Bobbi Kristina Fends Off Twitter Haters Criticizing Her Physique: 'I'm My Mother's Child'

Bobbi Kristina Brown is not about to let some Twitter haters get her down.

The 21-year-old daughter of Whitney Houston posted a photo of herself in a bikini to Twitter last week, only to be hit with a slew of nasty comments regarding her slim figure and general appearance.

But rather than let the hate get her down, Brown addressed her shamers head on. That same evening she tweeted:

Followed by:

And finally:

As the daughter of the late diva, Brown is all too familiar with harsh critics. Similarly, Houston herself was publicly berated for her slender physique in 2001.

After her mother's untimely death in 2012, Brown's lifestyle was slammed and her inheritance temporarily endangered.

This past January, she married her adopted brother Nick Gordon and got plenty of unsolicited feedback. "The critics can say whatever they want to say ... it's like we have a force field and that shit's just bouncing off of it," Gordon told Extra after their nuptials.

There's something about our grandparents' wedding photos that makes us yearn old-fashioned love -- the kind of love that meant just holding hands on a first date, handwritten letters (not texts), and sneaking kisses in your dad's Cadillac.

And we're not alone in that sentiment; we found 12 vintage photos posted by Redditors who are just as obsessed with the weddings of yesteryear as we are. Enjoy!

A Royal Fashion Faceoff At The Cheltenham Festival

Missing your fix of what the royals (and other festival-goers) are wearing for a day at the races? Lucky for us, it was "Ladies Day" today at the Cheltenham Festival, and we saw plenty of feathers and all-around fabulousness.

It's safe to say that we could do an entire post on Camilla Parker-Bowles' fur hat alone, but in fairness to everyone else in attendance, we've rounded up all of the noteworthy looks. Some did it right, some definitely got it wrong, but decide for yourself in the pics we snagged below.

A Thumbs Up For Camilla

The Duchess of Cornwall knows how to rock a fur hat that is both chic and subtle. Accessorizing with binoculars? So race-ready.

Princess Anne Loves Her Horses

the cheltenham festival ladies day

We all know Princess Anne is the royal that loves horses the most, so it makes plenty of sense that she decided to go ahead and put one on her hat.

Olympic Elegance

the cheltenham festival ladies day

As one of the Queen's grandchildren, we expected nothing less than understated elegance from Olympic equestrian Zara Phillips.

Best Bet? Black and White

the cheltenham festival ladies day

"Hahah, let's all laugh and talk about how we have color-coordinated hats!"

Feathers and Fur

the cheltenham festival ladies day

This feathery head piece is the sort of intricate and ornate design that we would expect from an English horserace.

Twisted Measure

the cheltenham festival ladies day

It's pink, it's navy, it's everywhere, but somehow it works. Maybe it's this festival-goers confidence, but we've got to hand it to her, she looks amazing.

What's On Your Head?

the cheltenham festival ladies day

We're not so sure if this is a hat or a headband, but either way, it's just plain odd.

G'day Mates!

the cheltenham festival ladies day

The look on the left might've been inspired by "Crocodile Dundee." Just sayin'.

We're ... Confused

the cheltenham festival ladies day

We're all for taking fashion risks, but this hat is definitely a fashion don't.

Going Without A Hat?

Wearing a hat to Cheltenham is very traditional, so we'd rather see more of these ladies with fancy headwear to compliment their outfits.

Underwear Company Offers Penis Insurance

A Montreal-based underwear company has a cockeyed way of getting publicity: By offering a $50,000 penis insurance policy to its male customers.

Sorry ladies, no genitalia coverage for you.

Starting March 15, men who purchase three or more pairs of UNDZ underwear via the company website will get a Lloyd's Of London insurance policy to be paid out if their sex organ becomes detached from their body.

“A man can get insurance for his car, dog, house, land and life but not for his penis? Well, I thought that was absurd,” UNDZ founder Bernard Dore said in a press release. “UNDZ is making it possible for men all over the world to protect their most important asset and we are excited to have the backing of one of the most prominent insurance companies in the world.”

