Wearing cologne, eau de toilette, a signature scent, or whatever you want to call it is by no means mandatory, but it's a powerful extra detail that many stylish men swear by. Yes, how you look is important, but your scent (good or bad) will leave a more lasting impression--just ask the other person on any date.

That said, there is nothing more overwhelming than walking into the fragrance section of a department store and walking out with a new scent. Even if you make it through the gauntlet of employees wielding test strips and spritzers, you're guaranteed to not make it past five scents before you can't tell the difference between any one of them. That's why the best way to attack the process of buying your first fragrance is by doing your research, getting some recommendations, and then harnessing all your patience to test out a bunch of samples on your skin.

We talked to olfactory experts (a.k.a., the noses) William and Richard Fraysse and president Romain Alès from the French perfumer Caron to get to the bottom of all the fragrance lingo and brand info to put you on the most painless path to finding your next signature scent.

1. Go with Your Gut, and Eyes, and Nose
"We've spent too much time selling colognes based on the 'olfactory pyramid,' which explains in detail what top and base notes are in each fragrance. Fragrance is like wine--it's an emotion, it's a smell, it's a palette, and it's a pleasure. Before asking what's in the thing, just smell it. How do you react? And in the off chance that I, as a perfume maker, can tell you a story, can make you dream a little, I've already done half my job." --Alès

"Go toward the bottles that are attractive to you and start trying them little by little. Choose a brand that uses quality raw materials, and then go with your instinct." --Richard Fraysse

2. Explore Smaller Brands
"Brands spend tons of money on celebrity-endorsed advertisements in order to sell you their perfume. But the real mark of quality is in a perfumer that works with natural products. Look for a brand that's not a designer brand, but a perfumer. They don't sell clothes or bags, they specialize in one thing, and creating that one thing at the highest quality. So when you are looking for your first scent, don't be distracted by the brand or the name behind it." --Richard Fraysse

"When you have 1,200 products that come out in one year, half of them, I assure you, if you were to test them all, would have the same odor and wouldn't last. Find something that is specific to you. Something that is yours and no one else's. Real luxury is to have the sensation that something is made for you and only you." --Alès

3. Test It on Your Skin
Your skin chemistry interacts with that of your cologne and changes the scent from what it smells like straight out of the bottle. So you have to test it on your skin. Ask for a take-home sample if possible.

"If I take 40 men and put the same cologne on all of them, I'll have 40 different odors." --Alès

4. Take Someone Scent Shopping with You
"When it comes to men's fragrances, a woman's opinion is obligatory. Because your fragrance is a seduction tool, it's a way to connect with another. And if once you put it on it doesn't react well with your skin, then there's a problem. So you need her to smell it on you." --Alès

[Note: Bring a woman or a man or both. But bring someone you trust.]

5. If You're a Hesitant Fragrance Wearer:
"Go for something fresh and not too complicated. Choose something that's recognizable like citrus, fig, or lavender, but not too sophisticated. Choose one with a short list of ingredients; our classic cologne Pour un Homme has ten ingredients. The new version Pour un Homme Sport has 37 ingredients. The original has been around for 80 years, and it's lasted. Generations of men have loved wearing it that whole time." --William Fraysse

6. If You Really Like the Smell or Taste of Something, Work It into Your Cologne:
"If you eat a lot of spicy food, go for something more complex and something pretty strong. People who eat very spicy foods have weaker senses of smell and taste. In a way, they need a complement to what they eat. Something that is itself rather spicy." --Richard Fraysse

Why A Chunk Of Wood Is Exactly What Your Shoes Need This Summer

$
0
0

It's a hot summer this year -- and believe it or not, your feet sweat more than than your armpits do (8 fluid ounces per foot each day, the equivalent of pouring half a Snapple bottle into each shoe). You can imagine what that does to the inside of your barely breathable leather oxfords.

But sweaty feet aren't the only assault on your dress shoes.

Gravity, time and use can age your shoes as well by stretching them out, causing creases and wrinkles, deforming their shape over time. Surprisingly, the way you store your shoes when you're not wearing them can make the biggest difference.

The humble shoe tree -- that wooden block you found in the back of your grandfather's closet -- is the best tool to keep your shoes in good condition, says Jose Zuniga, a cofounder of Teaching Men's Fashion.

Here's why:

  • Shoe trees press out any wrinkles that your foot creased into your shoe.

  • By keeping it taut, shoe trees prevent gravity from flattening or widening your shoe.

  • Wooden shoe trees absorb the moisture from your shoe -- aka sweat buildup -- which is important because, as Zuniga points out, it removes "a breeding ground for bacteria," the main reason your shoes smell bad.

  • Cedar shoe trees smell really good, too.

There are many varieties of shoe trees -- from plastic to wood and bespoke, but you don't need a bespoke shoe tree. You should only spend about $30 for a quality wooden shoe tree, and make sure you get one with the heel (some come without, but those have a pole that extends to the back of the shoe, which can stretch out the heel of your shoe over time). And you really only need one set of shoe trees, rotating them through your best shoes.

After all, as Business Insider points out, "Shoe trees are a whole lot cheaper than a new pair of nice shoes," and you should keep it that way.

What I Learned About Life From My 'OITNB' Character, Crystal Burset

$

I have been acting since I was a teenager. My first role (and first audition) was playing Theo's girlfriend Tanya on The Cosby Show. Since then, I have appeared on some of the most successful shows of our time: NYPD Blue, 24, ER, The Good Wife. I spent seven seasons as Deputy Kenya Jones on HBO's True Blood and have worked on the Netflix show, Orange Is The New Black since it began. I remember the day I got the script. The scene was the one in season one, episode three where Sophia tells Crystal she is becoming a woman, and Crystal helps her husband-turned-wife dress into woman's clothing for the first time. Netflix was known mostly for streaming movies. But the uber creative Jenji Kohan was at he helm; Jen Euston was casting (I always thought she had great taste in projects) and the incomparable Jodie Foster was directing. Most of all, though, the role of Crystal Burset was unlike any other I had ever seen on television. We would explore a complex relationship under the light of a most extraordinary circumstance shedding light on issues of a group rarely explored in media in a mainstream way: the transgender community. I was in. I remember thinking, "Gosh, I hope someone watches it."

But really, I was just happy that they picked me.

Crystal has been steadfast in her devotion to her family and goes beyond the call of duty this season to get Sophia out of solitary, going so far as to stalk Caputo at his home and open a legal case against the MCC. All while taking care of a son who is on the brink, having her home almost go into foreclosure, and being shunned by her mother.

My life is different -- very different -- from Crystal's. I am a single woman who has been engaged three times. Yes, you read that right. Three! All nice guys, but, ultimately, not ones I really wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I have no children, but I do have a dog that I love (hi, Macarena!) My private life is very simple and quiet while my professional life is loud, extreme and deeply fulfilling.

My life is different -- very different -- from Crystal's.

I've always believe a character comes to an actor at a precise time in the actor's life, with something to teach hime/her. Here are three things I learned from playing Crystal Burset:

COMMITMENT: Ah, the "c" word. I am a very determined and focused person who is good at achieving goals -- even if they take longer than I'd like. I tend to wanna bolt to the exit door, though, whenever I find myself in dramatic situations (I abhor them. And yes, I am an actress! The irony is not lost on me here!) Crystal finds herself in an extreme circumstance, yet she stands by Sophia's side. I've learned a lot about the value of commitment from Crystal. Her willingness to stand by her spouse's side is, arguably, the roughest time in their marriage is beyond admirable. It's almost saint-like. But you get the idea that Crystal is not necessarily a saint, just a woman who makes strong, compassionate choices -- ones that are right for her -- despite what others may think. In my own life in terms of relationship, I will vocalize grievous things once, maybe twice. I am not a yeller or a screamer, so I am often surprised when mates are surprised I've used the exit door on the third take. I am breathtakingly great at exiting; but staying? Oy. Not so much.

LOVE: I am a heterosexual woman. The relationship between Sophia and Crystal illustrates beautifully that love has nothing at all to do with gender. Nor does it have to do with race, education, class, economics or the other myriad things we human beings devise to keep us apart from one another. Love is love. It's a wonderful thing. Period, that's all.

The relationship between Sophia and Crystal illustrates beautifully that love has nothing at all to do with gender.

GRATITUDE: In season two, Sophia correctly intuits that Crystal likes her Pastor in a romantic way and, after some struggle, she gives Crystal permission to date the Pastor. Crystal is able to receive Sophia's blessing -- she says "thank you" -- which allows her to continue to live her life despite the fact that her spouse is incarcerated. In my own experience, the power of these two words cannot be underestimated in this life -- it gives you a sense of peace and the humility that lets you know that no man is an island, and that nothing is done alone -- even if it feels like it sometimes. Gratitude may well be the key to happiness.

I have no idea what will happen between Sophia and Crystal in the coming seasons. Playing her has been one of the great highlights of my lucky career as an actor. I've learned more from Crystal than just about any character I've ever played. And for that, I am eternally grateful.

Kendall Jenner Is Unrecognizable In Marc Jacobs' New Ad Campaign

Marc Jacobs has a talent for transforming his models to fit the story he's trying to tell for a given collection, both in runway shows and campaigns alike.

For his star-studded Fall 2016 ads, which feature the likes of Cara Delevingne, Courtney Love, Marilyn Manson, Missy Elliott and more, the looks are dark, edgy and oh-so Marc Jacobs.

But of the full cast of characters in the campaign, it's Kendall Jenner as a "goth goddess" who is the most unrecognizable:

The supermodel is giving us major "Edward Scissorhands" vibes, minus the scissors for hands and plus one pair of bleached eyebrows and one pair of ungodly-high platform boots (Jenner strode around in them "as if she was in a pair of running shoes," Jacobs wrote).

Jacobs, who penned loving messages to each one of his campaign stars on Instagram, lauded Jenner for her "hard work, passion and desire," adding that, to him, it's "the ability of a model to effortlessly transform into a look and character that makes her so appealing and inspiring."

Based on this photo alone, we're going to guess Jacobs is plenty inspired by this unrecognizable model.

Body-Positivity Queen Ariel Winter Didn't Ask If You Liked Her Nude Graduation Dress

Anonymous trolls have something to say about Ariel Winter's appearance. It must be Thursday.

The "Modern Family" actress has long been a target for body shamers and repeatedly shuts down haters who feel the need to comment on her weight, cleavage, cutoff shorts and other things that will never be their business.

Now, Winter has yet again refused to succumb to social media negativity by adopting a DGAF attitude that benefits all of us. After sharing a photo of her nude bodycon graduation dress on Instagram, the actress, who is off to UCLA in the fall, received a deluge of nasty responses.

A photo posted by Ariel Winter (@arielwinter) on

On Wednesday night, Winter released a series of tweets with the hashtag #EmbraceYourBody, directed at her detractors, to politely inform them how much she loved the dress in question and how little she cares about their opinions.

Winter has been on somewhat of a body-positive crusade over the past year, calling out offensive comments on social media to highlight the ways in which women -- especially female celebrities -- are picked apart in our current cultural climate.

“We live in a day and age where everything you do is ridiculed," she told Glamour in 2015 after undergoing breast reduction surgery. "The internet bullies are awful. I could post a photo where I feel good, and 500 people will comment about how fat I am, and that I am disgusting.”

Somehow, Winter charges on by loving herself more and more each day and encouraging her followers to do the same.

"Know your value," she wrote on Twitter. "Remember who you are. Love yourself. You're perfect ."

The Miss America Pageant Just Got Its First Openly Gay Contestant

The Miss America Pageant just made a bold and exciting move when it crowned the first openly gay contestant in the franchise's 95-year history.

Erin O'Flaherty, 23, was crowned Miss Missouri on Saturday and, according to chairman of the board of the Miss Missouri Scholarship Organization, Ann Jolly, she is the first openly gay woman to hold the title.

"My coming out was very public, which was hard because you want it to be very private," O'Flaherty  told Riverfront Times. "The public access to that was very challenging because I wanted to protect my relationship and who I am, and come to terms with myself before the rest of the world got a chance to."

According to Entertainment Tonight, O'Flaherty also believes she will be the first openly gay contestant to compete in this fall's Miss America pageant, scheduled for Sept. 11 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

“I'm hoping that I can strike a really nice balance of staying true to the values of Miss Missouri and also being able to exercise my personal views,” she said.

While this may be the first time an openly gay woman has won a title in the Miss America pageant, there are a number of other beauty pageants around the world that celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, including Miss Gay Venezuela and Miss Trans Israel.

We're proud of you, Erin!

Angela Bassett To Launch New Skin Care Line For Darker Skin

When it comes to the skin care industry, products that cater to people with darker skin are few and far between. But Angela Bassett wants to change that.

The actress has teamed up with Dr. Barbara Sturm, her friend and a well-known skincare expert, to launch a skin-care line that addresses the specific needs of women with darker complexions.

Bassett has struggled with skin issues herself, she told WWD. Initially, she used Sturm's original line to treat her breakouts and irritations, but she realized it didn't address skin issues that darker women deal with, such as hyperpigmentation. That's when they decided to extend the line and after two years of research, "Darker Skin Tones by Dr. Barbara Sturm" came into fruition.

Bassett said that she wants to bring more awareness to skin care and for people, "to see what is good for it and ingredients that are helpful — not invasive or irritating. I like them to be pleased when they look in the mirror, to feel good about themselves and the condition of their complexion.”

The five-item line aims to reduce inflammations, even tones and minimize pores and hyperpigmentation. Strum told WWD that the main ingredient in their line, purslane, works as an anti-aging agent and helps to even out the tone.

The product line includes a foam cleanser, enzyme cleanser, face cream, face cream rich and hyaluronic serum. The price ranges from $58 to $335 and will launch exclusively at Harrods in-store and online in July.

Within the glass walls of architect David Hertz's iconic Californication House, designer Bianca Moran held an intimate dinner earlier this week to celebrate the launch of her new vegan footwear brand, Susi Studio. Recognized for its sustainable design and environmental awareness, the house was a fitting venue to present Susi Studio's first collection, which is itself committed to promoting conscious living. The line's mindful designs are produced from vegan materials like canvas, denim, hemp, and faux leather.

"A woman should never have to compromise her values for fashion," Moran said. "Susi is all about cute and conscious consumerism."

The Summer 2016 collection includes platform heels, t-strap flats and lace-up loafers that call to mind the fun, feminine looks that defined the 1960s. "I was drawn to the surface innocence of that period," Moran said.

In addition to its commitment to promoting responsible fashion, Susi Studio also endeavors to empower women on their personal paths toward success. The company is women-owned and managed through and through. Several of its shoes are even named after women Moran admires, such as the "Hey Simone" block-heeled sandal, which is named after French philosopher and feminist Simone de Beauvoir.

The brand plans to announce upcoming artist collaborations and partnerships soon, as well as a video campaign featuring women entrepreneurs like Moran who are taking steps to fulfill their passions.

In the meantime, Susi Studio will be releasing new product on its website on a seasonal basis to supplement its signature collection.

How To Wear White Jeans, For The Man Who's Completely Terrified Of Them

$
0
0

Every man should wear white jeans, if only to prove he does the laundry.

Think about it -- nothing really says, "I regularly wash my clothes" louder than a pair of white jeans.

Megan Collins, also known as the Style Girlfriend, agrees: "There’s something very sexy about a man who’s confident enough to sport clothes he can’t spill on."

You're also saying that you're not afraid to take some risks, because white jeans can be tricky. When worn with the wrong outfit, you can look like a bad kind of European cliché. Mr. Indie French Film. But worn tastefully, white jeans can be the item that takes your style to a fresh level.

Look at D. L. Hughley up there. He looks good in those white jeans.

He didn't make them the focal point of his outfit; instead, he let the denim jacket and hat take the focus. White jeans, when done right, provide a canvas for a great minimal look. And here, the denim-on-denim look works without becoming a Canadian tux because the colors are so different (not that there's anything wrong with the Canadian tuxedo).

More importantly, rather than flip flops, board shorts or tank tops, white jeans (and maybe some linen) are just about the only things you can wear to the office while still acknowledging that it's summer.

So mix it up! Here are other ways to wear white denim without looking like a dork.

One Pair, Three Ways

Marcel Floruss, the blogger behind One Dapper Street, puts the same pair of white jeans with a tank and some espadrilles for poolside look; a gray sweater and white sneakers for a look of minimalism at the office; and a black button-down and blazer fit for the boardroom -- all sockless. Sometimes the best way to accessorize white jeans is by not wearing something (in this case, socks).

White On White

Blogger and stylist Denny Balmaceda's look -- white jacket with white jeans -- works so well here because his red sneakers and chambray shirt provide a great pop of color. Again, your white jeans shouldn't be the main focus -- and little details really stand out against them.

