Pack Your Chanel! Karl Lagerfeld Is Designing A Hotel

$

0
What do you do when you're one of the most famous names in fashion and you just finished putting on Paris Fashion Week's coolest show? Design hotel rooms, of course.

At least that's what Karl Lagerfeld is doing. Women's Wear Daily reported Thursday that Chanel's head honcho will design a 270 room hotel in Macau, a ritzy, largely tourist-based peninsula in China.

We all know nothing short of ultimate luxury will be sufficient for Uncle Karl, whether it be on the runway or in a bathroom. In fact, when it comes to the hotel, he appears to be taking Coco's lead."You know, Gabrielle Chanel always said, 'I only make dresses I would wear.' And I make only rooms where I would like to sleep. It's as simple as that," he explained.

If that's true, these rooms are bound to be super chic. We'll have to wait until 2017 to see what they look like (and how much they cost per night!).

Which Oscar Stars Actually Have Style? We'll Never Know.

$

It starts to sound like a lightbulb joke: How many people does it take to get a woman dressed for the Oscars? Kidding aside, the answer seems to hover around 10, when you factor in several designers who compete for the honor of custom-making a gown for her, the celebrity stylist who coordinates her whole look, various assistants, a seamstress and an armed guard to stand watch over all the jewels sent over by Harry Winston. Think I'm exaggerating? Check out this Instagram compilation from numerous stars thanking their enormous glam squads. And thanks are in order. If they do their jobs right (as they nearly always do), the star walks into a hotel suite filled with flawlessly curated fashion, chooses from a range of can't-go-wrong options, and then sails out onto the red carpet to coo at Ryan Seacrest, "I picked this one because it just felt like... me."

In truth, we'll never know what her unaided style looks like. What might she have worn in the pre-stylist era? Think back to when Demi Moore came to the Academy Awards in bike shorts and Kim Basinger wore a cross between a gown and a tuxedo (a gotux?). Award show fashion was far less tasteful and much more fun back then. Celebrities got blamed for their style mistakes, but also lauded for their brilliance, as when Sharon Stone (all on her own) paired a white Gap button-down with an evening skirt.

Authentic, individual acts of style like Sharon Stone's are rare on the red carpet these days. If you want to see more of them, grab your coat and hit the street. That's where you'll find stand-out experimentation and joyful self-expression. Street style has always been inspiring, but never more so than now with all the varied sources of cool fashion out there, from H&M to vintage, ebay to Etsy. Real women are taking advantage, killing it every day in outfits they put together on a real budget, to live a real life.

Those women are the style heroes we revere at Redbook, the magazine I put out with a fantastic team of fashion-savvy editors. So this September, we're turning the spotlight on them with our Real Women Style Awards. You can learn more here. I'm already blown away by the torrent of great looks women are submitting. Check out this one, and this and this. If you are wondering if you should be up there with them, showing off your accessorizing chops, great new/vintage mix or the way you channel Sophia Loren/Grace Kelly/Grace Jones? The answer is YES.

Your selfie beats that Oscar selfie any day. So post it here. Jennifer Lawrence, eat your heart out..

Miley Cyrus' Full Marc Jacobs' Spring/Summer 2014 Campaign (PHOTOS)

When we first saw Miley Cyrus' pouty lips in ads from the Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2014 campaign, we were kind of into it. But, this full spread is making us think that Miley might be making the right moves in gaining yet another credential on her resume: model.

Throughout the Marc Jacobs ads, Miley exchanges her twerkin' good times and flashy fashion for a dark, brooding wardrobe that evokes a dream-like atmosphere. And not going to lie, we love the piece-y, wet hair, which we saw a lot of on during Paris Fashion Week.

What do we have to do to be in the good graces of Marc Jacobs? Any tips, Miley? What about you, Kendall Jenner?

See Miley Cyrus show a different side in the campaign photos below, shot by photographer David Sims.

Prince Doesn't Want Anyone Touching His Hair (VIDEO)

Whether your hair is curly or straight, natural or processed or braided, most black people agree that they don’t appreciate strangers touching it. The conversation surrounding this cultural phenomenon of textual curiosity is one that often remains attached to racial stigmas.

