Michelle Obama Continues China Tour In Printastic Outfits

Michelle Obama may be on a serious mission in China, but that hasn't stopped the first lady from serving some amazing spring fashion.

On Day 3 of her visit in Beijing, Obama addressed students at the Stanford Center at Peking University wearing a Carolina Herrera sheath dress with a red, gray, black and tan graphic print. The cut of the dress was sophisticated and modest, however, the swirling design added a modern touch. And it didn't hurt to have a hint of red, as the color symbolizes "good luck" in Chinese culture.

Later on Saturday, Obama watched a Beijing Opera performance with her daughters Malia and Sasha. For the casual affair, she sported another printastic ensemble, featuring a multicolored blouse with a horse print, charcoal gray trousers and hoop earrings. As it got sunnier during a boat ride on Kunming Lake, Obama and Sasha had to pull out their stunna shades.

Then it was back to important affairs Sunday when Obama met with a group of students and teachers at the US embassy in Beijing. Donning a much straighter hairstyle, the first lady switched into a red and pink printed number that reminded us of this Diane von Furstenberg dress.

Check out Michelle Obama's printastic outfits in China below and get inspired to liven up your wardrobe.

The Perfect Spring Dress For YOUR Body

You've waited long enough to finally slip into those spring duds. And, the welcome-back item of choice? Naturally, it's the everyday dress. It's a no-fuss wonder that makes warm-weather dressing so easy and look stellar, even if you style the frock simply with a pair of shoes. Okay, maybe a denim jacket, too.

How Our Smartphones Are Affecting The Way We Shop

Think your smartphone is all about Candy Crush and restaurant reviews? Think again. They're actually having an impact on the way you shop, too.

A new study by Interactions Marketing on consumer trends reveals that a whopping 91 percent of women surveyed conduct online research before making any purchase. Additionally, 37 percent use their phones to conduct research DURING their shopping trip. Kind of makes the whole "browsing" thing more interactive, no?

The study also found that not as many people turn to social media for reviews as we might think. In fact, we are more likely to visit the store's actual website and read the reviews left there. Eighty percent of the women surveyed admitted they are influenced to buy something by positive reviews. It is important then, to consider what makes people leave reviews in the first place. Most people would agree that for someone to write a review they would have to either be extremely satisfied OR extremely disappointed.

So, even though we tend to think that we are independent in our shopping choices, that is not always the case. This study certainly says something about the way we shop today. Not only are we relying on others to help us decide what's worth spending our money on, but we are also connecting with those people through our phones WHILE WE SHOP. It's all a bit overwhelming. Excuse us while we unwind with a bit of retail therapy...

Check out the infographic of the entire study below, and happy shopping!

Celebrities Show Us How NOT To Wear Eyeshadow On This Week's Best & Worst Beauty List (PHOTOS)

Eyeshadow -- when worn in a flattering shade and blended properly -- can really brighten up your face. But if you fail to do these two simple things, it can create quite the beautiful disaster.

On this week's beauty list, celebrities show us how not to wear eyeshadow. R&B singer Chanté Moore and actress Rosario Dawson went overboard with Crayola-colored eye makeup. Meanwhile, "Pretty Little Liars" star Ashley Benson's smokey eye could have used way less shimmer.

Learn from these celebrity eyeshadow mistakes below (and see which stars nailed it with their hair and makeup).

BEST: Kate Winslet

kate winslet

Winslet's tousled, blonde hair gives her sexy red dress casual flair. And her simple makeup is a breath of fresh air on the red carpet.

BEST: Shailene Woodley

shailene woodley

This is probably the most makeup we've seen the "Divergent" star sport, but the hint of eyeshadow, liquid eyeliner and black mascara is just enough.

BEST: America Ferrera

america ferrera

Ferrera has us floored with her lush waves, peachy cheeks and apricot lip gloss. This is the perfect spring makeup!

BEST: Lucy Hale

lucy hale

There is nothing prettier than a well-done braid, and Hale's thick side plait allows us to see her stunning face.

