My First Time (at Shape House L.A., That Is)

$

You know the movie Country Strong where Goop tells Blair Waldorf to "Just fall in love with as many things as possible"? Well, since I obviously take advice from movies seriously, ever since that dramatic scene, I've done so by falling head over heels for Asheville North Carolina, Jimmy Johns, Skype, Tory Burch ballet flats, SoulCycle, Malibu, champagne, Vampire Weekend and soy lattes, to name a few. Last night, I fell in love (with a venue) again, after trying Shape House.

Here's how my experience went:

Friday night I ordered takeout and housed it. Like, it was gone in eleven seconds. Saturday morning I felt disgusting, even after working out. Shape House came up, so I decided to make an appointment.

Wednesday night, I drove to Larchmont, and since L.A. traffic is more unpredictable than what time I wake up on Sunday morning, I got there pretty early. The girl at the front was super sweet about answering all of my questions, even "What happens if I pass out or have a heart attack and die?" and gave me the total run-down of what to expect. She even agreed to walk outside with me to take a picture because "an urban sweat" made me laugh out loud, although I didn't tell her that.

After filling out the paperwork, I went to the bathroom to change. They offer you clothes to borrow, but I am way too OCD for that, so I brought my own. They tell you to bring long-sleeves, long pants and socks, so basically I was a walking SoulCycle advertisement. Once dressed, they take you to your bed and show you where your fancy water and call button are. After you lay down in the bed, the receptionist wraps you in the heated sleeping bag (I don't think that's the technical term, but that's what it is) and cranks it up. Then, she gives you a remote and headphones, and you can select from movies, TV or music. But the coolest part is that it's any kind of movies, TV or music you want -- Netflix, HBO, Hulu, they even had all of the Oscar best pic noms available (although, never in my life will I lay in a hot sleeping bag for three hours, so it's kind of a tease).

They tell you that the first twenty minutes is easy, which for me was true, and then holy shit. After twenty minutes, the sweat starts to pour. Like, all over your face, your neck, your back (enter dirty 90s song lyrics). The good thing is that at the twenty minute mark, someone brings you a cold washcloth. She recommended I put it around the back of my neck, so I did and it was lovely. For about ten seconds.

They warn you that after the first twenty minutes, the parts that are pushing hardest against the bed are the parts that will get the hottest. It's noticeable, but not painful. They also let you know that it's likely your heartbeat will speed, which it did, but it didn't last long -- it felt like the reaction to an intense five minutes of cardio.

At forty minutes, she came back with another washcloth and to check in. At this point, I'm drenched, and I know I have makeup all over my face and that I'm probably bright red. My hands are feeling asleep, or tingly, or something which was a little nerve-wracking, but I just took my arms out of the hot sleeping bag so I didn't die. Also, with my luck, the time she checks in happens to also be during a lesbian sex scene on the episode of Orange Is the New Black I chose to watch.

At forty-three minutes (I paused the episode to see how long I'd been in there) I was ready to get out, but I can't tell you if that's because I was uncomfortable with the heat, or because I was starting to feel super gross sweating so profusely in clothing and a hot sleeping bag with no breathing room.

At fifty-five minutes, the receptionist came to get me. She asked if I wanted to go to the bathroom or the relaxation room first. I said bathroom, because I needed to wash my face immediately. My hands were still a little funky, and it was hard to pick up my cell phone (which I clearly kept out) but that went away pretty quickly. I washed my face, took a few selfies, some snapchats, laughed at the Insta comments, and then went out to the relaxation room.

In the relaxation room, there was another young (late twenties is still young, duh) woman, so she and I started to talk about our experience and (what else, we're in L.A.) where we work out. The receptionist brought in water, orange slices, hot tea and a cold towel. I hung out in there for probably twenty minutes, changed my clothes and checked out. I was given a 20 percent discount because I follow them on Twitter.

When I got in my car, and all night, I felt super zenned out and calm. I took a shower when I got home, and when I went to watch TV, I lasted about fifteen minutes (that's what he said) before I got up to go to bed. I had an incredible night's sleep and when I woke up this morning, I still felt great. And, I'm having an amazing hair day, in case you were wondering.

Although there were a few times I was uncomfortable, I am satisfied overall and can't wait to go back.