Prince is among those who find unwarranted interactions with their hair offensive and intrusive. The world-renowned singer sported an Afro on the "Arsenio Hall Show" this past Wednesday, where he debuted his new song "Funknroll,” and humored the audience with a Q&A session. When asked about his pet peeve, Prince smiled before answering, “strangers touching my hair.” The crowd broke into an uproar of applause and laughter as he mimed silly hand gestures of someone doing exactly that, before playfully balling his hand into a defensive fist.

Prince’s answer was funny in the context of the show, but the discussion of black people’s hair and respect of the personal space surrounding it is a serious topic in the black community. Chris Rock made the documentary "Good Hair" about it in 2009, featuring strong opinions of countless black celebrities, hair dressers and their customers.

PSA: If it's not yours, don't touch it!

Check out Prince explaining his pet peeve in the clip above. And let us know how you feel about people touching your hair in the comments section below.

11 Remarkable Ways Detroit Changed The World For The Better

HuffPost's Good News USA series showcases both past and present ways cities across the country have created a positive impact worldwide and within their own communities.

The 2013 version of Detroit may be bankrupt and beginning to rebuild, but the city is drawing from its tremendous wealth of history as it looks ahead. From music and industry to sports and invention, Detroit has led the way since being founded by explorer Antoine Laumet de la Mothe, sieur de Cadillac in 1701. The city's geographic location on the Detroit River helped the settlement grow into a thriving fur-trapping and trade hub.

Detroit's contributions to American and international history are significant, in part because of its shared border with the Canadian city of Windsor. Detroit was the last stop for many slaves who passed through the Underground Railroad to freedom in Canada. That border also made Detroit a natural center for hatching liquor-running schemes during Prohibition.

Here are 11 incredible ways Detroit has changed the world for the better.

1. When Martin Luther King Jr. previewed the "I Have A Dream" speech.

detroit freedom march

Before the March on Washington, 25,000 Detroiters gathered in Cobo Hall to hear a preview of Martin Luther King Jr.’s "I Have a Dream" speech on June 23, 1963. Known as the "Detroit Walk to Freedom," MLK Jr. marched down Woodward Avenue with Walter Reuther, the Reverend C.L. Franklin and 125,000 other civil rights believers. For the 50th anniversary in June 2013, thousands gathered to walk down Woodward Avenue in remembrance. Wendell Anthony, Detroit NAACP president, told WJBK that the march signified "that the work for freedom and justice must continue."

2. When the Red Wings won the first Stanley Cup in 42 years.

russian five detroit red wings

The Detroit Red Wings' journey to back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in 1997 and 1998 ended one of the longest cup droughts in NHL history. A million people showed up to celebrate the team at a parade down Woodward Avenue in 1997. The Red Wings' first championship in 42 years gave some credence to the nickname "Hockeytown," that Detroit had adopted. It set the stage for greatness behind the Red Wings bench and on the ice (22 straight playoff appearances!), leading some to dub them the greatest franchise in pro sports. The team's integration of European and Soviet-style hockey strategies, best expressed by the famous Russian Five lineup, led the push to make hockey a truly international game.

3. When Hazen S. Pingree's potato patch inspired the nation to feed the hungry.

hazen pingree

He was the greatest mayor Detroit would ever know. Hazen S. Pingree, an avowed social reformer and enemy of major corporations and monopolies, fought during his 1890-1897 tenure to expose corruption and negotiate fair costs for Detroiters. But Pingree is best remembered for his potato patch. The Panic of 1893 hit Detroit hard, and by late 1894, there was no money left to care for the poor. Pingree mounted an unprecedented public works campaign and opened the city’s massive holdings of vacant land for garden plots and potato patches. "Pingree’s potato patches broke the back of hunger," the Detroit Free Press later wrote, according to Historic Detroit. "They were nationally acclaimed and copied. They revealed a city of boundless energy and industry unwilling to live on doles."

4. When Berry Gordy dreamed up a record company that would spread the Motown Sound to the world.

In 1959, a songwriter named Berry Gordy had already written a number of hits for Jackie Wilson. But he still didn't have the financial means to open his own business, Gordy told "Oprah’s Master Class" last year. He asked his family for $1,000, but they could only afford $800. That modest sum bought the small photo studio on Detroit’s Grand Blvd. that the world came to know as "Hitsville USA" -- home to Motown Records, and dozens of hit singles by the Temptations, the Supremes, Marvin Gaye, the Jackson 5 and more.

5. When Diego Rivera's industry murals challenged the status quo.

diego rivera detroit mural

Diego Rivera's bold, vivid frescoes helped establish the Mexican mural movement in the United States, and his public art-making became the biggest inspiration for Franklin Roosevelt's WPA program during the Depression. It was the political messages entwined with the murals that made Rivera, husband of Frida Kahlo, such a controversial figure in American art. He was an avowed atheist and Marxist; these views led one of his murals to be removed from New York City's Rockefeller Center. Rivera painted his 27-panel mural at the Detroit Institute of Arts over 11 months in 1932 and 1933. His meditations on industry and its consequences, along with his portrayal of workers, are considered the artist's greatest American work, though it was condemned as pornographic and sacrilegious. Although Edsel Ford was pressured to remove the mural, he refused. During the height of McCarthyism, a sign was hung in Rivera Court condemning the artist's views but championing the murals.

6. When the city honored the first African-American national hero.

joe louis fist detroit

This 8,000-pound, 24-foot-long sculpture of Joe Louis' fist sits proudly in the center of the city. Joe Louis was the heavyweight champion of the world from 1937 to 1950 and is regarded as one of the first African-American national heroes. "The Fist" has become a symbol of pride and determination for the people of Detroit. It was paid for by a $350,000 commission from Sports Illustrated magazine and was sculpted by Robert Graham.

7. When the "Bad Boy era" made physical basketball an acceptable practice.

The Pistons hit the jackpot when they scored the #2 pick in the 1981 NBA draft: Isiah Thomas, who would go on to become one of the greatest NBA point guards. They then hired Chuck Daly as head coach in 1983, guiding the team to back-to-back championships in 1989 and 1990. Thomas and Daly led the Pistons into what is referred to as the "Bad Boy era," which changed the way athletes imposed their will on the competition. For the first time in basketball history, players were using strength, brute force and intimidation to dominate their opponents. "Detroit has my basketball soul and is a city that has always persevered against the odds," Thomas told The Huffington Post. "Detroit is a city that has impacted the world through its music, sports and motor vehicles. I love Detroit!"

8. When a young inventor (Henry Ford) founded his own automobile company.

henry ford detroit automobile company

A young Henry Ford assembled his first engine-powered vehicle, the Quadricycle, in secret at his rented home on Bagley Avenue. Three years later, in 1899, Ford founded the Detroit Automobile Company, an automobile manufacturer, with backing from investors. The company closed down January 1901, but it didn’t take long for Ford’s idea to make a comeback. It was reorganized into the Henry Ford Company on Nov. 30, 1901, changing the automobile industry forever.

9. When three kids helped make the city the birthplace of techno.

movement festival

Techno may have taken over the world, but like Motown music, it was invented in Detroit. Juan Atkins, Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson were high school friends who became known locally as "The Belleville Three," for their work shaping and building electronic music. The techno they helped create is more than a genre: it's a sonic perspective exploring the post-industrial city and the future it holds. Electronic music still takes center stage every summer at the annual Movement festival downtown.

10. When Detroit paved its way to a better future.

First City to Pave a Concrete Road

Not only was Detroit known for automobiles, but it also created the first mile of concrete highway in the nation in 1909. It cost $13,537 and ran on Woodward Avenue between Six and Seven Mile roads. Detroit paved the way for other states to build concrete highways: Road builders came from everywhere to see how the concrete held up after a substantial number of cars drove on it. The nation's first four-way electric traffic light was at the corner of Woodward and Michigan Avenues in Detroit. The light was the invention of Detroit police officer William Potts.

11. When the first regularly scheduled programs were broadcast over the radio.

first radio broadcast

While there is debate surrounding who started the nation's first radio station, Detroit's 8MK was founded on Aug. 20, 1920, and claims to be the first radio station to broadcast regularly scheduled news reports, as well as religious broadcasts and play-by-play sports reports. Founded by the Scripps family and licensed to the Detroit Evening News, it was later renamed WWJ.

Former Miss Kentucky Djuan Trent Comes Out As Queer

Former Miss Kentucky Djuan Trent has come out as queer.

In a blog post written Feb. 24, Trent shared personal details about her journey. She discussed how she grappled with coming out over the years. She struggled with praying to the God she thought "made me 'wrong.'" She was scared her honesty would cause her to lose those close to her.