BEST: Lea Michele

lea michele

This look just screams, "Dewy, glowy skin!" Michele's complexion is positively glowing and we can't stop staring at her bold brows and lashes.

WORST: Bella Thorne

bella thorne

Between Thorne's messy braided hairdo and that metallic eyeshadow, she just looks like one golden blur.

WORST: Chanté Moore

chante moore

Moore looks like she is stuck in the '80s with this curly, undercut hairstyle, dramatic purple eye makeup and hot pink lipstick.

WORST: Ashley Benson

ashley benson

This "Pretty Little Liars" star could have scaled back (all the way back) on the shimmering eyeshadow and blush. And it would have been nice to see her with a sleek updo to balance out her menswear-inspired outfit.

WORST: Jenna Ushkowitz

jenna ushkowitz

Ushkowitz's heavy blue-gray eyeshadow makes her eyes appear smaller, and it takes away from her natural beauty.

WORST: Rosario Dawson

rosario dawson

The "Cesar Chavez" actress looks like she just rolled out of bed with these greasy side-swept bangs, orange eyeshadow and black eyeliner.

Justin Bieber Compares Himself To James Dean, Should Have Probably Avoided Doing So

Justin Bieber sure thinks highly of himself.

After being outed as a brat in his deposition tape, Bieber has taken his inflated ego to Instagram where he's posted a photo himself posed as Jame Dean. Wearing a white T-shirt with a distant gaze and a cigarette dangling from the corner of his mouth, Bieber captioned the photo: "This is James Dean inspired. Don't ask me if I smoke ciggys cuz I don't ♛"

To make sure we all get the comparison (we do, Bieber), the Canadian superstar followed his pic up with a photo of the late iconic actor himself:

Some rebels are more noble than others, Biebs. Just saying.

Adele Gives Rare Glimpse Into Her Private Life, For A Good Cause

Adele has achieved international superstar status at the tender age of 20 but she has managed to keep her personal life almost entirely private in the five years since. Until now, that is.

Promoting World Water Day on Saturday, March 22, Adele posted a four photo collage to her Twitter account. The clues we can glean are few but precious: Adele has a small fish tank, Adele looks positively stunning without makeup, and Adele's 17-month-old baby boy Angelo is growing up so fast!

Gwyneth Paltrow, Britney Spears, Bar Refaeli and Katy Perry have also endorsed the important cause, aimed to provide clean water to the 800 million people who lack access to it, on social media this weekend.

Kourtney Kardashian Plays Coy About Kimye's Vogue Cover Backlash

$

When the world learned that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West would grace the cover of the April issue of Vogue, the Internet just about lost its damn mind; Sarah Michelle Gellar threatened to cancel her subscription and Anna Wintour actually issued a statement about some not so nice rumors -- yet, somehow, Kourtney Kardashian hasn't heard about any backlash towards the issue.

During an appearance on "Good Morning America" on Monday, March 24, to promote her family's new children's clothing line, Kardashian Kids, the 34-year-old reality star revealed she's been too busy to take note of any negative response to her sister's Vogue cover.

"I haven't seen any reaction. I've literally been unpacking," Kourtney told GMA's Lara Spencer. "But, I don't hear about any news. I'm kind of like the last to hear about anything. I posted [the Vogue cover] on my Instagram and saw these amazing responses and stuff and I'm so happy for her."

But it goes even further than just being wrapped up in other things this weekend. The mother of two even played dumb when asked about West's very vocal campaign to get his fiancee on the magazine's cover.

"Really? I swear I am the last to know anything," she said, looking dumbfounded. "But I'm really happy for them. I think it's beautiful."

Hmm, perhaps Kourtney missed that interview in which West stood up for Kim and her dream of being a Vogue cover girl, passionately telling Ryan Seacrest, "And there’s no way Kim Kardashian shouldn’t be on the cover of Vogue. She’s like the most intriguing woman right now. She’s got Barbara Walters calling her like every day."