Victoria Beckham Says She's a Team Player

"Fashion is a hobby that has done really, really well for me," Victoria Beckham said to a crowd of 850 Parsons students eager to learn and hoping to break into the world of fashion. Seated in the recently opened New School building designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill's Roger Duffy, a 375,000 square-foot space devoted to teaching kids fashion, which she had just called a hobby.

2014-02-21-8323429033_8b2831169d_z.jpg

I knew little about Victoria Beckham before attending the recent talk with Simon Collins, the dean of fashion at Parsons The New School for Design. In summary, here's what I knew: She's married to David Beckham. She has four children, three sons and a daughter. She wears a size zero (probably). She doesn't smile; she smolders.

The buzz in the long line zigzagging through the lobby was high. Outside it was twenty degrees, but inside it was Fashion Week. Parsons students undulated from the line wearing black pants, big-heeled shoes, wide-brimmed hats and giant swaths of eyeliner. The boys dressed like girls, and the girls dressed like boys. I admired a pair of oil-slick colored Doc Martens. I asked if they were good in the snow. The girls in front of me were from a sprinkling of majors: photography, design, business and, for good measure, undecided.

An enigma of sorts, Beckham's had a unique career: Spice Girl, author, fashion designer and icon, if not to me then to the hundreds I queued up with. Just being a working mother of four was a huge accomplishment.

Inside the vast auditorium we found places among the rows of red leather seats, and waited. I sat next to an eighteen-year-old girl whose major was also undecided. She told me she lived in the building. I wondered what that was like: attending a school on 5th Avenue, and living on 5th Avenue. Could one go to class in their pajamas? Perhaps, as long as you accessorized it right.

Beckham walked onto the stage in black leather spiked heels and loose but slim pants that ended in a tapered hug. Her wisp of a body looked like it might snap off at the ankles. She looked like no 40-year old mother that I knew.

2014-02-21-12678714674_12bbed6483_z.jpg

"What's your first fashion memory?" asked Simon Collins.

Beckham's response wasn't one that might have been shared by the crowd, but I wanted to leap up and shout, "Me too!" It was of her mom in the eighties, with big hair, big shoulder pads and gobs of makeup. "I collected fashion mags," she said, sweeping her long brown hair to the side, like one half of a parentheses, which she did often throughout the conversation, like a nervous high schooler talking to a boy she liked.

Did she have any advice for the students? Collins wanted to know. "Work for other people," she replied, urging the students not to start up their own business right away. Anything else? Beckham noted she surrounded herself with the right people. She said both of these things several times. She also told us that she wasn't a prima donna. If you're not a prima donna, do you have to say you're not a prima donna? I looked around for a prima donna to ask, but didn't see any raising their hands.

Beckham proffered no stories, just statements. Collins' questions were quickly responded to in short sound bites and then lobbed back, like a quick game of tetherball.

When Beckham mentioned she had brought her children to New York this year, so they could see "Mummy at work," I wrongly assumed we'd finally get to the emotional heart of her story, her kids. I waited for the stories where models wearing little clothing ran into her tousle-headed tykes. "David took care of them," she told the audience. I wondered how they saw Mummy at work if David was taking care of them. I wondered if they had a nanny. I wondered what they talked about at the dinner table.

She mentioned Sheryl Sandberg and her book, Lean In with admiration, and, perhaps, a wee bit of comparison to Sandberg's strong work ethic and business success. Later, when asked by a student if she was a feminist she said, "No, I wouldn't say feminism, but I support women." There were challenges mentioned, but none elaborated on. If mistakes were made when she first launched her company we didn't hear of them, probably because Marc Jacobs, her friend, provided business advice. We should all be so lucky.

We all have friends like her, those that never complain or tell you anything bad. Job is great. Marriage is wonderful. Everything is fine. Fine. I never believe anyone that tells me something is fine. I just assume it means they don't want to talk about it and I can accept a person's choice to not go deeper. (Even though I'm from California and going deep is my natural state.) However when you're a public figure, speaking to almost 1,000 fresh new minds, you should be prepared to enthrall and engage.

Thirty minutes after the conversation, Collins looked to the audience for help. "Let's have some questions," he implored the crowd.