Her decision to open up to the public came after a judge ruled Kentucky must recognize same-sex marriages performed in other states and countries.

"I believe that my sexuality is my own ... and this is not kindergarten, so I don't have to share it with anyone if I don't want to. But it's nice when you share, right?" she wrote. "I would love to one day live in a society where coming out is no longer necessary because we don't make assumptions about one another's sexuality and homophobia is laid to rest. For now, that is more of an ideal than it is a reality. But if you want see that ideal become a reality and you have the courage to change history."

In a follow-up post on Sunday, Trent thanked everyone for the outpouring of support. Among those she mentioned were her family, friends, the Internet, the LGBTQ community and Ellen Page.

Page came out during a Human Rights Campaign event last month, saying she felt a "personal obligation and social responsibility."

The beauty queen won the Miss Kentucky title in 2010 and landed in the top 10 in the Miss America competition in 2011, according to People.

Author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie On Lupita Nyongo's Beauty: I'm So Grateful She Exists

During a recent segment of HuffPost Live, critically acclaimed author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie discussed Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o and her influence on beauty for black women.

"I think her existence is very important" Adichie said, while expressing her personal adoration for the actress.

Adichie goes on to talk about Nyong'o's mainstream presence, pressing the notion that the Kenyan actress' looks challenge a typical Hollywood aesthetic. "Looking the way she looks, she's very dark-skinned, she has natural hair -- this is spectacular," Adichie added.

And speaking of spectacular, last week Nyong'o gave a powerful speech at Essence Magazine's Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon, telling her story about accepting her beauty as it is, not as it should be.

10 Painless Ways To Change Your Messy, Messy Habits

$

If you're the type who considers the act of maintaining an organized (and spotless) home a waste of time, prepare to have your world rocked. "Clean people" know that you don't have to devote hours upon hours to keep your living space from becoming a chaotic mess. You just have to adopt a few simple habits that can be painlessly incorporated into your daily routine. We caught up with Jolie Kerr, author of "My Boyfriend Barfed In My Handbag...And Other Things You Can't Ask Martha" (Penguin, 2014) and our favorite expert on all things clean, about the foolproof ways to avoid a life lived among cat-sized dust bunnies. These tips can't completely undo a lifetime of bad habits, but they're a very easy start. We'll take it room by room.

In The Bedroom
1. Make your bed on a daily basis.
made bed
Right after you get out of the bed. Not "I'm about to go to sleep, so I'm going to make my bed now." Kerr has already debunked pretty much every excuse you'll have about why you shouldn't make your bed. Instead, we'll briefly rattle off the benefits of doing so: It makes the room look neater, it keeps your comforter from your probably-not-vacuumed-recently floor and it is one less thing you'll have to do at night. If you're truly lazy, Kerr has given us her blessing about simplifying your bedding to just a comforter, a bottom sheet and a few pillows. You won't have to do anything more than re-position your pillows and comforter.

2. Throw your clothes into a hamper, not on the floor.
laundry hamper
If you're using a laundry bag, stop. If you're using your floor as some sort of giant hamper or closet alternative, definitely stop. A proper hamper is where dirty clothes go, immediately, until you can get them into the laundry. Obvious? Yes. Unnecessary advice for many? No.

In The Living Room
3. Straighten the stacks of stuff on your coffee table.
coffee table books
Embrace the inevitability that spare books and magazines, however endangered both of these things are to the digital revolution, will all find their way to your coffee table. But a pile is OK, says Kerr, as long as it's neat. Same goes for spare pillows and blankets (simply fluff and fold, respectively). It doesn't even take a minute to do.

4. Dust. We're completely serious.
It'll cost you maybe 5 minutes of your time, but makes a big difference. Kerr recommends using a dryer sheet, which "picks up the dust, but also leaves behind a coating that will help repel dust for just a little bit longer."

5. Quickly vacuum.
After all, the dust has to go somewhere. Get a lightweight model and it won't be such a chore.

In The Kitchen

6. Wipe down the sink after doing the dishes.
kitchen sink drain
A quick wipe-down with Windex and a rag is enough. This will remove any lingering nastiness leftover from washing away the evidence leftover after last night's Chinese food binge.

