it’s such a raw nerve, it had such a massive effect on me, on my life and career, that I don’t know what would come out of it except I will kind of vent, in a fury," she said of the phone hacking drama. "Believe me, there is a torrent of abuse I would love to hurl at half of their faces. But there are more eloquent people. I don’t trust myself. I’m too volatile."

These days, Miller is a mom to 1-year-old daughter Marlowe with fiance and fellow actor, Tom Sturridge, and is "really settled."

"He’s the perfect balance to my lunacy, which makes him sound really boring but he’s not, at all," she says of Sturridge. "It’s good, it works. It’s not easy, of course, but we’re a family and I love that."

Doctor Who, Doc Martens and All: Capaldi's Costume

Matt Smith's professorial getup and bow tie, and David Tennant's floppy coat, spectacles and "sand shoes," are things of the past. On January 27, the BBC revealed Peter Capaldi's individualized sartorial style for his role as Doctor Who, and the Twelfth Doctor's "new look" was the top hit that evening on the network's Entertainment and Arts site.

Capaldi is rather resplendent as the Doctor, in a navy-blue Crombie coat and trousers, white shirt and black Doc Martens. His dress is evocative of both English classics and Scottish heritage. Crombie advertises the Crombie coat, with its distinctive pinkish-red lining, as "a timeless classic evoking the very best of Britishness." Timeless for a Time Lord -- the same classy coat worn by Cary Grant and Noel Coward -- is a nice call by costume designer Howard Burden. Also, a coat created by a 200-year-old company that got its start in Aberdeen is a happy nod to Capaldi's having been born a Scot in Glasgow in 1958.

The Doc Martens are genius. With their German design and English manufacture, Doc Martens were made for factory workers, postal service mail carriers and men who worked on their feet. In the early 1960s, they were adopted by English skinheads -- from whom punk rockers and wannabe cool kids around the world then picked them up. They have defined rough, cool rebels wanting to make a statement with their feet for Capaldi's lifetime. In the London store in Covent Garden, I saw this month that Docs come in many fabrics now instead of the original, thick leather, and their steel toes have given way to fake-fur linings and glitter-painted patterns. Capaldi's Docs are the real thing: Proper bovver boots in gleaming black, almost clownishly big and boxy, suitable for clumping enemies underfoot, though not exceptionally good for running from trouble. Evidently, Capaldi will be apt to stand and face it.

Talking about his character and costume, Capaldi struck an appropriately in-your-face note. "He's woven the future from the cloth of the past. Simple, stark and back to basics. No frills, no scarf, no messing, just 100 per cent Rebel Time Lord."

We'll see whether the clothes make the man when the new series of Doctor Who airs later this year. Until then, I have very fond memories of that scarf -- worn, of course, by the truly eternal Fourth Doctor, Tom Baker.

Seventeen Magazine Reveals 'Most Powerful Girls 21 & Under' In Hollywood

$

Last week, readers were treated to a sneak peek of Seventeen magazine's March issue, where cover girl Selena Gomez was named No. 1 of Hollywood's most powerful girls 21 and under. Today, the magazine released the full list of honorees, which includes Sel-Go's BFF, Demi Lovato, Gabby Douglas and (newly minted Grammy-winner) Lorde.

Scroll down to find out which 17 superstars made the cut and to view photos of Selena. Head over to seventeen.com for more and pick up the March 2014 Power issue, which hits stands on Feb. 4.

1. Selena Gomez "The Mogul"

The Selena of 2014 is owning her place in the world. Selena, 21, is not only a star actress and singer, but she is also designing clothing lines for Kmart and Adidas, she heads a movie production company, she's an investor in a cool app start-up, has 77 million followers between Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and she's using her star power to help children around the world succeed as UNICEF's youngest-ever goodwill ambassador.

Selena on feeling powerful:

This year is when I really started feeling powerful. I had always been the underdog secretly. I was on Disney when it was Miley [Cyrus], the Jonas Brothers, and Demi [Lovato]. I questioned the way I looked, acted, sang, and wrote. Then I turned 20, went through a really bad breakup, and realized I needed to have 'Come & Get It' be amazing. I wanted it all to be me. I'm glad it's taken me this long to get where I am because now I am ready for it."

2. Demi Lovato "The Cool Chick"

Demi, 21, had a No. 1 song, judged 'The X Factor,' and scored a best-selling book! But it's her support of girls suffering from self-harm and addiction that puts Demi so high on the list.