One student asked Beckham where she got her inspiration. She looked overwhelmed, like she didn't know what to say. Finally she threw out a word: "Art," she said. "I love Julian Schnabel." Another student asked her if she was inspired by music. "No. Music doesn't inspire fashion like it once did."

Music doesn't inspire fashion? I wonder what Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga or Madonna would say to that. Doesn't she even listen to music? When Collins made a few light jabs at Spice Girls lyrics, Beckham quickly pushed them off. Music, which launched her career, was now the unwanted stepsister.

"What was the inspiration for your signature dress," asked a student, referring to the now iconic, slim fitting dress with the zipper down the back. "I couldn't find what I was looking for," she replied, "So I decided to make my own." I was curious how she launched her first collection and wondered how she had the courage to put her creative work out in front of such a demanding audience. I wanted to ask Beckham what she thought of the recent partnership between Sheryl Sandberg and Getty Images, an announcement just that morning that they were going to focus on featuring more realistic images of working women in stock photography, but I couldn't bare the idea of her not understanding or giving me a one-word answer.

At the end of the conversation, which was scheduled for ninety minutes but lasted less than sixty, I knew two things for certain: She was a terrible driver and she had gone to boot camp class that morning at 8 a.m. It was a confession that came at the end, and it was the first truly real moment.

The entirety of the conversation felt like a string of sports quotes: I feel good. I had great focus. I have a strong work ethic. It's all about my team. I learned nothing substantive about Victoria Beckham.

This morning I discovered she has almost 1.7 million Instagram followers. I learned little from her feed, but her number of followers was staggering. If she wanted to influence women in a positive way, she could do it with one click of her iPhone. I did an internet search and found one lone article, on Women's Wear Daily, announcing her first shop, set to open this year in London. I couldn't read the article because it was behind a pay wall. That left me with Wikipedia, items I will take as truths, but that I have not researched to confirm.

Wikipedia Fact 1: In an interview with a Spanish paper Beckham was quoted as saying she had never read a book in her life. She attempted to unravel this damaging quote with a follow up, saying she actually never had time to finish reading a book because she was always too busy looking after her children.

Perhaps Lean In was the first book she finished, or maybe she just admired the back cover?

Wikipedia Fact 2: Despite original plans for six episodes, her reality show, Victoria Beckham: Coming to America, was cut to a one hour special as there "just wasn't enough (material) for a series."

As an alumnus of the New School, I had eagerly accepted my invitation to the event. I was curious and intrigued. Victoria Beckham had changed her career numerous times, as had I. Throughout the conversation, as dozens of students picked up their bags and left early, I wondered why this woman is where she is today. Does she have talent? Is it her looks? Her husband? Or was she just lucky? I wanted her to be more than a paper doll cutout. I guess the final thing I should take as fact is that this woman has one damn fine team in place helping her stay on top.

Heidi Klum And Seal Are Not Getting Back Together, Singer's Rep Says

We hate to break your hearts again, but Seal and Heidi Klum are not getting back together, despite any recent reconciliation rumors you may have heard.

Seal's rep put the reports of a reunion to rest this week, telling E! News that the singer and the supermodel have not rekindled their romance in the wake of Klum's recent breakup with bodyguard boyfriend, Martin Kristen.

"Seal and Heidi have not reunited as a couple," Seal's rep told the site. "Their children will always be their priority, and their focus remains on co-parenting."

We can't say we're not disappointed. Considering how awesome their annual vowel renewal ceremonies were (their white trash wedding in 2009 is our personal favorite), that remarriage ceremony would have been a sight to behold.

The German supermodel, 40, and the 51-year-old singer were married for seven years before announcing their separation in January 2012. During the course of their marriage, Seal adopted Klum's daughter Leni, and together they had three more children: sons Henry and Johan and daughter Lou.

"While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate," the estranged couple said in a joint statement at the time of the split.

Jennifer Lawrence Requests Stair-Friendly Dress For The Oscars

Jennifer Lawrence has a love-hate relationship with her 2013 Oscars dress.