Just Break Up? Don't Do These 4 Things

$

By Katie Parsons for GalTime.com

A breakup can definitely bring out the worst in people. But rather than letting your ex see your hurt or vindictive side, try focusing on the positives of a breakup whenever possible, suggests relationship expert Lisa Steadman, bestselling author of It's a Breakup, Not a Breakdown.

Everyone processes the end of a relationship differently, but if your goal is to accept it and move on, there are some actions to sidestep for a healthy recovery. Steadman advises her clients to avoid these 4 common pitfalls when it comes to finding new happiness after a breakup.

1. Focusing on your ex.

When a woman is in the midst of a breakup, it tends to take center stage. All that energy is really a waste though, says Steadman, because it only heightens the negative emotions.

"It's really easy to focus on what's next for an ex -- who will he date, what he will do -- but a woman should really refocus on herself instead."

2. Cyberstalking.

The days of waiting until after dark to drive by your ex's place to see if he was home, and who with, are long gone. Sure, the creepy drive-by option still exists but social media has made it easier than ever to check in on exes, and from anywhere. Though the temptation is strong, avoid following your ex online.

"The best approach is to just remove him from your social media pages," said Steadman. "It will only upset you and make you feel like you're missing out."

3. Rebound sex.

Getting "back out there" is healthy after a breakup and flirtation can actually be a mood-booster. However, those good feelings can turn sour quickly if the interaction turns too physical.

"Rebound sex can actually send you running back into the arms of your ex," said Steadman. "You miss the comfort from the relationship sex and when it's not the same, it can be very unsettling."

4. Self-loathing.

No matter who's responsible for the breakup, women tend to shoulder the burden and turn it into something deeply personal, especially as they get older, according to Steadman.

"Women see all of their friends settling down, getting married, and having kids... they think, what's wrong with me? Now I have to start all over again," said Steadman. "And it can feel very exhausting."

Instead of worrying what everyone else is doing, though, Steadman says you should just zero in on what's positive in your life and remind yourself of what was wrong in the relationship.

"Don't view a breakup as a failure," she said. "It isn't about everyone else. It's about you and your next steps."

Rationality is not always easy to come by when matters of the heart are at stake, but putting a positive spin on a breakup can bring closure and peace faster.

Think about all of the good stuff in your life, like healthy friendships, how well school or your career is going, how supportive your family is and what your next steps are in terms of chasing what you're passionate about. A bad relationship can hold you back, so you're much better off with this fresh start.

"The best news ever is when a woman looks back and says that she's glad she broke up with an ex," said Steadman. Just remember that you'll be okay, and you will find happiness again.

By Andrea Ducharme for GalTime.com

Let's celebrate the arrival of spring with some fresh makeup. We picked our absolute favorite trends hot off the spring fashion show runways, and now you can make them your own.

Lips

Bright orange lips looked amazing on models of every skin tone. Some were full coverage and matte, others were more glossy. To make your pout pop, try a sheer orange lip gloss and pair with simple eye makeup and a bit of bronzer.

Try: Revlon Super Lustrous Lip gloss and Kiss Me Coral and MAC Lipstick in Morange

Eyes

Lids were awash in bright shades of electric blue and lime green. To make this more wearable at work, try a thin line of bright blue liner on upper lash line or some bright green shadow placed just on the lids and pair with lots of black mascara. Balance this look with a softer rose lip color and a bit of rosy blush on the apples of your cheeks.

Try: Makeup For Ever Aqua Eyes Eye Pencil in Majorelle Blue and Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pot in Lime Green

First Ladies in China: Jackie Kennedy's Kidnapping to Lou Hoover's Gun

Betty Ford kicked off her high heels to join a communist academy ballet rehearsal in December of 1975. (Gerald Ford Presidential Library)

Michelle Obama is currently on an official visit to China, which began on March 19 and continues through March 26. The fifteenth First Lady of the United States to visit the vast land that was once viewed as being so "mysterious" by westerners, the incidents experienced by her predecessors offer context to Mrs. Obama's activities and tell the story of China's evolution from iron rule by dynasty to a nationalist republic to a communism monolith dictated by the personality cult of Mao to an economic super-power.