Demi, on when she feels badass:

When I'm being influential to people who really need some guidance. I could keep my self-harm and addiction issues private, or I could use them to help other people. I chose the latter, and it's been the best decision of my life.

3. Miley Cyrus "The Rebel"

From her jaw-dropping VMA performance to her super-emo hit single, "Wrecking Ball," Miley, 21, proved that doing things on your own terms is the best way to live.

4. Victoria Justice "The Philanthropist"

Victoria, 21, is making serious noise to protect girls' rights around the world. She traveled to Guatemala with the UN Foundation's Girl Up organization and blogged about sexual violence, girls' lack of access to education, and inequality with boys in their communities -- raising awareness and funds to help girls succeed.

5. Chloe Grace Moretz "The Bodyguard"

Sure, she's an in-demand Hollywood actress, but what's really powerful is how Chloe, 17, speaks out about the bullying her gay brothers have experienced and how no one should have to go through that.

6. Karlie Kloss "The Model on a Mission"

She owned the Victoria's Secret fashion show runway and NYC (her billboard wraps around the biggest VS store in the world!). But Karlie, 21, is really proud that her Karlie's Kookies business supports Feed (more than 260,000 meals given to hungry kids!).

Karlie on being powerful:

For me, being powerful is way more than this career built on physical beauty.

7. Gabby Douglas "The Champion"

Her Olympic win was two years ago, but Gabby, 18, hasn't powered down. She had her second best-selling book and was tireless in her work for Right to Play, which uses sports to help empower kids from disadvantaged communities.

8. Ashley Rickards "The Activist"

Talk about selfless! Ashley, 21, is so committed to ending hunger and homelessness that she ate just a bowl and a half of rice and drank only water each day for a week as part of the Live Below the Line Campaign to bring attention to the pain of poverty.

9. Lorde "The Badass"

Lorde, 17, earned music-royalty status this year when she channeled her opinionated voice into a self-written single that ruled the charts.

10. Cara Delevinge "The Free Spirit"

Her unique beauty (those eyebrows!) is in demand, from Chanel to Stella McCartney. Pair that with her IDGAF attitude and Cara, 21, is one of today's biggest and most relatable models.

11. Ariana Grande "The Social Superstar"

The 20-year-old spends hours chatting with her 35 million social media followers - no surprise that all those fans have carried her album to a number one debut and made her show, "Sam & Cat," a huge hit.

12. Zendaya "The Triple Threat"

Youngest 'DWTS' contestant ever? Check. (She's 17!) Hit single on debut album? Check. Starring role on her own new Disney show? Check. This power girl literally does. It. All.

13. Kate Upton "The Cover Girl"

Kate's major curves have graced the covers of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue, Vogue, and Elle -- proving that loving your body, not shrinking it, is seriously powerful.

14. Ariel Winter "The Brave One"

We've watched Ariel, 16, grow up on TV's most lovable (and successful!) "Modern Family." And last year, she handled herself with major maturity in the face of family drama.

15. Abigail Breslin "The Veteran"

She's been acting since age 3 and scored an Oscar nom at 10, but at 17, Abigail is just getting started sharing her true self with the world -- see her recent outspoken tweets about everything from boys to fashion.

16. Carly Rose Sonenclar "The Voice"

Even as her first single, "Fighters," blows up, she has a passion for helping seriously ill kids. Carly, 14, channels her 'X Factor' attention into fund-raising shows for The Starlight Children's Foundation.

17. Bridgit Mendler "The Rising Star"

This actress-singer, 21, is a workhorse! From starring on "Good Luck Charlie" to dropping hit songs, Bridgit doesn't rest when she gets a taste of success. With her star just beginning to rise, she's earning power in the world by making her own luck.

Emma Watson's Wonderland Editing Gig Makes Us Think She Should Switch Careers

Celebrities guest-editing magazines is usually an excuse for them to just put themselves on the covers. (See this, this and this.)

But this time around, we're really not complaining. Emma Watson is the guest editor for Wonderland magazine's February issue, and the covers are downright gorgeous. The "Harry Potter" alumna described the pair of dreamy covers as "Afro Prada Bruiser or Elf Alien Queen," the latter of which reminds us just a smidgen of something you'd find at Hogwarts (but way prettier).

And it seems Emma actually had direct involvement in crafting both the covers and the content inside. Celebs in the issue include Pharrell, Lena Dunham and Lorde (!). Emma even tweeted about her rough editor experience.