7. Give counters a once-over with a Magic Eraser. (Especially if you have a cat. They wait until you go to work, then spend the day rolling on every available surface.
cat on counter
You can use the generic kind, but it's easier to refer to these cellulose sponges as Magic Erasers. You might normally think of them as the only thing that'll remove the weird scuff on the wall that's been unresponsive to typical cleaners, but these sponges work miracles when it comes to stuck-on food stains and other kitchen mysteries.

In The Bathroom

8. Wipe down the sink after your morning (and evening) routines.
bathroom sink
A microfiber sponge is tough enough to tackle toothpaste, but gentle enough to not scratch a porcelain enamel sink. This quick move is especially important for the gentlemen out there, who tend to leave behind a devil's confetti of tiny little beard hairs.

9. There's no delicate way to put this: Vacuum up fallen hair.
Kerr is adamant about keeping a small, handheld-type vac in the bathroom, expressly to pick up any hair that might have decided to depart one's head during the grooming process. This one's especially important for the ladies (and longer-haired gentlemen) out there, who tend to leave behind a disenchanting trail of hair.

Bonus tip for straightening iron users: Press the (unplugged) iron on a slightly damp towel.
It'll help loosen any baked-on styling product residue. Again, we can't say it enough: Unplug the flat iron before doing this.

10. Spritz down the tub with a daily spray cleaner after showering.
showerhead
Step out of the shower, then spray away. Then go about the rest of your day.

Are you a "clean person"? What are your painless daily tricks for keeping chaos at bay?

Vogue Publishes Yet Another Blackface Fashion Feature, Are You Offended? (PHOTOS)

Here we go again! Another magazine has decided that engaging in the racially insensitive act of Blackface is a glamorous idea. This time around the culprit is Vogue Italia. The glossy's March 2014 issue includes a feature entitled "Abracadabra" that was shot by Steven Meisel and shows model Saskia de Brauw in a series of images with her skin darkened while posing in ethnic wears -- headdresses, colorful wrappings, etc.

Not all the images portray Saskia in dark makeup, however the ones that don't show the Dutch model painted in traditional African tribal markings. And the addition of the African animals doesn't help matters.

We're thoroughly confused as to why the magazine didn't think this type of editorial would be offensive and why they didn't just use a black model in the first place. Clearly the "Blackface is NEVER Ok" memo addressed to the fashion industry keeps getting lost in the mail.

This feature follows a slew of other Blackface debacles, including Vogue Netherlands' "Heritage Heroes" atrocity, Numéro's "African Queen" fail and Metal magazine's "Transmission" faux pas.

There have also been the head-shaking instances where fashion notables have taken on the skin darkening themselves -- like in the case of Elle France's beauty editor Jeanne Deroo and fashion designer Allesandro Dell’Acqua.

Here's a look at Vogue Italia's "Abracadabra" feature. Are you offended?

This week on Twitter we found some MK & A street style snaps (a big congratulations to Mary-Kate on her engagement) and a photo of Chuck Bass looking like Hunter S. Thompson in a paperboy hat and brown leather jacket. Cue the Gossip Girl nostalgia.

In other news, we were ECSTATIC to learn that Lena Dunham will host Saturday Night Live tonight -- if you haven't checked out her promos, get on that ASAP. Scroll down for any Twitter updates you might have missed this week.

Jourdan Dunn Isn't Impressed With Being The Only Black Model & Neither Should Designers

We've been paying close attention to the lack of diversity within the fashion industry and while the number are getting better, it's not time to celebrate quite yet.

Supermodel Jourdan Dunn agrees and said as much in an interview in the latest issue of Miss Vogue.

"I don't know why people applaud designers for having just one ethnic model. It's not like only one type of woman loves fashion," The 23-year-old beauty told the glossy.

And this isn't the first time Jourdan has shared her grievances. The British bombshell, as well as her friends and fellow supermodels --Chanel Iman and Joan Smalls -- have been extremely vocal about their struggles and frustrations being brown girls in the fashion industry. From racist encounters with makeup artists to being turned away because of the color of their skin, there sadly isn't a shortage of these unfortunate stories.

"I find it weird when [model] agents say, 'You're the only black girl booked for the show. Isn't it great?' Why is it great?" she adds.

Thankfully, Dunn's concerns are being addressed by the Diversity Coalition's powerful campaign to solve fashion's diversity problem. Let's just hope things change soon.