Although the voluminous Christian Dior creation was a red carpet hit, it did cause Lawrence a lot of trouble as she took to the stage to accept an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in "Silver Linings Playbook." The now 23-year-old tripped on the staircase in a moment that she deemed "embarrassing." But luckily for her, the crowd full of A-listers stood up and cheered to help wash all her nerves away.

"You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell and that's really embarrassing, but thank you," she told the audience in her speech.

jennifer lawrence fall

In a video shot for the new Miss Dior campaign ads, Miss Dior herself requested that the fashion house provide a dress that is stair-friendly, as to prevent another fall. Lawrence says, “I obviously have very special memories of the dress I wore to the Oscars Some fun, some not. They need to make it more accessible for stairs, in my opinion."

Obviously, JLaw will make sure to choose a dress that won't trip her up at this year's Oscars, just in case she takes home the Best Supporting Actress honor for her role in "American Hustle."

"It feels nice when you’re dressed in something beautiful and you feel beautiful," she explains in the Dior clip. "When you’re wearing an outfit that you’re really proud of or a dress that you feel really good in, it can be fun, and therefore make you happier.”

Kendall and Kylie Jenner have made a lot of headlines the past couple of weeks. With Kendall's recent ventures down the runway, and the pair's new Steve Madden collection, these girls are working the style circuit -- ALL around the world.

So we weren't surprised to see that the Jenner sisters posed for the cover of Marie Claire Mexico, with sleek black hair, popping red lips and baroque-like floral outfits for the March 2014 issue. Throughout the feature, they discuss their different career directions -- Kendall in modeling and Kylie in acting or designing -- and talk about their very public lives. As Kylie admits that she "can't imagine" life without "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," the girls say they consider their audience when presenting themselves.

"Sometimes we have to take a step back and realize that with the opportunities we have, we also have a lot of power to change things," says Kylie. "Sometimes we can complain about the paparazzi and about being so public, but I think we have realized that there is just so much that we could do and that we definitely wanna pursue."

Between the sisters' gorgeous cover and rumors of sister Kim Kardashian appearing on the cover of Vogue, we're now taking bets as to which reality sibling will land the coveted spot first.

Britney Spears is a redhead now, y'all.

Spears debuted fiery red locks on stage at her "Piece of Me" show in Las Vegas on Wednesday (Feb. 19), Us Weekly noted. She also sported the red hair for a meet-and-greet with fans.

This is the second hair change-up in just over a week for the superstar songstress. On Feb. 9, she debuted her brunette 'do in a photo on Instagram. Prior to that, she had been rocking bright blond locks.

It's not the first time Spears has gone red. The 32-year-old wore red wigs in the music videos for both "Womanizer" and "Toxic."

Oscar Losers Gift Bag Generously Includes Vaginal 'Rejuvenation' Shots

As far as the Academy is concerned, one woman's loss is a win for her vagina. One item in the Oscar nominee gift bag promises to "rejuvenate genital tissue," and it's not the meet and greet with Boyz II Men.

According to U.S. Weekly, losing nominees in the Best Actress/Best Actor category "will receive the O-Shot procedure, which supposedly 'rejuvenates and enhances the genital tissue of a woman.' The $2,700 procedure is said to enhance sexual response and slow urinary incontinence." Well, if that's not a silver lining...

There's no indication this particular piece of swag is withheld from male nominees. We'd recommend not re-gifting this one, guys.

We really hope some of the ladies who are in the running to receive these gift bags chime in on this issue. We suspect that J-Law and Helen Mirren would have some hilarious things to say on the matter.

'We Are All Barbie Girls' Illustrations By Colleen Clark Show What It Would Look Like If Dolls Represented All Women

How great would it be if Barbie came in all dress sizes, body shapes and ethnicities?

That's what student and illustrator Colleen Clark thought when she was approached by Marie Claire South Africa to illustrate what a "feminist" Barbie might look like. For Clark, that meant an inclusive line-up of dolls that could represent every woman.

"I was very inspired by the idea that feminism is as simple as accepting others and yourself unconditionally," Clark told The Huffington Post in an email. "I wanted to make the point that 'Feminist Barbie' wouldn't have just one look, style, or culture to her, because feminism should include everyone."

Though Barbie is in some ways a good role model for children -- as Charlotte Alter at TIME pointed out, she's had around 150 different careers -- the doll's ridiculous proportions are potentially harmful to girls' body image.