We feel you, Hermione. For what it's worth, judging just by the covers, we think you'd actually make a great fashion editor. Time for a career change?

3 Women You Should Be Channeling This Year

$
0
0
When you are plus size and have self esteem issues, it's not uncommon to hate January 1st.

Once I eventually got past the dread of imminent resolution failure and looming hyper-inadequacy, I tabled New Years as nothing more than the passing of a calendar year. No more resolutions. No more unreachable standards. No more change. Just a different date on a check. Assuming I knew how to fill out checks, which I do not. (Is "memo" the place where I write inspirational Bon Jovi lyrics?)

So really, business as usual, aside from adding an additional year in my head to how long I've literally been doing something.

I've literally been been saying "bruschetta" wrong my whole life.

I literally cannot live in a world where "Law & Order" doesn't exist.

I would literally sell an organ for legit Jell-o pudding pops.

Part of me really began to miss New Year's Eve. I still did the whole champagne, kiss at midnight, bawl my face off at "Auld Lang Syne" (the "Danny Boy" of holiday anthems) thing, but after a few celebrations like this, waking up the next morning of a new year began to get anticlimactic.

The morning shows all had segment after f*cking segment about all the ways I should change absolutely everything about me, but I actually didn't want to do that. I didn't want to be different, I just wanted to be more.

Stronger, sexier, funnier, happier... more. I thought about what I loved; strong women and my curves. And cat YouTube videos, I'm not a robot.

But the first two things, women and my body, those are things I would love to pay homage to in 2014, as they're the reason I am where I am today, all half a million a month and 210 lbs., respectively.

To honor the women who came before me and stand beside me, I've decided to do my own personal Muse Project.

Each year I am going to select three iconic women to influence, inspire and mainline into my veins like creative heroin(e). Women who stood out as innovators and life changers. Women who weren't afraid to be bold and make people uncomfortable. Women whose voice I hear echo through my head as I stand over the sink and stare into the mirror each morning. Women who physically have nothing in common with me besides our shared desire to live epically, own our sexuality and make people laugh.

To kick off the project, I gathered three talented and strong women from my own life (photographer Chelsea McGowan, make-up artist/stylist Meagan Bechtel and humorist/best friend Shauna Glenn), and ventured out into the early morning hours (it was 4 a.m.) on a crisp Texas morning (it was 30 degrees) with some fun fashion, non-stop laughter and bacon maple donuts.

Gilda, Lucille and Marilyn, this one's for you.

Lucille BallMuse: Lucille Ball. She created a groundbreaking television show, ran a major television studio, was a wife, a mom and physical comedy perfection. Lucy was the original "Bitches get stuff done." Instead of waiting for the industry to embrace her, she rebuilt the damn industry. From talent to timing, it was a poster of Lucy that hung on the ceiling above my bed. What would Lucy do in 2014? Live a life full of unapologetic mischief.

Gilda Radner

Muse: Gilda Radner. "I'd much rather be a woman than a man. Women can cry, they can wear cute clothes, and they're the first to be rescued off sinking ships." There was something deeply tragic about Googling pictures of Gilda, there just simply weren't enough. There were not enough photos to in any way convey the magnitude of  impact she has had women in this industry. You didn't notice she was small and you didn't notice she was beautiful, because everything she created around you was so addictively giant. What would Gilda do in 2014? She would set out every day to amuse herself to the fullest, and let others come along for the ride.

Marilyn MonroeMuse: Marilyn Monroe. You can't throw a rock at the curvy blogosphere without hitting a Marilyn Monroe picture, but the very real fact is... Marilyn Monroe wasn't plus-size, no matter how badly we wish it to be so. For years, I have clung to her image, whipping it out like a cop badge at the first instance of fat shaming, because at the time, I needed it. I needed her to be a sexy plus-size woman, because if she was a sexy plus-size woman, maybe -- through some sort of weird Common Core math -- I could be a sexy plus-size woman, too. The truth is, we don't need to hold Marilyn to a false standard to feel sexy, we're already sexy because we're f*cking women and our bodies are glorious. So, instead of idolizing her for pretend reasons, I chose to idolize her for what she invokes in me, regardless of size... uninhibited, flawed beauty. What would Marilyn do in 2014? She would be bold in her successes, even bolder in her weaknesses, and look sexy as hell doing it.