Black On White

Moti Ankari, blogger known as The Metro Man, puts his white jeans betwEen a dark floral shirt and black Chuck Taylors. Wearing dark colors -- even black -- against white can really pull it all together.

All White Is Alright, Too

Sure, it's probably one of the riskier combinations you could make: White shirt, white pants. You don't want to look like you came to paint the walls. But menswear blogger Anthony Urbano here, accented with just a silver necklace and bracelet, makes it look right. If you're going the all-white route, pair it with a strong bag or bold boots.

5 Luxury Items From Your Parents Wildest Dreams

$

Every generation has status symbols; showy expressions of wealth everybody wants and only a few can afford. TV shows and movies often reflect the trappings of wealth, using visual clues to demarcate the 1% from us ordinary folks - and give us something to salivate over. Shows about the uber-rich have changed, but plenty of people still tune in to find out what the Kardashians are wearing this week.

So what did your parents dream about? Reality shows were not as prevalent in the 60s, and rich people didn't invite cameras to document every scintillating detail of their daily lives. Our view of the rich was outside-in. We were kids with our noses pressed to the candy store window. Fortunately, the superrich have never been shy about flaunting their wealth for us to envy. Here are the symbols of wealth your parents coveted - and what they cost then and now.

Rolls Royce

No self-respecting multimillionaire would drive anything less. The Rolls Royce Silver Shadow was introduced in 1965 for the princely sum of $19,700 and everyone from rock stars to world leaders drove them. Rolls Royce is still the gold standard of ostentatious wealth. Business Insider describes the new Rolls Royce Phantom as yacht on wheels - with a price tag of $500,000.

Iconic Watch

We know that Rolex is the king of culture for one simple reason: It was the watch of choice for James Bond. While later movies featured different brands - Daniel Craig sports Omega - Sean Connery favored an iconic Rolex, much like Bond's creator, Ian Fleming, who wore a Rolex Explorer. In 1969, the Rolex Oyster cost $202.50. Ridiculous!! Today, You can pick up a Bond-worthy Rolex Oyster for $6,000 and up - way up, depending on your chosen metals...and they still grace the wrists of Hollywood's A-List.

Mink Coat

Every woman of status owned a luxurious full length mink. Your mom imagined herself attending a Hollywood premiere, wrapped in the cloud-soft elegance of a silk-lined sable. In her day, a high-end fur could cost up to $35,000. In the last few decades, the cost has come way down. ML Furs lists this to-die-for designer fur coat at just under $11,000.

An Original Picasso

What mansion would be complete without signed original art? Picasso took the art world of the rich and famous by storm in the early 60s, and everyone who was anyone had to have one. In 1960, a Picasso oil painting was auctioned off by Sotheby's for £55,000, or roughly $80,600 in dollars (at today's conversion rate). Last year, a Picasso original set a new world record for the highest auction price in history. Les femmes d'Alger, version O sold for $160,000,000 - plus a hefty commission for Christie's, of course.

Beverly Hills Mansion

The Beverly Hillbillies introduced middle America to the inside of a real mansion, and we may never be the same. From the soaring marble staircase to the fancy cement pond, the Kirkeby Mansion at 750 Bel Air Road is arguably the most ostentatious home a wannabe 1% could have wished for in the 60s.

Don't tell mom, but it was all an illusion. The only real part of the mansion was the outside from the front. Once the actors stepped through the front door - or out the back - they were on movie sets. The interior was quite different from the set designer's vision.

The Kirkeby Mansion cost $2 million to construct in 1933. With 10 bedrooms, 12 baths, gold-plated fixtures and doorknobs, and a 150-ft waterfall, the home was something of a white elephant at the time. Hotel magnate Arnold Kirkeby bought it in 1945 for a fraction of the cost, just $250,000. Zillow estimates its current value at $16,753,660.

Classic never seems to go out of style. Diamonds will always be a girl's best friend. 50 years later, we still want to know how the 1% lives, what they drive, what they wear, even what their bathrooms look like. That desire fueled the popularity of celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton - famous only because they are rich - and TV shows from Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous to The Real Housewives.

The superrich have more choices than ever today. There are a gazillion ways to spend...well, a gazillion dollars. It should be interesting to see the next round of reality shows that bypasses crass celebrity and hones in on the true aristocracy of old money to explore the secret world of people who literally have everything.