Six First Ladies first visited China as incumbents of the White House. Six did so in their post-presidential periods, and two before their husbands had been elected Presidents. Among them, seven have been to China on multiple occasions and two have actually lived there.

In the previously untold narrative of U.S. First Ladies in China are the tales of how Betty Ford made world news by kicking off her high heels to join a dance class of young communist ballet students, Julia Grant was conveyed on a satin-curtained sedan chair to a Viceroy's palace, Lou Hoover got a gun to protect herself during the bloody Boxer Rebellion attacks on westerners, Pat Nixon wore a bright "Chinese Red" coat that kept her the focus of live news reports during her husband's historic trip there, Hillary Clinton became the first foreign official to tell the truth about human rights violations on Chinese soil, Nancy Reagan became the crush for a communist leader, Edith Roosevelt was feted by the son of the "Father of the Chinese Republic," and Jackie Kennedy Onassis found herself, as she put it "kidnapped" in an armored car for a day by the propaganda ministry.

To read the details about the unique and untold stories of U.S. First Ladies in China , illustrated by dozens of photographs, go to the three-part National First Ladies Library Blog series:

American First Ladies in China, A Fascinating, Untold Saga, Part I
(covers Julia Grant, Nellie Taft, Edith Roosevelt, Lou Hoover and Edith Wilson)

American First Ladies in China: A Fascinating, Untold Saga, Part 2
(covers Pat Nixon, Betty Ford, Lady Bird Johnson, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Nancy Reagan)

American First Ladies in China: A Fascinating, Untold Sage, Part 3
(covers Barbara Bush, Hillary Clinton as First Lady, Rosalynn Carter, Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State)

Telling the Stories of SXSW One Outfit At a Time

This year, our head video editor, Andrea Cruz, and I (Lily Mandelbaum, StyleLikeU co-founder) hopped a plane to Austin and slept at a friend's house in order to talk to some of the most uniquely stylish musicians at this year's South By Southwest.

For our quick, fun, and empowering video series, Dailies, we asked seven of the festival performers to tell us the stories behind their outfits.

Charli XCX told us all about how Baby Spice and Britney Spears has influenced her scrappy mall-goth look.

Cerebral Ballzy's lead singer, Honor Titus, explained his Jewish princess Tiffany bracelets and the reason for the flower tattoos on his palms.

The dreamy, atmospheric singer and Jane Birkin lookalike, Flo Morrissey, took us through her family history as she described her minimal-meets-hippie-meets-bohemian ensemble.

Joon, a hilarious and charming rapper with OverDoz, revealed how he found his true identity with his dreads and tatted-out body.

Meredith Graves, the lead singer of Perfect Pussy, was as energetic in describing her 30-plus tattoos and journey towards loving her body as she was with discussing her band's newfound successes -- just last week, Pitchfork gave their new album, Say Yes to Love, a whopping 8.6.

Funk duo and Janelle Monáe producers, Deep Cotton, told us all about their "boring" style, which did everything but bore us.

Finally, the singer SZA explained how she learned to embrace her freckles and authentic self while wearing Givenchy Birkenstocks and cute-as-can-be overalls.

Hope you loved all of our SXSW Dailies.

Throwbacks are the best way to celebrate any occasion. So, in honor of Tommy Hilfiger's 63rd birthday today, we just had to tap into our nineties and early aughts nostalgia and dig up some outfits that defined Tommy Hilfiger style.

Yes, there was a time when you could spot a Hilfiger piece a mile away. Celebrities loved to rock the designer, whether it was an oversized tee enhanced with the red, white and blue color scheme, or a strip of the brand's signature boxers peeking out the waist of baggy jeans.