The Most Important Thing A Man Can Do: Get His Clothes Tailored

$
0
0
Tell a man he needs to upgrade his wardrobe, and he'll probably assume that means a trip to the store.

But sometimes you don't need new clothes -- you just need better fitting clothes. Fit is the difference between a cute maxi dress and a muumuu, high-waisted jeans and "mom" jeans, a GQ-approved suit and a clown suit.

And fit is even more important when you're petite. Menswear designer Jaden Lam had that exact problem. Standing at 5 foot 6 inches, Lam told HuffPost Style, "I have always struggled to find clothes to fit my body."

The issue wasn't size -- after all, most men's clothes come in sizes small and extra small. It's about fit. "The proportions of everything they're buying are off," Mike Paul, a rep for Jaden Lam, told us. "Standard mediums, smalls and extra smalls are just too big for as many as half the male population," added Lam. The CDC puts the average American man's height between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 8 inches, but most men's clothes are cut for a men 5 foot 10 inches and up.

Said Lam, "I believe that all these men are facing the same problem: They have to sacrifice everything from the fit and the style." His solution was to create a line of men's clothing specializing in smaller proportions, aimed at men 5 feet 9 inches and under. And there are other brands, such as Jimmy Au's For Men 5'8" and Under and Peter Manning NYC, that do the same.

Because getting a perfect fit, not simply the right size, makes all the difference. Don't believe us? Check out these male models, wearing styles by Jaden Lam and photographed by Heidi Gutman. Can you see the difference?

Lorde's Real Age Questioned By Conspiracy Theorists, Birth Certificate Revealed

Ever since Lorde burst onto the scene with the hit song "Royals" this past spring, you've probably caught yourself saying, "I can't believe she's only 16." And since Nov. 7, you've been saying, "I can't believe she's only 17."

It's okay. Lorde doesn't really bear resemblance to any teenager we've ever known, and she also seems to possess more wisdom than most adults three times her alleged age. Theorists additionally note that some of the singer's quips in recent interviews seem to give the conspiracy legs.

"Hi, I'm Ella," she deadpanned to Vanity Fair at a pre-Grammys party, "And I'm actually 45."

And then there was that time she told Rookie Mag's Tavi Gevinson, "[The Virgin Suicides] really resonated with me as a teenager," adding, " I mean, I am still a teenager."

So now you're thinking it's all part of a scam, right? Just like that "Felicity" writer/actress Riley Weston who claimed to be 18, and earned praise as a "wunderkind," before it was revealed she was actually 32. It was all very movie-of-the-week, but when it comes to Lorde, apparently she's actually the real deal.

The Hairpin shelled out a whopping $17.02 to the New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs for a copy of the singer's birth certificate. According to the document, Lorde, whose real name is Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O'Connor, was born Nov. 7, 1996.

She's 17.

Come on people, she's just an old soul.

Selena Gomez has the good fortune to be in a part of the country warm enough to wear a crop top in January, so that's just what she did.

The 21-year-old former Disney star was spotted by photographers making a pit stop at a 7-11 store in Encino, Calif. on Tuesday (Jan. 28). Gomez grabbed a cool beverage with an unidentified pal, looking cute in a floral, sleeveless crop top and high-waisted pants.

The last time we saw Gomez, she was having dinner with longtime friend Demi Lovato, undoubtably discussing ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber's arrest in Miami earlier that day.

Lea Michele Talks Cory Monteith In Teen Vogue, Says 'He's Watching Everything I'm Doing'

It's been seven months since Cory Monteith's tragic death and his real-life and on-screen girlfriend Lea Michele is continuing to display unimaginable, admirable strength. Michele graces the March cover of Teen Vogue and in the issue, speaks to her best friend, actor Jonathan Groff, about her lost love.

Talking about her favorite song off her upcoming debut album, "Louder," Michele says her favorite song is "100 percent, 'You're Mine.' I listened to it the other day -- it was the one song I had the most emotional reaction to, just because that's my relationship with Cory."

The "Glee" star then raves about her late boyfriend and the support he gave her, saying: "He was such a fan, you don't understand. He would be like, 'You're going to be a pop star! What are we going to do? Are we going to, like, go on the road?' He would say, 'This is going to be big!' And I'd be like, 'I don't know.' He heard every song and gave me his notes on everything."

When Groff tells her "I feel like the world has been compassionately watching to see how you would react to what happened. And across the board, you've presented yourself in such a classy way. You really are the quintessential role model. And as your friend, watching you go through what you went through, I saw you exhibit so much strength. Where do you think that strength comes from? I can't comprehend it."

Michele replies:

"I somehow feel the insane love Cory and I had for each other morphed into this strength that I have right now. There's just something about knowing he's watching everything I'm doing and feeling like I have to do everything now not just for me but for him. I also have a safety net below me -- if I fall or if it's too much, my friends and family will be there to catch me."

Cameron Diaz Proves She's A True Role Model

Cameron Diaz was inspiring women to take control of their bodies long before her new tome, "The Body Book," hit shelves in December 2013. The 41-year-old actress -- and advocate for female empowerment -- works with Tag Heuer as an ambassador to support an international campaign that raises awareness for UN Women’s gender equality and women’s economic empowerment programs globally.

Diaz helped the luxury Swiss watch brand celebrate the opening of an NYC flagship store on Fifth Avenue on Tuesday (Jan. 28) and took the time to speak with The Huffington Post about her involvement with Tag Heuer, her new book and how she feels about her own body:

You're a huge role model for women, especially younger women. What would you tell them about loving their bodies?
What I would tell women is that your body is your responsibility. It's your body, nobody else can take care of it and you really, truly do not know what body you have and what your body is capable of until you been consistent with meeting its needs on the level of nutrition and physical activity. If you haven't done that in your lifetime, consistently, you're not honoring the body that you have and what it could be. I feel like it's really important to understand these things about yourself on a cellular level. Once you understand that, and your body becomes something completely different to you, so does the entire world around you. You cannot look at the world the same after that. And you start to participate in it differently.

Yup, that's pretty empowering ...
What you do is you get rid of the confusion and the negativity that you're pointing in on yourself and now, instead of fighting your body, you're in harmony with your body and you have all this energy to put back out into the world. You can do amazing, beautiful things with your body and participate in being a part of the most powerful force on the planet, which is being a woman. I feel like that's really an exciting thing to think about.

I love participating in things that mean something. I make movies because I want people to feel and laugh and have fun and learn about themselves and learn about other people. All the stories I've been telling for 20 years, being a part of Tag Heuer, it's reminding me constantly that I get to go do something else that's amazing ... that's something that is important, to make those things a reality for ourselves. And you can't physically do that until you educate yourself and you hold the knowledge that you need to know about your body and also what the world is really about.

Speaking of the body, how do you dress, for you? What are your fashion standards?
For me, it's all about appropriateness. It's about dressing appropriate for what I'm doing and where I'm going and what I want to represent myself as at any given particular moment. It's about being authentic to myself and appropriate for what I think that moment needs.

Like I chose this outfit (see photo below) this evening because I feel comfortable in it as far as, it's a dress, but it's got warmth to it ... because it's actually a jacket. [laughs] It's freezing! Also I feel like it's classy and timeless. I feel like it's chic and elegant, but it's also a little edgy.

What do you feel about this new "completely sheer dress" trend? Gwyneth Paltrow rocked one recently ...
I don't really follow trends so much, you know what I mean? What I love about Gwyneth is that she can wear an-y-thing. Like literally wear anything, any trend, and look amazing in it. I can't really pull that off because I feel like I have too much of my own thing that I can't just wear anything. But I'm always in admiration of her, like, "Gosh, she can really pull that off! That's amazing, nobody else would be able to do that." So, I love that she can do that! [laughs]

Do you have a favorite body part of your own?
No, you know, the way I feel about that is it's like saying, "Do you have a favorite child?" If I say I like one part more than the other, than it's sort of like saying the other one is not good enough and I don't play that! [laughs] I love them all for what they do for me and what they're capable of.

Why did you want to partner up with Tag Heuer?
This partnership started about two years ago and I don't normally sort of endorse brands, but I feel like with Tag, it's not really an endorsement, it's really a partnership. It's more of a statement; This is a brand that I really believe in, it's quality, what it stands for, what it's been doing for the last 150 years ... Also, the partnership we have with UN Women, I thought, was very much in the nature of Tag, who give back to and empower people. Giving to the UN to help empower women all over the world, I thought that was a worthy cause to also partner with.

Cameron Diaz can be seen next in "The Other Woman," which hits theaters in April. She also just wrapped production on "Annie," in which she plays Miss Hannigan opposite Jamie Foxx and Quvenzhané Wallis.