"I think that our continuous discussion of Barbie’s influence on girls has made her more diverse than ever, and hopefully it will only get better from here," Clark told HuffPost.

Whitney Port Dishes On Wedding Planning And Her Fiancé

Lover.ly -- search, save, shop and share wedding ideas in one place.

It's going to be a "bohemian desert" wedding for Whitney Port!

The designer and star of MTV's "The City" got engaged to Tim Rosenman, who was an associate producer on her show, in November 2013 and kicked off her wedding planning in Los Angeles recently with a bridal luncheon hosted by Wedding Paper Divas. Port announced that she'll be collaborating with the stationery brand on an invitation suite, due out later this year. In attendance at the luncheon were Port and Rosenman, along with Port's sister, Ashley, co-founder of BK Events, who is planning Port and Rosenman's wedding.

Wedding Paper Divas Presents "Whitney Port's Love Story"

I had a chance to sit down with Port and get the inside scoop on her relationship and all things wedding.

Stephanie Hallett
: How would you describe your fiancé in three words?

Whitney Port: Comfortable, patient, and funny.

Wedding Paper Divas Presents "Whitney Port's Love Story"

SH: What's the sweetest thing he has ever done for you?

WP: I feel like he does sweet things for me every day. My father passed away this past year and just the way that [Tim] has been there for me and been patient with me has probably been the most special thing to me.

SH: What's one thing that no one knows about your relationship?

WP: We're really, really low key, we're homebodies, we don't really like to do much. Our favorite nights are the nights when we don't really have any plans and we can just cook each other dinner and hang out.

SH: Are you keeping your name after marriage?

WP: I'm going to keep Port and add Rosenman.

SH: How's wedding planning going?

WP: It’s going well! The first couple months of being engaged were really just enjoying that and not thinking too much about it. Once the new year hit I was like, OK, I want to start [planning]. We're 95 percent sure on a location and other than that there's not much else that I've planned. I have my secret Pinterest board where you can see my inspiration, but I haven't gone too far into anything else.

Wedding Paper Divas Presents "Whitney Port's Love Story"

SH: I read that you're designing your own wedding dress.

WP: I'm hoping to! I feel like I want the experience of trying on dresses and seeing what works for me, and I feel like that's such the classic, typical, fun moment when everyone sees you in your gown. But I'm so particular, and obviously I design clothes for a living, so I feel like it would be a fun process for me to design exactly what I know works well on me. So I'm hoping to do that unless for some reason I find a dress that I love.

SH: Do you have a style or something in mind that you know you like?

WP: I know for me comfort is key; at my wedding I want to have fun, I want to dance, I want to not feel like my dress is restricting me from anything, so something definitely more streamlined.

SH: What's your best advice for brides who are stressed out by wedding planning?

WP: I think at the end of the day they just have to remember what they're doing this for. There's obviously a huge light at the end of the tunnel and they've just got to get their priorities in order.

Get Celeb-Shaped Brows

By Cindy Pearlman, Hollywood Insider for KnowMore.tv

You've just taken the most gorgeous photo. Are you going to place it on the wall with a thumbtack or highlight it in a beautiful wood frame? Hollywood beauty expert Damone Roberts thinks of eyebrows in the same way. Getting your brows done professionally is like getting a mini face-lift. "They're your single most important feature after 40," he says. "When shaped correctly, they add balance and structure to your face."

Get great brows like Beyonce

KnowMore.tv sat down with Hollywood's eyebrow king and asked him how we can get perfect brows like some of his star clients, such as Madonna, Alicia Keys, and Beyoncé, without too much fuss.

Q: Are thick or thinner brows in this season?
A
: "The thicker the brow, the younger the look. A thinner brow makes you look older and sinister. Look at Cinderella and her stepsisters. Cinderella has the thick brows and the evil stepsisters have the thinner brows.Thin brows post 40 make you look extreme and older."

Q: I've always heard you should never wax your brows because it causes the skin to crepe and look older. Truth or beauty myth?
A
: "Myth! This is an old wives tale. Waxing is one quick pull. If you have a pro pluck your brows you're constantly pulling at that area, which is more wear and tear. The truth is nothing will make your skin sag if your skin isn't sagging in the first place.Sagging skin will still sag, waxing or plucking.