The nether regions of 16,000 men are injured or detached each year, an UNDZ spokeswoman told The Huffington Post.

"I got that from Google," the spokeswoman said.

Take heed of the restrictions before trying to get rich painfully quick.

Sex-change operations and other cases where the appendage is removed surgically are not covered by the insurance.

Also, policy holders cannot have close friends or lovers slice them up a la John Wayne Bobbitt.

"This is to prevent people from intentionally removing the penis," the spokeswoman explained to The Huffington Post.

Lloyds Of London has insured penises before, most notably, rock singer David Lee Roth, who told HuffPost Live about the experience last March.

In order to arouse interest in the product, the company has made a NSFW promotional video and, according to a company official, insured the appendages of Anderson Cooper, Conan O'Brian, Emeril Lagasse and Justin Bieber.

A Sympathetic Store Owner Turned To Facebook To Help Plus-Size Teen Find Prom Dress

When Kristen Harris, owner of the clothing store, Designer Diva Consignment Boutique, heard a teen crying in the dressing room, she knew she had to take action, CBS Boston reported.

The consignment boutique in Abington, Mass., just opened in February, so the selection of sizes was still quite limited. One teen, who has remained anonymous, came to the store looking for a size 22 prom dress, but she was disappointed and frustrated to find no dresses in her size.

"There should have been something there for her," Harris told the outlet. "There should be something everywhere for everybody."

So, Harris decided turn to Facebook to help the teen find a prom dress:

The response has been overwhelming. Several people wrote back with offers to donate formal dresses they don't wear anymore, according to WHDH, and local business owners offered everything from free corsages and jewelry to hair salon services.

On Monday, Harris finally got in touch with the teen, and plans to have her come in next week for a private fitting, according to her boutique's Facebook page.

Harris also added another comment to Facebook, writing:

P.S. while I have all your attention can I do a shout out to all the plus size ladies ... please consider bringing your clothes in to consign. I don't want anyone of any size ever walking in my store and feeling this way again. I want something there for everyone!! Thank you

There's probably nothing that makes a new mom feel better than to fit into her 16-year-old sister's teeny bikini ...

Yup, Kim Kardashian, who welcomed her daughter North last June, posted some sexy bikini selfies on her Instagram account Wednesday, March 12, revealing that she borrowed her little sister Kylie's black two-piece.

"Quick swim before the Dash party!" the 33-year-old wrote along with the first photo, sharing another snapshot shortly after with the caption, "Yep stole Kylie's bikini...she's not getting it back."

Kylie rocked the cut-out bikini earlier in the day, posting photos of herself at the Versace Mansion, where her family is staying in Miami. The Kardashian clan is celebrating the grand opening of their new DASH boutique on Collins Avenue.

Obviously, the family that shares swimsuits, stays together.

Totes and clutches will always have a special place in our hearts, but, let’s be honest, sometimes they’re a handful. And, with spring right around the corner, that’s just not going to cut it as you run between sidewalk brunches, flea markets, and those other awesome outdoor activities. But, don’t worry -- the ever-reliable crossbody is here to solve your carryall conundrums.

"Saved by the Bell" had a lot of influence over children in the '90s, so why not try and use them to encourage kids to exercise. Olivia Newton John got us through the '80s, but it was time for a new generation. Buzzfeed gathered some publicity photos from the show that proved how important exercise was to the kids of Bayside High.

Perhaps even more important, though, was looking cool. And with the exercise fashions on display in these pics, we'd have to say they ... succeeded?

Check out the full collection over at Buzzfeed.

And watch the "Bell" girls in action -- wearing their awesome fitness clothes -- in their music video that will inspire and horrify at the same time.

She may have been joking around on stage with Kermit the Frog and General Dempsey, but there was nothing silly about Michelle Obama's outfit choice in Washington on Wednesday night.

FLOTUS joined military families for a special screening of "Muppets Most Wanted," and looked absolutely radiant in a black-and-white patterned Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress.

The dress went perfectly with Michelle's new hair, and gave us all hope that spring really is just around the corner.

What do you think of her movie night look?

The Kardashians have been heating things up in Miami with teeny bikinis, sexy style, and a near takeover of the famed Versace mansion.

After squeezing into her 16-year-old sister Kylie's bikini, Kim Kardashian hit up the grand opening of DASH in Miami Beach on Wednesday, March 12, in a see-through crop top and matching pencil skirt made out of what appears to be chain mail (or some other metallic material).

Also in attendance were the 33-year-old's sisters Kourtney and Khloe, who looked particularly amazing in a curve-hugging black dress with a plunging neckline.

Not only can you buy statement tees and slouchy cardigans at Forever 21, you can now shop their full makeup collection.

Looking at the packaging, we assumed this was a new high-end brand, but we were pleasantly surprised to see the store's name written across the black cases. Since we didn't really know what to expect, we decided to test it out. From cheek stains to intense gel liner, see what we had to say about the Forever 21 makeup collection.

Eye Matte Eyeshadow In Aubergine 513, Fashion Editor Michelle Persad

eyeshadow f21

Was it easy to apply? It is very easy to apply, it went on nice and smooth.
What did it feel like? It felt quite light, so it took a little more than usual to get a deep color.
How does it compare to pricier or more affordable products? It didn't feel like a cheap product. The packaging was nice and the eyeshadow itself felt like a good quality. The only thing that made it feel as though it was from Forever 21 was how thin it was when I applied it.
Did it last all day? Yes, it lasted all day. In fact, it was kind of tough to get off at the end of the day, it required a little scrubbing.
Would you recommend to a friend? I would recommend the eyeshadow to a friend, though I really didn't like the shimmer in this particular one, however a more matte color would have been great.

Lip & Cheek Stain in Peachy Cheeks, Lifestyle Editor Rebecca Adams

lip cheek look

Was it easy to apply? Since it's a liquid, it's not such a great way to apply blush -- once it touches your cheek, it doesn't budge. So the color came out a bit uneven. It was easy to apply on my lips, though.
What did it feel like? It was a bit drying on my lips.
How does it compare to pricier or more affordable products? I would say that it's a cheaper version of Benefit Cosmetics Benetint lip and cheek stain (which I'm not a fan of, either).
Did it last all day? It lasted about an hour or so.
Would you recommend to a friend? No
Additional feedback? I would suggest that someone buy a separate blush and lip color, rather than trying to get a 2-in-1.

Creamy Lipstick in Bisou, Style Fellow Jamie Feldman

red lipstick f21

Was it easy to apply? Yes, the lipstick actually went on much smoother than I thought it would, which made me nervous that it would come off easily
What did it feel like? It was creamy -- very easy to apply evenly.
How does it compare to pricier or more affordable products? It was easier to apply than the red sephora lipstick I have but did not feel quite as nice as a Dior red I usually use. After a few hours it left my lips feeling kind of dry and chapped.
Did it last all day? It did -- it kind of faded a bit but never came completely off even after eating and drinking.
Would you recommend to a friend? Yes, I would recommend, but not for everyday. It's definitely for a night out.
Additional feedback: I liked this lipstick, but again, I did feel it made my lips a little chapped. However, it was very cold out that day, so I believe it's nothing a little pre-ChapStick application couldn't have fixed.

Creamy Lipstick in Nude and Gel Eyeliner in Black, Associate Editor Megan Mayer

lip gel liner

Gel Liner
Was it easy to apply? I applied a simple black winged liner just on top. It required more than one attempt with various brushes.
What did it feel like? Once I applied with a short angled eyeliner brush, the liner went on smoothly and precisely.
Does it last all day? Because of the gel, it lasted all day -- if you were to wear this at night as well, I would recommend touching it up.
Would you recommend to a friend? I would definitely recommend to a friend!

Nude Lipstick
What did it feel like? The lipstick was a bit pink for my liking, but it was the perfect (soft) pop of color for my gothic ensemble.
Does it last all day? I had to reapply twice throughout the day, so a total of three times.

Though many may not have known his name, they likely knew his voice. Douglas was known as one of the best voice-over talents in the industry, along with Don Morrow, 87, who voiced the "Titanic" trailer, and Don LaFontaine, who died in 2008.

It was Douglas' dramatic baritone behind trailers for films such as "Philadelphia," "Forrest Gump," "Meet the Parents," "Lethal Weapon," and many more, according to TMZ.

Douglas is survived by his wife, Ruth Francis Douglas, their daughter, Sarah, and two sons from a previous marriage, Jeremy and Jon. Douglas died on Friday, March 7, in his home in Lovettsville, Va., according to the Times.

Banksy Is #WithSyria -- Are You? (VIDEO)

By Mary Alice Stephenson

Banksy, Idris Elba, Cristiano Ronaldo and Elbow are just some of the stars who are supporting the #WithSyria campaign that will see thousands of people across the world, from Moscow to Washington, standing together in a global vigil to mark the third anniversary of the crisis in Syria on Thursday, March 13.

"#WithSyria," a stunning animated film, will be shown around the world, from an inflatable cinema in Za’atari Refugee camp in Jordan to the big screen in Times Square, and iconic locations will be bathed in light by candlelit vigils, a Banksy light projection of his famed "girl with a red balloon" -- which he has redesigned to feature a young Syrian refugee -- and the release of red balloons carrying messages of hope to Syrians.

The #WithSyria coalition is made up of 120 humanitarian and human rights groups from 24 countries, including Save the Children, Oxfam, Amnesty International, Hand in Hand for Syria and the International Rescue Committee. The campaign is calling for urgent action to ensure Syrians in need –- including civilians in areas under siege -- can access aid and for the voices of ordinary Syrians to be heard and heeded in reconvened peace talks.

“Syria is enduring simultaneously both an exodus and a collapse. We are witnessing a war without law that's taking us back to the dark ages,” said David Miliband, CEO of the International Rescue Committee, said in a press release. “Some 9.3 million Syrians require humanitarian aid, more than the entire population of New York. The anniversary of the conflict is the moment to show that we can turn the tide of this terrible tragedy. As a first step, the United Nations has agreed a Resolution on humanitarian access must be implemented immediately.”

Actor Idris Elba was also quoted in the release saying, "It was important for me to support and lend my voice to this stunning animation that alongside Banksy’s new piece is part of the #WithSyria campaign. Ordinary Syrian civilians continue to pay the heaviest price in a conflict that has already wrecked millions of lives. Let's stand with Syria today."

"The response to this biggest humanitarian crisis of recent times is drastically underfunded and there is no end of the conflict in sight," added Wolfgang Gressmann, CARE's Deputy Director for Syria Response. "Giving up on Syria cannot be an option.”

Honey Boo Boo's Mama June Thinks She Has A Lot In Common With Kim Kardashian

Come Thursday night, March 13, the Thompson family will look a little different on the new episode of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." In fact, they'll look a bit too much like a different reality show family: the Kardashians. Or, as Pumpkin excitedly remarked, "more like the Kartrashians"…

In the "Halloween Too" episode, each member of Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson's family has taken on the style and attitude of a member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan. Honey Boo Boo is Kris Jenner, of course, and Mama June attempts a voluptuous version of Kim.

Dressing up really seems to make Mama June contemplate her character, as she dwells on her similarities to Kim Kardashian. "Me and Kim are similar, uh, because we have kids out of wedlock. We both got big asses, but Kim ain't got shit on this, baby," she said. "This is the bigger version, bigger and better."

Eight–year–old Honey Boo Boo demonstrates some familiarity with "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," explaining her role as matriarch Kris Jenner. "My job, today, is to boss folks around!" she said.

If being bossy and highlighting your curves is all it takes to be a Kardashian, we agree with Mama June that the Thompsons "make the Kardashians look good!"

"Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" airs Thursday at 9 p.m. EDT on TLC.

Emma Watson Reveals Why She's Jealous Of Other Actresses To Elle Magazine

Emma Watson looks simply gorgeous on the cover of the April 2014 issue of Elle.

Decked out in the designer version of what is still a Canadian tuxedo, Watson somehow manages to make an overwhelming denim ensemble look chic.

The 23-year-old actress, who stars in the upcoming film "Noah," has spent more than half her life working in Hollywood. She was able to successfully transition from her "Harry Potter" days as a child star, though she's often envious of those whose careers have taken off more recently.

"There are all these actresses who have emerged in the last year or two, and they get to emerge as this complete human being. And I'm so jealous!" she told Elle.

Similarly, Watson, who has attended both Brown University and Oxford University, told the magazine that having a life beyond the entertainment industry was always a priority.

"I remember reading this thing that Elizabeth Taylor wrote. She had her first kiss in character. On a movie set. It really struck me," she said. "I don’t know how or why, but I had this sense that if I wasn’t really careful, that could be me: that my first kiss could be in somebody else’s clothes. And my experiences could all belong to someone else."

Joan Smalls Transformed Into Our Favorite Disney Princesses Is The Best Thing We've Seen All Day

We've seen Disney princesses transformed into everything from famous feminists to hipsters. However, it's CR Fashion Book's latest high-fashion and modern twist on the classic beauties that has truly stolen our hearts.

The glossy's Spring 2014 issue stars supermodel Joan Smalls depicting the holy trinity of Disney princesses -- Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White -- in a feature entitled “Lee Daniels Fairy Tale Theater: One Girl’s Nightmare in Three Acts." Although the Oscar-nominated director, writer and producer, known for his films "Precious" and "The Butler," is an unconventional pick to shoot the editorial, his stunning photographs and imaginative storytelling shows he's right at home in the world of fashion.

Daniels' renditions of the fairy tales are set in New York City, where we find Smalls draped in designer duds remixing the stories we love. As Snow White, she is the "fairest girl in all of Brooklyn," as Cinderella there's no horse drawn carriage to the ball -- instead she takes a Cadillac to the club. And as Sleeping Beauty only "the finest man's kiss" can awaken her -- which happens to be played by actor Michael B. Jordan.

In short, the feature is amazing! Check out a few of our favorite photos.

3 Reasons Why We're Loving Sephora's Beauty Board

$

0
Sephora has launched their new social shopping experience, Beauty Board, where customers can upload and view pictures of real people wearing products from the online shop's wide selection.

Like our favorite social sites, consumers can see selfies tagged with cosmetics used in user-generated makeup and hair looks. "Our beauty lovers are gathering and sharing beauty tips across a variety of social properties like Instagram and Pinterest, as well as our blog and beauty community site," said Julie Bornstein, EVP, Chief Marketing and Digital Officer at Sephora in a press release. She adds, "We took what we admire as social users to the next level by developing and integrating our newest social site, Beauty Board, into our Sephora.com experience."

With the addition of this new feature, it would appear as if Sephora may be on to something, and here are three reasons why we're excited for this experimental adventure.

1. All of our needs will be in one place.

Although avid beauty junkies probably scour Reddit and Makeup Alley to find product reviews with pictures, having them available on the actual shoppable site provides amateurs with one, easy space. But don't think we're letting up on Makeup Addiction just yet...

product review beauty board

2. You can pinpoint whatever it is you want.

You can filter through the site by trends and keywords, which is awesome when you need to narrow down exactly what you want and need to see before you buy, like a new CC cream, perhaps?

3. This is a pleasant break from Pinterest.

Okay, so sometimes we get sick of scrolling down our Pinterest feed (Ha, just kidding), but it's exciting to see other sites adopting the great Pinterest aesthetic. So three cheers to more nail art, transcendent eye looks and complicated, yet strangely easy braid styles.