The brunette beauty stepped out in a Jenny Packham number that she had already worn back in 2011 and all we have to say is, YES. Why not re-wear a gown as stunning as this?

Check out all the best-dressed stars of the week and let us know if you agree with our picks:

Here Are Real-Life Ballerinas Enjoying The Beauty Of Degas' Iconic Works

The ballet dancers immortalized in Edgar Degas' legendary 19th-century paintings enjoyed some company this week, when real life dancers of the Artists of The Australian Ballet took a field trip.

Dancers Evie Ferris and Georgia Scott-Hunter, as well as 6-year-old ballerina Mena Deboil, posed alongside Degas' beloved Impressionist works during a preview for the upcoming "Degas: A New Vision" exhibition at Melbourne's National Gallery of Victoria. The show will feature over 200 of Degas' artworks, ranging from depictions of ballet rehearsal to moments in the opera hall, the race track and cafes.

"From the beginning to the very end he was a wonderful artist," exhibition curator Henri Loyrette, the former director of The Louvre and Musée d'Orsay, explained to Vogue. "Since the beginning he made great judgement and made wonderful artistic choices ... and he was always moving and looking at what could happen, so you keep discovering many things looking at his work."

Degas surely had a profuse imagination, one which continues to enchant viewers to this day. But whether even he could have predicted that 200 years in the future, young ballerinas would be arabesque-ing alongside his works in a massive retrospective in his honor -- well, it seems doubtful.

"Degas: A New Vision" runs until Sept. 18, 2016, at the National Gallery of Victoria in Australia. For more on the artist, check out our past coverage of a Degas-centric exhibition at MoMA earlier this year.

Tik tok on the clock, Kesha's new look is hot

The singer/songwriter was spotted at LAX Thursday, looking delightfully different and super chic.

Wearing a flowing, floral mini-dress with thigh-high lace-up heels and a scarf, her outfit was only overshadowed by her hairstyle: a shaggy, platinum blonde 'do with choppy bangs similar to the look she rocked at the Billboard Music Awards in May.

Our body-positive hero always looks great, but we have to admit this look especially makes our hearts beat -- like an 808 drum, of course.

Why Meryl Streep Almost Turned Down 'The Devil Wears Prada'

Meryl Streep is a tour de force in pretty much every role, and her performance in "The Devil Wears Prada” was no different.

As the movie approaches its 10th anniversary, we shudder to think that Streep might not have played THE Miranda Priestly because some Hollywood execs would not pay her enough. (Just now, a decade later, fair and equal pay for women actors has finally become a rallying cry.) Looking back on her role in the film in a new interview with Variety, the actress talks about how she almost walked away.

"The offer was, to my mind, slightly, if not insulting, not perhaps reflective of my actual value to the project," Streep said. "There was my 'goodbye moment,' and then they doubled the offer. I was 55, and I had just learned, at a very late date, how to deal on my own behalf."

A true Miranda move. Shame on the executives who failed to notice: A) Streep's incredible star power, and B) The fact that she would (and did) carry the entire movie.

The Variety article also (FINALLY!) reveals the real-life inspiration behind Streep's portrayal of her character, whom most assumed to be based on longtime Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour.

"The voice I got from Clint Eastwood," the actress said. "He never, ever, ever raises his voice, and everyone has to lean in to listen, and he is automatically the most powerful person in the room. But he is not funny. That I stole from Mike Nichols."

Streep added, "The way the cruelest cutting remark, if it is delivered with a tiny self-amused curlicue of irony, is the most effective instruction, the most memorable correction, because everyone laughs, even the target."

Dad Shows Sweet, Simple Way To Support Your Breastfeeding Partner

A simple but meaningful photo is showing how partners of breastfeeding moms can lend a hand in the nursing department.

On Wednesday, the popular Breastfeeding Mama Talk Facebook page posted a photo of mom Emily Webber breastfeeding her daughter at home while the baby's father dries her hair.

"Example #235670 on how a dad can 'help' with the feedings of a breastfed baby..." reads the caption -- along with this quote from the couple: "True love is blow drying her hair while she breastfeeds because you don't have a whole lot of time so you kill two birds with one stone!"

In the comments section, the mom adds, "And the best part is I didn't even ask -- he offered! Can't get any better then that!"

It's all about the little things.