Q: Let's say you've messed up your brows from over-plucking and now they're thin. Help!
A
: "My biggest selling product is my Brow Gain. Apply it nightly on your brows and it will do a little tap dance on your follicles and really bring them back to life. The product is filled with liquid biotin and takes about six to eight weeks for results. People tell me they hadn't seen growth in 20 years and this has brought them back."

Q: What about using a pencil to fill in sparse brows? We've all seen that woman who looks like our old Aunt Gertie who used to have pencil all over her forehead.
A
: "Pencil can be tricky. If you have the right shape, it's easier to use the pencil. I tell women to start by applying the pencil in the center of the brow because where you start it's darker. Remember to go softer at the beginning and ending. No one has dark brows on the ends. Go softer."

Q: Any makeup mistakes you see women making that you would like to correct?
A
: "You shouldn't use as heavy of makeup as when you were younger. Don't use too much powder or concealer as you mature. That cake-y look is aging. You also might not need that deep liner and light lipstick. It was a great look in the 1980s when you were 25; now you're a great 45. You also don't need those frosty highlights."

Q: Do you have any favorite products?
A
: "I do love Kim Vo's products for hair. A lot of expensive brands are good, but lower priced products are also good depending on what you're buying. You can get great mascara from Maybelline or L'Oreal. I also love Laura Mercier foundation and Armani bronzer.

Olympic Women's Hockey: Don't Diss Players for Wearing Makeup

$

Come on, haters! How could some hockey fans take their eyes off the puck long enough to notice and mean-tweet that female hockey players shouldn't wear makeup during the Olympics?!

The U.S. and Canadian Women's Olympic hockey teams didn't just battle each other in a nail-biting face-off Feb. 20, but they also had to fight off the dolts dissing them on Twitter for wearing makeup!

Olympics Women Hockey Team Shouldn't Be Dissed For Wearing Makeup

Come on, hockey and Olympic fans, why would you criticize these amazing female athletes for wanting to look good while they battled to a Canadian win in a sudden-death overtime?

There's just no need for the nasty tweets like this:

Then were was the dumbfounded @LA_Dover, who had this "insightful" observation:

And then there was the highly confused @RachelVanDusenx:

All of which makes me extra-proud of both the dedicated and brilliantly competitive U.S. and Canadian women's hockey teams.

If They Want To Wear Makeup, Who Cares?

Why do they wear makeup? Because they want to! Because they are young women who want to look good and feel good while they are representing their countries doing what they love to do!

Just because they're playing hockey doesn't mean they need to look like a pair of used elbow pads!

For the members of Team USA and Team Canada, playing a hockey game is like going to work, and virtually all women wear makeup to work -- hello, haters!

And why shouldn't female hockey players wear makeup under their helmets when female track and field stars not only wear makeup but sport fabulous nail manicures and braided 'dos? Get with the 21st century, makeup mockers!

I'm glad that some Olympic hockey fans took to Twitter to applaud the ice ladies for looking fab while they skated their socks off!

Of course, the only downside to wearing makeup in any Olympic sport is when you don't get that gold. Team USA, you played your hearts out for silver, but no one who watched could not sympathize when tears welled up when you didn't win. And of course the Twitter commenters noticed.

Well, Team USA, I'm glad you still had your shoulder pads on. You didn't deserve those digs. Hooray for you for wearing makeup and playing amazingly -- your runny mascara looked beautiful!

And haters, ice it!

Covering Beyoncé's killer bod in a million crystals is always a win in our book.

Emma Watson in Giambattista Valli

This dress, with its ginormous box skirt, could have easily landed Emma on our worst-dressed list. However, the actress pulled off the look like a pro thanks to simple styling (makeup included).

The Stars On This Week's Worst-Dressed List All Look Super Silly

We couldn't stop laughing while pulling together our worst-dressed list of the week -- there were some pretty silly ensembles on display. But there's nothing funny about bad style, especially when it comes to some of our favorite style stars like Rita Ora and Chrissy Teigen, who totally miss the mark this week.

And Lily Allen just couldn't get anything right. From her dipped-dyed ponytail to her tacky technicolor attire, the British songstress was hands down our worst-dressed star. Eek!

Here's a look at all our wost-dressed picks of the week. Let us know if you agree.

Lily Allen

We suddenly have an urge to play Tic-Tac-Toe, rather than dole out anything close to praise for this over-the-top frock. The loud colors and pattern are super distracting. And what's going on with that sheer panel at the bottom?

Ellie Goulding

There's not much that can redeem this look -- it reminds us of an '80s prom gown. The shimmery pink taffeta and floral embroidered tulle combo is just wrong.

Chrissy Teigen

It's rare we see Chrissy looking anything less than flawless, but this week the supermodel stepped out in what could be considered a pair of baggy Spanx. The flesh-hued hot pants do nothing for her gorgeous gams, and we're just hoping we never see her in them again.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga, or should we say Chief Gaga, might ruffle some feathers in this American Indian-esque getup. While the look could be considered tame for the singer, that doesn't make it any more appealing. And those shoes are no beuno.

Rita Ora

Two words: Cake topper. The bodice of Rita's dress is beautiful, but the bottom half is a total fail. She is just swimming in tulle!

A History Of Black Hair In America

As February is Black History Month, I wanted to do something to celebrate such a rich, beautiful heritage, but also something a bit daring and bold. I don't think anything could encompass all those descriptors as much as a timeline on the varied history of black hair in America. Like a great tree, much about the conditions for our survival and ability to thrive can be seen through our roots.

What's A Twitter Roundup Without Chrissy Teigen?

This week, our Twitter feed wasn't inundated with New York Fashion Week updates... and we're okay with it. That being said, it was a generally slow news week. But not for long, considering next week is Paris Fashion Week and we CAN NOT WAIT.

If you were winding down this week, don't worry, you didn't miss a lot. As much as we love the Londoners, it can be considered the most low-key of Fashion Weeks. However, Moschino's Fall 2014 collection threw us a curveball, as Jeremy Scott presented quirky designs that incorporated SpongeBob and the McDonald's logo. Bizarre to say the least.

But what's a Twitter roundup without a Chrissy Teigen selfie or some Anna Kendrick sass? Scroll down for everything we loved on Twitter this week.

At this point we've come to understand that most celebrities don't wear couture and high-end designers all the time. But it still shocks us when we spot one of our favorite stars in a $14 H&M dress.

And that's just what happened when we found out that Taylor Swift's adorable polka frock had a just as adorable price tag. And this pattern continued with Beyoncé's $30 Topshop bikini top and Alessandra Ambrosio's $48 Soludos shoes.

Check out all the cheap finds of the week and let us know which ones you plan on buying!

Over the years, "Sex And The City" has become one of those beloved television shows women still reference in everyday conversation and binge-watch on the weekends. Part of that appeal, of course, is the incredible fashion. But even Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda's designer wardrobes fell short sometimes.

In honor of the 10th anniversary of the iconic show's finale, we've rounded up the most cringeworthy "Sex And The City" fashion moments from around the Internet.

The hat, the skirt, the hat. This is just all wrong.

Help! Samantha's arms have been eaten by THE WORLD'S LARGEST SLEEVES.

All of this hair.

THE OVERALLS.

Samantha's all blue everything leather ensemble.

This shirt on Stanford. Pretty much most of Stanford's wardrobe.

This hat/shirt combo. Double points for the corresponding quote.

It's hard to look at anything besides Smith in this one but... is that a shirt belt?

And of course, this moment. Which is less cringeworthy for its fashion than for, well, you know.

Nina Agdal is on fire!

The sexy model is making headlines everywhere as one of three cover girls for the 50th anniversary Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and she's the star of the new Carl's Jr. and Hardee's ad.

In a clip released Friday (Feb. 21), the 21-year-old beauty is seen rising from the sea in a gold bikini bottom and a wet, white tank top, biting into a codfish sandwich.

This is Agdal's second commercial for the burger chain. In February of 2013, right in time for the Super Bowl, Agdal followed in the footsteps of Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and Kate Upton and starred in her very own finger-licking commercial.

The Danish supermodel told Allure magazine at the time that she "went through around 50 sandwiches that day, if not more! But I still ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner."