Here's a look at Jourdan's cover for Miss Vogue's March 2014 issue.

It's tough enough prying ourselves from the warmth of our cozy duvet each morning. Also looking put-together and work-appropriate by 9 a.m.? Well, that's easier said than done. Maybe you're having one of those days when nothing looks good on you (totally not true and you know it), or perhaps you spent a little too much time sudsing up in the shower. A Definitive Ranking Of All The 'Brady Bunch' Kids

$

This Saturday, March 8, is the 40th anniversary of the day the original "Brady Bunch" left the air. Now there were plenty of spinoffs and TV movies that followed, but there is nothing like the original. In honor of this historic day we have taken the daunting task of ranking the Brady kids from least to most grooviest. Now throw on some bell bottoms and see where your favorite Brady kid landed on the list.

6. Bobby
Bobby, while cute and all, was the lamest member of the Brady household (and yes, we're including Tiger). Remember the time he tried to grow taller by hanging from the swingset? Or when he tried to wash his clothes and ended up flooding the laundry room? Ugh. Bobby might have been one of the smallest Bradys but he always seemed to complicate things the most.
tv show gifs

5. Cindy
The pigtails almost scored Cindy a higher ranking, but competition's tough, and when all the girls have "hair of gold" you gotta have more than a cute 'do to stand out. She had a lisp, loved Kitty Karry-All and the one time she gets her TV spotlight she freezes from stage fright. Also, she was a major tattle tale, which no one likes. Sorry, Cindy, you don't win this potato sack race.

tv show gifs

4. Peter
Peter Brady is the definition of a middle child, and with no real personality he unfortunately gets lost in the shuffle of all the other Brady kids. One saving grace is that he became pretty dreamy during his teen years though:

tv show gifs

3. Greg
Obviously the best Brady boy, Greg was the oldest of the kids and therefore got some of the better plots like learning to drive or dating girls. He also plays guitar, and surfs, which came in handy during the family's trip to Hawaii.

Plus he wears some of the grooviest outfits ever seen on '70s TV.

tv show gifs

2. Marcia
This was a tight race, but in the end Marcia had to be runner-up. While she is the prettiest and has the best hair, it's her obsession over her looks that is ultimately her downfall. She cried when she got braces and there's also the time she took a football in the face. Marcia believes looks count over everything, which is not the Brady way (at least according to Carol and Mike).

tv show gifs

1. Jan
Jan is clearly the best Brady kid in the household. She may not be the prettiest or the grooviest, but she had the best comebacks, the most sass, and gave a voice to middle children everywhere. Plus she had the best catch phrase ... and that wig!

McConaughey signs underneath the brim of the hat in black marker, ''Just Keep Living, Matthew McConaughey''. Resistol brand hat is made in Texas. Size 7 and 3/8 with a 4-inch brim. "Dallas Buyers Club" costume designers Kurt and Bart told Entertainment Weekly in February that they "worked with Stetson to get the period look for Matthew’s cowboy hats. Khloe Kardashian is not going to let $250,000 worth of missing jewels stand in her way of fun. The youngest Kardashian sister took half-sister Kendall and older sister Kourtney's boyfriend, Scott Disick, to a Rick Ross concert Friday, March 7.

The rapper performed a live concert in the courtyard of the Hollywood & Highland Center in Los Angeles.

Khloe enjoyed the warm L.A. weather and rocked a pair of Daisy Dukes and thigh-high boots at the event. She posted a photo to her Instagram account with Ross, writing: "Represent MMG Mastermind!!! @richforever #RevoltTV #Boss #Rozay."

Kendall did the same, writing: "hustlin' @richforever @letthelordbewithyou."

Just when we were starting to go through Michelle Obama withdrawal, the First Lady stepped out in the Sunshine State looking better than ever.

The Obamas are down in Southern Florida for a little vacation and a little work. President Barack Obama campaigned for better access to higher education at Coral Reef Senior High on Friday and will then spend the rest weekend at a secluded Key Largo resort with his family. Though POTUS was the one giving the speech, FLOTUS showed up her husband in a demure printed dress and a pair of kitten heels -- she always looks so put together.

Though we obviously loved Michelle's understated frock, we also couldn't help but notice her new blonde highlights, which are perfect for spring. Now if only spring would just get here already...