Hilfiger's designs were, and still are, a staple of American clothing and here are five looks that shows Tommy Hilfiger's versatile brand.

Sharon Stone Wears Completely Sheer Shirt And Leather Pants On Night Out

Sometimes you just don't want to wear a bra, and for Sharon Stone that time was on Sunday evening while dining at Craig's restaurant in West Hollywood.

Yes, you can bet all eyes were on the stunning 56-year-old actress as she stepped out for a night on the town March 23 in tight black leather pants, and a completely sheer black shirt underneath a yellow blazer.

The "Basic Instinct" star has been making headlines lately, appearing on "Oprah Prime" and the March cover of Shape, speaking candidly about aging in Hollywood.

"I’m not interested in being young forever. This idea that being youthful is the only thing that’s beautiful or attractive simply isn’t true," she told Shape. "I don’t want to be an ‘ageless beauty.’ I want to be a woman who is the best I can be at my age.”

13-Year-Old Model Thylane Loubry Blondeau Causes Controversy Again (POLL)

Look who's all grown up! (Sort of.)

Back in 2011, the fashion world was sent into a frenzy by Thylane Blondeau, a 10-year-old model, who was featured in Paris Vogue and even landed the cover of Vogue Enfants. Not surprisingly, everyone had an opinion about whether or not such a young person should grace the pages of the fashion mag, accusing them of sexualizing children and stealing their innocence.

Well, based on what Fashionista reported Monday, it looks like the debate will be opened up once again. Blondeau is French magazine Jalouse's April cover star, and even though she looks significantly older than she did at her first shoot, the reality is that she is still just 13 years old. The mag also includes the hashtag #bornin2001 (is this becoming a trend?), and calls her the "new Kate Moss."

Dressed conservatively in a sweater, natural-looking makeup and a ponytail (not to mention those brows!), Blondeau looks gorgeous and totally age-appropriate. A stark comparison to the lipstick and high heels she was featured in for Vogue. Still, 13 is extremely young to be on the cover of a fashion magazine.

What do you think? Check out the cover for yourself below and vote in our poll.

Gwyneth Paltrow wants to thank water and its "healing power."

The 41-year-old actress posted a no-makeup selfie on Twitter to celebrate World Water Day on March 22, sharing the barefaced photo with her 1.88 million followers.

Paltrow recently opened up about her beauty routine with E! News, revealing that it's "very minimal."

"After I drop my kids, I always exercise and then I take a shower and I basically just put on moisturizer -- and that's kind of it," she explained. "If I have a meeting or something I'll put on some mascara, but that's as far as I go."

Looking good, Gwyn!

Nick Cannon Wears Whiteface, Sparks Internet Debate

Nick Cannon has been busy promoting his new album, "White People Party Music," which hits stores on April 1. However, he may have taken his album title a bit too seriously…

The rapper shared photos and videos on his Instagram account of himself in whiteface makeup with blond hair, a new wardrobe and a "skater boy" accent. Cannon captioned the first photo with a series of hashtags, joking about stereotypically white interests. "It's official... I'm White!!! #WHITEPEOPLEPARTYMUSIC #Wppm in stores April 1st!!!!!!Dude Go Get It!!!Join The Party!!!! #GoodCredit #DogKissing #BeerPong #FarmersMarkets #FistPumping #CreamCheeseEating #RacialDraft "Bro I got drafted!!" he wrote.

Cannon followed up the photo with a video introducing his Caucasian persona, Connor Smallnut.

As you may have guessed, Cannon's costume has caused quite an uproar from both his fans and critics. Commenters on his posts have accused the "America's Got Talent" host of being "racist," "racialist," "ignorant" and "hypocritical." Others have defended his act as "hilarious" and on point.

While the vocal majority has labeled Cannon's antics as offensive, Cannon has continued to defend his actions on Twitter.

Beyond his own response, Cannon has been actively replying to and retweeting comments of those questioning the ethics of the Connor Smallnut character. Cannon even went on to dare one fan to try on blackface:
